La Terrazza sul Campo - Siena - Building
1
9.6 Excellent (443 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: stunning room/suite so much space and in the best location with 180 degree views over the Campo.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely large room in a converted Palazzo. Our room looked over Il Campo which was quite magical. The B&B is situated in the middle of Siena so all the sights are so easy to access. We were able to make the best use of our time even though we were only there two nights.
Cons: In our room an extra bit of lighting would have been good at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All of Everything
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the location really is good. the size of the room was nice.
Cons: the bathroom is not big and the shower very small. bathroom is adapted inside the room. there is no carpet on the floor. breakfast is inside the room and not so good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a suite facing the piazza, the view was amazing! The room was huge and clean. The staff were very helpful and nice! The location can’t be better. It was so convenient, a short walk to all the attractions and delicious restaurants.
Cons: If you have a room facing the piazza, it can get noisy at night. Wouldn’t recommend it for light sleepers or if you are sensitive to noise.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and decor excellent. Owner very friendly and polite. Always helpful.
Cons: Noise outside. Breakfast could have been more varied.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible location overlooking the Piazza del Campo.
Cons: Due to thick walls, wifi only works well in certain spots.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal, including the amazing view of the piazza from the terrace and the access to the main street. The spaciousness of the living room and bathroom, as well as the traditional style fixtures and fittings. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing maps and tourist information and organising 2 reasonably priced transfers for us - 1 to Volterra and 1 to Florence. Our 3 night stay in Siena was one of our Italy holiday highlights. We would absolutely recommend this property to people who are comfortable with the hustle and bustle sounds from outside.
Cons: There was an issue with the bed configuration when we checked in, I had requested twin share which was confirmed by email. However, this was not set up when we arrived. The staff member, a very handsome and polite young man, swiftly corrected the situation and we were only delayed from checking in for a very short time. There was a music concert in the piazza the 1st night we checked in. Naturally it was incredibly loud due to our proximity but we did find it entertaining and it made for a good travel story. The concert went till midnight and then the pack up/clean up went all night which was also noisy and caused some sleep disruption. We put this down as ‘an experience’, after all we did have a free AA reserve balcony view of the concert, but i do think a prior notification of the planned concert should have been issued prior to our arrival. Not sure what the local regulations are but it would have been nice to have a couple of chairs and a small table on the terrace, not just the fixed stone bench seat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is quite simply amazing! The room is amazing, the view spectacular and the whole ambience is heaven. Put simply, my all time favourite hotel or b and b. I heartily recommend and if you want a piece of heaven then stay here.

Located in Siena, Palazzo di Valli is a 1-minute drive from Porta Romana and 8 minutes from Siena Cathedral. Featured amenities include express check-in, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hospitality, the tranquillity, the rooms, the relaxing terrace with the view of the Chianti Hills. The location just outside the city walls made it easy to get to Siena centre by walking or 5 minutes by bus.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location is nice looking to the hills. 10-15 minutes to center by walk. Not to mention its a safe place. Breakfast not bad. Good base if you are travelling in Tuscany. Reception is doing great work to welcome you.
Cons: Although the view from the room is amazing it looks outdated. Furnitures must be replaced. There were some flying bugs on the ceiling and walls. Consider there is no elevator in the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice view
Cons: It would be not so good for people who have difficulty climbing stairs
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Mr. Lorenzo at the reception was delightful and extremely helpful!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful boutique hotel. Renovated villa. Spectacular views of the valley

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent, short bus ride to center of town. Grounds were beautiful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners Jacamo and Lorenzo were so welcoming and helpful. They made our touring of Tuscany a highlight of our month long trip.
Cons: I didn't like the right corner of the gate facing out toward traffic and because of its historical designation it can't be modified. It took out my right rear door panel and undercarriage. Be advised: Pullout into the left hand on coming traffic when clear to avoid this mishap. Do NOT cut sharply left or right when making a turn. Pull straight out till you are clear of the gate.

Pros: We were in this hotel two months ago. Our experience was wonderful. The room was spacious, comfortable and tidy. Perfect location, very close to the Duomo and Piazza del Campo. The hosts were specially kind and helpful. We are very grateful to them, because I missed my cell-phone in a taxi and they did all the process to recover it… and they got it and sent my mobile to our next destiny (Firenze). Thank you so much, Walter!!! If we come back to Siena we will go to this hotel again. We deeply recommend it to all the tourists.

Casa Cecchi - Siena - Bedroom
4
9.3 Excellent (564 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Siena, Casa Cecchi is within a 15-minute drive of Siena Cathedral and Santa Maria alle Scotte Polyclinic. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and refrigerator in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location is good, very close to Siena and it is easy to get into the city by car. Value for money and a good one night stop-over. Owner was very helpful and explained where to park in Siena to avoid fines. Secure parking on the property. Room and bathroom clean.
Cons: Our bed was 2 single bed with metal frames put together, but the double mattress did totally fit the base completely. This made sitting on edge of bed uncomfortable. A few little things that didn't detract from our stay ....there was a kettle in our room, but no tea or coffee with it and fan in the bathroom didn't work. FYI - Expect to be in a residental area on the outskirts, not surrounded by Tuscan countryside.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Andrea was a great host, eager to assist with any questions, for example driving directions, location of a good restaurant, etc. Breakfasts were excellent and generous, and in a nice little detached outbuilding with a real fire (October). Staff was nice and made some excellent suggestions of where to visit in Siena and nearby. There is parking right in front of the the property which is convenient if you are driving though Tuscany.
Cons: Downtown Siena is a good 5-10 minute walk away, not too bad, but not great with rain. We only had one day in the city so I would have preferred to stay inside the city rather than outside.

Pros: Beautiful villa, lovely room, and exceptional staff
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The staff at the hotel are really welcoming and exceptionally friendly and make an effort to make you feel welcome and to assist with directions and recommendations - especially Jimmy and Katarina: thank you both for your time and kind assistance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Cons: Nothing - the hotel is really lovely.

Pros: Matteo & Jimmy were very friendly and helpful, arranging early check-in, recommending and booking great restaurants etc. Lovely seating area on the roof to bring your drinks with spectacular views of the Siena skyline. Room including bathroom was clean & comfortable. Breakfast out in the garden in the sunshine was great. Was able to park the hire-car on the street almost outside the front door in this nice quiet residential area, a leisurely 15 minute stroll from the Piazza del Campo
Cons: Can't think of anything
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, the view of Siena from the roof terrace was wonderful. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, a very pleasant stay.
Cons: The room for breakfast was small given the number of rooms, not all people could be seated at once and it was quite difficult to get between the tables. The food was good and the coffee fresh, it was just the seating and size of the room.

Cons: It took a few minutes to walk in to the city center so if proximity to the piazza is your thing, that's something to think about. Having said that, it was a beautiful property and I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.

Pros: Everything is great. The owner is very nice and explained us everything about the city. Breakfast was good. The location is good if you are with a car, it's just some minutes driving to Siena. However, it's not optimal if you're not travelling by car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We prefered to stay a bit out of Siena, park a car and use public transport to the city - and got it all here. The acommodation is 3 km out of city centre, there is a direct bus to Siena (1.50 euro), which takes 10-15 min and goes every 15 min to the city and back. Very convinient and easy! The room is clean and comfortable, breakfast is fantastic, very rich, the host was superfriendly, he gave us plenty of useful information - where to eat, take a bus, buy a ticket, what to see in Siena, he recommended us also some trips - which we enjoyed a lot! Parking is basically in front of the house. A short walk from the appartment (2 min) is a very nice restaurant with good food. Highly recommend it!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabio is a great host. He's very friendly and gave us a lot of good tips about Siena and cities neaby. Amazing breakfast with a lot of variety! The best cappuccino I had in Italy!
Cons: The bathroom could be a little cleaner.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is very nice! Great location for guests with a car. The bus station to the old city is just near the B&B.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host who was very welcoming! Great location in the countryside - lovely to wake up to roosters not city traffic! Comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast buffet was a great start to our morning. Not to far of a drive to Sienna though we needed GPS to find parking as we are not used to the windy city streets. :) Added picture for underground parking house we used near all the main sites. Great place to stay outside of town and would suggest it if you are traveling with a car and looking for an easy place to arrive and set off from. Thanks for the lovely stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place. easy access to siena. owner very helpful with english spoken.
6.7 Good
Pros: Landlord is really likeable an friendly!! Breakfast was there, you can get feed up and start the day but nothing special. Good location to travel arround.
Cons: Picture are a bit missleading in regard of the chambers size, at least two of them are quite small. Rooms are not very clean. Looking behind the beds and desks you will find lot of cobweb, etc - at least it was so in room 2. Cobwebs can be found also on the walls. Shower cabins yellowed - some guests might have a problem herewith. toilets are clean. Unfortunable very poorly soundproofed, 2 nights contiunuously hearing the snoring from the next room and that can be really annoying. No fly net (ony in bathroom), you are still on contry side and opening windows you might deal with a lot of uninvited guests. I am asking myself how big an investment might be to install some of those fly nets, which would be really helpful to the paying guests.

Hotel Italia - Siena - Bedroom
10
9.1 Excellent (2,931 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Italia places you in the heart of Siena, a 8-minute drive from Siena Cathedral. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The Italian breakfast was superb.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I chose Hotel Italia after looking for a hotel that is both close to the train station, and had excellent reviews. I was not disappointed! As a trail runner who visits towns along the Via Francigena, and runs from one town to the next, and takes the train back, the location of Hotel Italian was perfect. I also had a heavy bag and didn’t want to lug it far from the station, or have to call a taxi, so the location was ideal. From the Siena train station, you walk straight ahead into the first building that is actually a shopping mall. After winding your way a short distance through the mall, you get to a set of escalators that take you up the hill to the city center. Fantastic! No walking! On the second level, there is also a big supermarket named “Pam”. The hotel staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. Since I was going to be tired when I returned from my runs, I wanted a room that was quiet. The room was peaceful and tranquil, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot and strong! The breakfast was excellent with a huge selection of food, which was included in the price. Finally, the hotel is ON the Via Francigena. Just step out the door and you are off! For trail runners or hikers who are visiting Siena for a few days and want a day excursion where you can take the train back, I recommend the south route along the Via Francigena (the direction pilgrims walk) to Buonconvento, which is about 30 km. Thank you Hotel Italia for a wonderful experience! I will surely be back!

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location to old city was great. The room and breakfast were very nice.
Cons: Free parking was 600 m away but there was close street parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the hotel for its decor, location, good size bathroom, friendly staff, breakfast choices, off street secure parking (at a cost of €10 per night) and our room had a balcony with table and chairs, so a bonus (weather permitting). Our room also had a kettle so we were able to make a cuppa. The hotel with breakfast option was good value for money and we would stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel. There are obviously hotels closer but the walk into the centre was approx 15 - 20 minutes at a leisurely, comfortable pace so no issues. You should not be disappointed with the Hotel Italia.
Cons: Our room without the heater on was quite warm. We think that we were above the kitchen to cause this heat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The price and great reviews attracted us to Hotel Italia, but the accommodations, service, and breakfast have us planning our next trip!!! The dining recommendation was a hit! The beds were comfortable and the quadruple room was perfect for our family. Breakfast was delicious and so many wonderful choices. The coffee and tea were a hit!

7.9 Good
Pros: the location was great! Just a few minutes walking from city center. The terrace was a great surprise with an amazing view over siena skyline. The apartment was super clean. I would certainly go back.
Cons: The one thing I would improve would have to be the kitchen utensils. I had a hard cooking a meal because a lot of basic things were missing. Other than that it was pretty good. A small kitchen but more than enough.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean modern apartment with free parking just outside the city wall. Huge terrace with a nice view

Pros: Room was good
Cons: Dog barking persistently No explanation of facilities Lack of replacement water in room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is in a family accommodation, about 5 km from Siena, being Flaminia the host, that received us in very efficient way. The house is very well decorated, with refined taste. The room is spacious, very well decorated and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent, the crockery was very exquisite and the products were fresh and local, with a wide variety. But the best of all was Rosemary, the housekeeper, that made us feel home and gave a sense cosiness!!!
Cons: Liked everything and I strongly recommend it!

Pros: Great location, wonderful room, clean. We really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting a few miles from Siena’s historic center. The morning cook and room cleaner was lovely and very helpful. The owner, Flaminia, was very warm and welcoming. The dining/living room was nicely laid out with shelves and shelves of art books to peruse. The coffee was excellent and included breakfasts nutritious. Ample parking right next to the house.
Cons: Breakfast didn’t vary, and after a week we could have appreciated other things to eat. The bedroom lacked storage space to unpack clothes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The house is beautiful and was everything I expected from an Italian, countryside stay. Breakfast was awesome and the owner is a sweetheart, as well as the lady that helps in the house.
Cons: It's not super close to the town, which is what I was looking for, but other people might find inconvenient without a car. I wish I have booked more days, everything was perfect.

Pros: Very nice view
Cons: It would be not so good for people who have difficulty climbing stairs
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Mr. Lorenzo at the reception was delightful and extremely helpful!

10.0 Excellent

Pros: The castle is amazing! We were lucky enough to be in the tower room with 360* views of the countryside. The room was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. The owner was so friendly and gave us lots of suggestions of things to do in the area. He lives on a farm a few kilometers away from the castle that provides wonderful dinners (don’t forget to book a reservation!). Breakfast in the morning was lovely. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Cons: We requested a bathtab in our room, but not availlable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous room, fully updated (and apparently recently renovated). Therefore, great value for the price. Breakfast was outstanding, and the staff who attended it were very patient (despite some obnoxious guests -- sadly, a few of my fellow countrymen). And the terrace: well, even in overcast weather like the kind that we had, it was just amazing. A view of the Tuscan hills to die for! We could have spent our entire visit to Sienna just lounging there! :)
Cons: All good. Admittedly, we got a great room with a great view. The weather, sadly, did not cooperate, but I don't think there's an app yet that can fix that. :)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Space
Cons: No laundry service and a very basic breakfast that grew smaller the later one arrived to eat
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful to stay in a beautiful old palazzo which has been tastefully converted into hotel space. The garden is very nice. The staff is most accommodating, and the breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The location was a bit further from the Duomo and Campo than anticipated, but once we learned the route, we had no problems. The staff was kind to always give excellent directions.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: We parked in the Parking Lot and it would have been helpful to have staff help with luggage

Pros: It’s easy to get to, parking is very convenient, and the building is immaculate. Its location is very convenient - literally a 10 minute walk to the Duomo or to the Campo. Best of all, the staff are friendly, courteous, professional, and skilled. A gem in my favorite city!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk was wonderful - so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also fabulous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very easy walking access to main points of Siena
Cons: Underground parking lot is too narrow to enter.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location and parking onsite which is a must given Siena doesn’t seem to have any parking. Breakfast included which was also a plus.
Cons: Though they accept dogs and provide a bowl and bed for them they don’t like you to leave them alone in the room at all which wasn’t very clear on the time of booking. We take our dog with us everywhere but if we had wanted to visit museums this would have been a problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice with a view, following our request. Breakfast was good. Service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and polite. The waiters were friendly. The food at the restaurant was good and pleasantly served.
Cons: See above.

Hotel Duomo - Siena - Building
3
8.7 Excellent (3,973 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Duomo in Siena (Siena Historical Center), you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Siena Cathedral and Palazzo Pubblico. Featured amenities include express check-in, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel Duomo is very well located in the historic district of Siena. Driving here can be a little tricky despite very good directions from the hotel (if you're a nervous driver or unused to narrow streets with pedestrians walking in your path perhaps take a train!). We took advantage of Antonio's suggestion (from Reception) to have our hire car garaged by the hotel and brought back when we were leaving the next day. This worked out perfectly and saved us from the possibility of not finding street parking or being fined for parking where we shouldn't. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable - typically Italian in styling (minimalist) and with a tiled floor. The view from our room was marvellous looking out over the rooftops and out towards the top of the Cathedral's façade, dome and bell tower. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Would prefer a screen and door on the shower instead of a curtain.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, only a 10 minute walk from where the bus dropped us off. If we had come by car then this was also catered for. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and very informative. They also spoke very good English. It was our honeymoon and they made sure that we had a balcony where we could watch the sunrise and sunset which was lovely. They even left us a lovely card and a complementary bottle of wine. I really cannot praise this hotel highly enough.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, spacious room, fabulous reception staff
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t great, coffee was poor, breakfast staff lacked interest. Bed top blanket/quilt did not feel/ smell clean. All other bedding was clean and so too was the bathroom.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location. 2 minutes from the Duomo. The hotel was clean, the staff was very welcoming & friendly. Breakfast was very simple but that's ok. We recommend the hotel.
Cons: The only thing was the stairs we had to climb to get to our room but it was worth it for the view from our room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place positioned perfectly.a beautiful hotel you will not be disappointed.
5.6 Okay
Pros: Views from our room were amazing
Cons: We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good location close to Cathedral and The Campo. Comfortable and clean.
Cons: Old building and labyrinth of corridors to get to room. Concerned that it would be tricky to retrace steps in case of emergency exit.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is good
Cons: The room wasn’t very nice
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is fine, Siena is a small town so wherever your hotel is it won't be too far away from the Piazza. There are heaters and AC in the room, although I didn't try the heater and I couldn't find the controller for the AC. Staffs are friendly and capable of communicating with English. They will also give you a map when you arrived. Breakfast available.
Cons: Not sound-proof. This one really let me down...the wall is not sound-proof and I can hear people next room chatting and laughing, and it can be annoying when you try to sleep while they are still talking. The bathroom is a bit small (see the photo), there is no barrier for showers on the floor, the water just goes into the hole on the floor. Breakfast was provided but only limited options. This might be an option if you are looking for a budget hotel or try to save money, but if you are willing to spend a bit more money, looking for other hotels won't be a bad choice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, clean rooms, great personal!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff
Cons: Weird hallways
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Both were good
Cons: Run down. Looks like they have never put any money back in to the hotel. Carpet in hallways was very dirty.
