Our room is facing the carpark which basically we can't open the curtains.
The hotel is in a great location, central to Stirling and the Castle. Desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The lounge was also comfortable and welcoming.
I don't complain about hotels as by and large as they all provide the key things we need. However on this visit there were 2 key elements that made the experience of our visit poor. Firstly, the beds were way too firm; hard even, the pillows were equally uncomfortable and as a consequence no one managed a simple and comfortable sleep. Secondly, the breakfast was pretty awful. There was a really limited range of things from the buffet, no fruit and many of the items on the menu carried an extra charge. Service over breakfast was via very helpful young people, but overall there were quite long delays and it was somewhat chaotic; not great to follow on from a poor nights sleep.
The size of our room was enormous, very clean with very comfortable big bed and great bathroom and shower... Staff were very helpful and location was excellent with Stirling Castle within Walking distance just several hundred metres up the old cobble road
Car park out front was a bit tight to negotiate
I stayed in one of the suites the Bruce suite it was way above my expectations great space and a bathroom who was excellent the deep bath is heaven, I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful and food is delicious.
I liked everything
A great selection from the menu was available - its a pity the girl on the reception could not smile a little bit
The hard mattress and the noise coming from the extraction units
