Pros: The property is beautiful. Elegant, clean and spacious rooms with everything we needed. The breakfast is great. The staff were highly responsive and helped us in planning our trip for the better. They suggested us some great restaurants and gave us pointers for nearby towns as well. Highly recommend this place for those who have a car.

Pros: The two bedroom apartment we rented was pleasant, with a nice view of the property which is in a natural setting on the outskirts of Siena that requires a drive to the old city. There is a pool which might make it a good place to stay in the summer.

Cons: The rooms are a bit loud because of the traffic, despite of this we could sleep well. The center of Sienna is a good 30 minutes walk, but this did not cause any trouble for us.

Cons: Nothing really, but walking up the hill towards the hotel was uncomfortable at times, but it's like three minutes and you dont need a car.

Cons: It took a few minutes to walk in to the city center so if proximity to the piazza is your thing, that's something to think about. Having said that, it was a beautiful property and I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere.

Cons: For those who don't have a car, it might be a cumbersome walk to and from town centre. Cabs are available for return though.

Pros: The two bedroom apartment we rented was pleasant, with a nice view of the property which is in a natural setting on the outskirts of Siena that requires a drive to the old city. There is a pool which might make it a good place to stay in the summer.
Cons: We booked the afternoon of December 25th and I tried to cancel the morning of the 26th due to mourning a death in the family that I explained, and despite that the hotel would not make an exception to their cancellation policy and wanted to charge the full price of our booking. After much back and forth, they offered a reduction of 40 euros and said we would use the rest as a credit in 2020. I advised that we do not travel to Europe and to the Siena area each year, and so the credit was not a viable option. No compassion and the hotel was full, so it was certainly not because the hotel would suffer an economic hardship. Extremely disappointing. The hotel also requires that you do any dishes before leaving and there was a line and wait to check out.

Breakfast was outstanding, and the staff who attended it were very patient (despite some obnoxious guests -- sadly, a few of my fellow countrymen). And the terrace: well, even in overcast weather like the kind that we had, it was just amazing. A view of the Tuscan hills to die for! We could have spent our entire visit to Sienna just lounging there! :)

Cons: The location was a bit further from the Duomo and Campo than anticipated, but once we learned the route, we had no problems. The staff was kind to always give excellent directions.

Cons: Not the best Wi-Fi setup. When you come back to the hotel after being out the Wi-Fi does not automatically reconnect. You have to do it manually. It is sometimes slow to reconnect which was very frustrating.

Cons: In booking.com I have added the breakfast and I saw it clearly is €22 per person per night and I took 2 so it’s €44. But hotel charged me €26 per breakfast per person and they kept saying they are right and didn’t overcharge me. I don’t know If this is the error of booking.com details or if this is hotel wrong info. I am still getting this dispute and I ask for escalation as I am not happy with it and I am looking forward to the outcome.

Pros: The staff was great, specially Davide. He was always ready with a smile, and was quick to offer recommendations - and they were good places to eat. He really listens to you - and remembers your request - and follows up on it! Breakfast was great! They have hot - and cold - and the staff was quick to refill. The hotel was easy to get to from the train station because there is a covered escalator/travelator, that you can access from the mall across the train station, up to the town! All the main sights are within walking distance. And if you decide to make Sienna as your base to explore other nearby towns, the trains and buses are convenient.

Pros: This place was great from start to finish. The concierge was very friendly. We were able to stay in a facility just behind the hotel with an excellent view. Slight issue with heating (in Dec) that was immediately corrected by the staff. The rooms and living areas were nice and very comfortable. Siena is incredible, and the hotel is perfectly situated just outside of the city walls - providing a tranquil and beautiful setting just a short walk from the heart of Siena. We cannot say enough nice things about the staff - particularly Lucio, who was such a savior to us. He booked winery tours and dinners for us, gave incredible and thoughtful advise. We highly HIGHLY recommend Hotel Santa Caterina.

Pros: Fantastic hotel! We stayed for 3days in August. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. In a very beautiful garden with a wonderful view of Tuscan countryside, we took breakfast and enjoyed the Prosecco in the afternoon. The room with balcony where we stayed was really comfortable.

Pros: This place was great from start to finish. The concierge was very friendly. We were able to stay in a facility just behind the hotel with an excellent view. Slight issue with heating (in Dec) that was immediately corrected by the staff. The rooms and living areas were nice and very comfortable. Cons: You need to make sure to tell them you need the parking lot. We didn’t know and left the rented car several blocks far from the hotel. When asked if the parking lot wasn’t included, the older “stylish” guy just “laugh at us” saying it’s not for free at that he would have remembered if we would have booked it cause it cost 15 EUR per night and that’s some good money for them. Perhaps just a mistake from our side, but we make this comment cause we didn’t like the way of his reply and attitude.

Cons: We were there over a holiday but for what we were paying this was definitely not worth it. The hallways were a disaster the carpets really need to be cleaned the room itself had mold around the windows the shower was dirty the lighting was horrible the beds were fairly uncomfortable and overall it was just a big disappointment for the cost. If they spent some money doing a little bit of cosmetic updating I think they could go along way.

The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.

I was lucky to have a room on the top floor and although it is facing the main street and the traffic is a bit noisy, it has a far view of the duomo! The breakfast was very good in a decent restaurant downstair. Overall excellent value.

Pros: We had a great stay at Hotel Alma Domus in Siena, would definitely stay again! A great location by the Basilica of San Domenico, and just a short walk to Piazza del Campo and the Duomo. The room was very tidy and clean, and was nice and warm with the cooler winter weather. Great staff and service and a delicious breakfast as well. We were also treated to a great city view from our room looking across to the beautiful Duomo and Torre del Mangia.

Pros: Very nice staff, gave us a city map right away without even asking and showed us where all the main sites are. Great location right in the heart of the city just off the Piazza.
Cons: Beds were foam or you could feel the springs. No separate thermostat in room and we were too warm and unable to turn the heat off. So we opened the window and then it was loud from the noise on the street.

Pros: Right in the heart of the city, vintage feel. The bathroom is clean and dry. Bed is comfy with clean bedsheets. Furniture in the room is classic.

Pros: The room was a decent size with nice, antique furnishing. The windows were large looking out to the neighbouring houses separated by only a narrow alley that was sporadically used. The bed smelt of fresh sheets. My favourite thing was the vending machine outside the door of my room, which was stocked up with snacks, chocolate bars and mineral water.
Cons: The wi-fi didn't work for me so I had to rely on my hotspot throughout my stay. I was also disappointed to learn that the hotel did not serve breakfast, despite the advertisement on booking.com

Pros: It was a bit out of old town (20 min walk) so away from the hustle and bustle. Staff very accommodating.... extra blankets, early breakfast, settling bill the night before we left. We enjoyed the patio outside the reception area for our carry out dinner. Good breakfast buffet.

Cons: Accommodation is located outside of the city center. Room that we had was not good, it had a window with no view to outside. Bed was terrible, you can not sleep on that. Breakfast was minimal even for Italian standards. Toilet was leaking.

Cons: To cater for the needs of people travelling light, it would be ideal if each room is given proper drinking glass or mugs, instead of very flimsy plastic cups.

Cons: The room was wierd, 3 exterior walls with widows, and therefore it was very noisy. You could hear every single sound, every car passing. The area is very crowded. Besides, the room was extremely cold. The breakfast is poor, bad coffee. Worst booking ever. Do not recommend.

Pros: We were thrilled with this hotel, and found Guglia particularly helpful and friendly! It was the most comfortable hotel of our long week-end (four hotel nights in three places), and had a fabulous shower. The breakfast was wonderful, and the proximity to the Siena historical center was a dream (we did have a car, but I think we could also have walked). It had everything we wanted, including free in-room internet and a place to deposit our car. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend it.

Cons: in our first room we had a broken window. therefore we changed the room were found more than two dozens of bugs. when we came home after dinner in the whole floor it smelt strange - maybe from the house canalisation. it is quite noisy as the highway is just a few meters away.

Note: i couldn't undo the no for the below question - would i recommend this hotel..i feel it all depends on the individual..for me it was the inconvenience of getting into the campos area..other than that the hotel was a good place for relaxing...very quiet and nice
