Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Place was really clean. Free left luggage if you arrive earlier than check in or are leaving later than check out. Huge kitchen. Willing to lock up valuables at reception. Great location. Lots of books, games tv, movies, and even a guitar to keep everyone entertained. Coffee and tea are free and a cold breakfast is available for just £3.

Cons: Both days we spent in the hostel, a strange indiviual was sitting all the time on stairs just in entrance to the hostel.

Cons: some things have to be repaired and gave a bit inconvenience. Plug in bathroom sink. Wibdow in room streetside could not be closed so it was noisy at Saterday evening / night.

Cons: Could have used individual lighting and a small shelf for each of the beds. Also, there weren't enough lockers for each person in the room and they were tiny. Body wash in the shower would have been helpful.

Cons: Sadly it was a Friday night when I stayed at the hostel. The noise from a local pub and club was disturbing through the night until 3am

Cons: You have to climb stairs to reception and then some more to the room so wouldn't want to do this with a heavy bag. One shared bathroom on the floor, but I never had to wait so I can't really complain (also not really sure how many rooms were actually meant to share the bathroom)

Pros: Great location, good bike parking, and we were served a brilliant vegan breakfast for the price of a continental. As the staff member put it - a vegan breakfast is much cheaper to make because there's no meat in it. Wish other places would realise that and price accordingly! Room was clean and functional and there was plenty of space.

Cons: The mattresses REALLY need replacing. I slept on what felt like bare springs! The sheets do not fit the mattresses and kept coming off the corners. Just because it's a hostel doesn't mean it's OK to have such terrible mattresses and ill fitting sheets!
