Pros: The two bedroom apartment we rented was pleasant, with a nice view of the property which is in a natural setting on the outskirts of Siena that requires a drive to the old city. There is a pool which might make it a good place to stay in the summer.

Cons: The rooms are a bit loud because of the traffic, despite of this we could sleep well. The center of Sienna is a good 30 minutes walk, but this did not cause any trouble for us.

Cons: Nothing really, but walking up the hill towards the hotel was uncomfortable at times, but it's like three minutes and you dont need a car.

Cons: We booked the afternoon of December 25th and I tried to cancel the morning of the 26th due to mourning a death in the family that I explained, and despite that the hotel would not make an exception to their cancellation policy and wanted to charge the full price of our booking. After much back and forth, they offered a reduction of 40 euros and said we would use the rest as a credit in 2020. I advised that we do not travel to Europe and to the Siena area each year, and so the credit was not a viable option. No compassion and the hotel was full, so it was certainly not because the hotel would suffer an economic hardship. Extremely disappointing. The hotel also requires that you do any dishes before leaving and there was a line and wait to check out.

Pros: Gorgeous room, fully updated (and apparently recently renovated). Therefore, great value for the price. Breakfast was outstanding, and the staff who attended it were very patient (despite some obnoxious guests -- sadly, a few of my fellow countrymen). And the terrace: well, even in overcast weather like the kind that we had, it was just amazing. A view of the Tuscan hills to die for! We could have spent our entire visit to Sienna just lounging there! :)

Our room was clean and beautifully decorated but still quirky, with beautiful wooden furniture. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. I'd certainly return.

Cons: The location was a bit further from the Duomo and Campo than anticipated, but once we learned the route, we had no problems. The staff was kind to always give excellent directions.

Pros: My wife and I only stayed one night but it was an enjoyable one. With me having come down with a bit of a cold we decided to stay in and dine at the hotel's restaurant, Il Mangia. The food and service was excellent and we had more than sufficient vegetarian/seafood options. Hotel Athena's free buffet breakfast was also (mostly) pleasing. It was certainly the biggest we'd encountered in our three weeks in Italy (and the first to offer beans as a hot option!). The city view from our room wasn't much to talk about but the view of the countryside from the Terrace absolutely is!! Another plus for the hotel is the location. It takes only ten minutes or so to walk to the Piazza del Campo, and is also easily accessed by car. The free parking is another bonus. Overall its a classy hotel. My wife and I will no doubt give it first consideration when we return in a few years time.

Cons: Not the best Wi-Fi setup. When you come back to the hotel after being out the Wi-Fi does not automatically reconnect. You have to do it manually. It is sometimes slow to reconnect which was very frustrating.

Cons: In booking.com I have added the breakfast and I saw it clearly is €22 per person per night and I took 2 so it’s €44. But hotel charged me €26 per breakfast per person and they kept saying they are right and didn’t overcharge me. I don’t know If this is the error of booking.com details or if this is hotel wrong info. I am still getting this dispute and I ask for escalation as I am not happy with it and I am looking forward to the outcome.

Pros: The staff was great, specially Davide. He was always ready with a smile, and was quick to offer recommendations - and they were good places to eat. He really listens to you - and remembers your request - and follows up on it! Breakfast was great! They have hot - and cold - and the staff was quick to refill. The hotel was easy to get to from the train station because there is a covered escalator/travelator, that you can access from the mall across the train station, up to the town! All the main sights are within walking distance. And if you decide to make Sienna as your base to explore other nearby towns, the trains and buses are convenient.

Pros: Fantastic hotel! We stayed for 3days in August. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. In a very beautiful garden with a wonderful view of Tuscan countryside, we took breakfast and enjoyed the Prosecco in the afternoon. The room with balcony where we stayed was really comfortable.

We cannot say enough nice things about the staff - particularly Lucio, who was such a savior to us. He booked winery tours and dinners for us, gave incredible and thoughtful advise. Cons: You need to make sure to tell them you need the parking lot. We didn’t know and left the rented car several blocks far from the hotel. When asked if the parking lot wasn’t included, the older “stylish” guy just “laugh at us” saying it’s not for free at that he would have remembered if we would have booked it cause it cost 15 EUR per night and that’s some good money for them. Perhaps just a mistake from our side, but we make this comment cause we didn’t like the way of his reply and attitude.

Cons: We were there over a holiday but for what we were paying this was definitely not worth it. The hallways were a disaster the carpets really need to be cleaned the room itself had mold around the windows the shower was dirty the lighting was horrible the beds were fairly uncomfortable and overall it was just a big disappointment for the cost. If they spent some money doing a little bit of cosmetic updating I think they could go along way.

Cons: We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.

Pros: We had a great stay at Hotel Alma Domus in Siena, would definitely stay again! A great location by the Basilica of San Domenico, and just a short walk to Piazza del Campo and the Duomo. The room was very tidy and clean, and was nice and warm with the cooler winter weather. Great staff and service and a delicious breakfast as well. We were also treated to a great city view from our room looking across to the beautiful Duomo and Torre del Mangia.

Pros: Good location, closed to the Siena city. Privat parking.
Cons: Very noisy environment. Unfortunately, during our stay, the roof was reconstructed. In front of our window was the machine and very noisy workers. I kindly asked the receptionist for an another room. The situation was a little better, but the noise was from 7am and spoil our whole holiday in very romantic Siena:-( Before our leaving I showed regret that the hotel didn't inform guests about the reconstruction in advance to give a chance book another hotel or offer a discount for discomfort. But the receptionist was very uncomfortable and I was reminded that they moved us to another room and what I want more. It was a big disappointment for us :-(

Pros: A cozy and comfortable stay on the outskirts of the city. One needs to have a car to commute in and out as the hotel is 15-17 mins away from the nearest town. Friendly staff to assist you with recommendations.
Cons: One of the worst WIFI service I ever encountered in my life. Also, the blankets in the room were not comfortable enough. The room heater was bearly working.

Pros: The location is very good if you travel by car, there's a large parking area. Walking to the city center could be challenging, but I guess it can be done, it's better by car. The place is nice and quiet even if it's close to the highway. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of a typical Tuscany vineyard. Breakfast is OK, the staff friendly. Next time in Siena I will come back here for sure.
Cons: The room was spotlessly clean, but the fragrance inside was too strong, we kept the window opened for hours, but the strong perfume smell didn't go away. The shower cabin was clean but needs modernization.

Pros: 1. A neat, clean and well run auberge with helpful, friendly staff. 2. We found the self-serve breakfast an excellent way to start the day. 3. Location was very good because it is right on the bus route into Siena (about 20 mins up to Piazza Gramsci) and has its own parking lot for the hire car you want to use for trips to the surrounding villages. 4. Shot is of the view from our window.

Pros: The room was a decent size with nice, antique furnishing. The windows were large looking out to the neighbouring houses separated by only a narrow alley that was sporadically used. The bed smelt of fresh sheets. My favourite thing was the vending machine outside the door of my room, which was stocked up with snacks, chocolate bars and mineral water.

Cons: Beds were foam or you could feel the springs. No separate thermostat in room and we were too warm and unable to turn the heat off. So we opened the window and then it was loud from the noise on the street.

Pros: We were thrilled with this hotel, and found Guglia particularly helpful and friendly! It was the most comfortable hotel of our long week-end (four hotel nights in three places), and had a fabulous shower. The breakfast was wonderful, and the proximity to the Siena historical center was a dream (we did have a car, but I think we could also have walked). It had everything we wanted, including free in-room internet and a place to deposit our car. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend it.

Cons: in our first room we had a broken window. therefore we changed the room were found more than two dozens of bugs. when we came home after dinner in the whole floor it smelt strange - maybe from the house canalisation. it is quite noisy as the highway is just a few meters away.

Note: i couldn't undo the no for the below question - would i recommend this hotel..i feel it all depends on the individual..for me it was the inconvenience of getting into the campos area..other than that the hotel was a good place for relaxing...very quiet and nice
