Cons: Sometimes, the trolley took forever. And if you are planning on leaving the property early before the trolley starts operating try to walk to the lobby because when we had our excursion to marrietas islands we called for a ride to the lobby ( we were in tower 5) and they never made it. We had to walk to the lobby and then wait for a taxi in the lobby. We ended up being late to the excursion meeting time. But were lucky enough to get in to the boat.

Cons: They sneakily roped us into a VERY unpleasant time share presentation and were pretty rude about it. We only stayed for 1 night so they basically soured our entire opinion of the place. You also need to take a shuttle and go through a bunch of annoying stairs or elevators just to get from your room to the main lobby.

Cons: I absolutely did not care for the pushy time share sales staff that circles around you every time we walked by. You couldn't even avoid them since their stand is right by the lobby & elevator. In addition, their sales tactics were pretty fraudulent. At first, everything sounds free, then these little fees start getting added and quoted rates change. Even when we were politely declining, they would follow you to the elevator or continue to push. I expected better from Sheraton than to allow this on their resort.

Cons: Adult beverages were pretty weak. The condition of the rooms was ok, but nothing special and ours was a bit musty. They were also doing renovations on the tops 2 floors of the hotel while we there. You could hear every conversation that anyone was having in the hall and our toilet would occasionally run for no reason and was LOUD. If you love bad covers of any song, then this resort has the music selection for you.

Cons: Beach is bad, rocky everywhere and strong currents

Cons: Remodeled rooms are very nice (modern, luxurious), but not all rooms have been updated, and those that have not been updated are mediocre at best.

Cons: Cigarette butts on balcony, food trays left all day in hallway, leaked water from window, hot tub out of order, had to pay 50 pesos to print boarding passes. Upon checkout most guest service representatives would ask "how was your stay" "look forward to welcoming you back soon" --- NOTHING.

Cons: The girl at the right side of entry . pushy in trying to get us to visit other hotel. Inconsiderate.

Cons: The only complaint I have is that we booked a king bed and we got two double beds instead, we tried for two days to switch into a room with a king and gave up. They wanted to put us in a smaller room with no view.

Cons: I was given a room that was already occupied

Cons: Many guests served way beyond their limit made for a sloppy atmosphere. We stayed for one night before heading to our resort in NV. Prob wouldn't do it again. if you're on spring break or a budget this place leaves a lot to be desired. Timeshare pitch was a hassle for guests staying only one night as well.

Cons: The constant barrage of timeshare sales people and lack of shuttle service from the airport was annoying. The DJ at the pool was loud and went on far too late. Breakfast was only available until 11 and the buffet breakfast was terribly overpriced. We found that the $100/person for the all inclusive was exorbitant.

Cons: The people in the room next to us stayed out late and were very noisy late at night when they were coming back to their hotel room so the walls must be somewhat thin. The food at the hotel was just ok. I'm glad that we didn't book the all inclusive option for our stay because we would have been tired of the food by the end of our stay. There are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby so there is no need to eat at the hotel all the time.

Cons: When first shown a room within the hotel with No external view. Just a window looking out on an internal walkway. I complained & ended up with a beach front Room with a balcony.

Cons: I cannot think of a thing to complain about.

Cons: i was charge WAY TO MUCH I DO NOT KNOW HOW YOU PEOPLE CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT CHARGING DOESNPRICES THAT YOU CHARGE ME. WHAT YOU CHARGE ME MORE THAN THE HOTEL CHARGE FOR THE ROOMS SO I WOULD NOT RECOMEND YOUR SERVICES EVER.

Cons: The light fixtures in my room were not all in working order and the place just felt old.

Cons: Only 2 restaurants with very limited menu. And some of the items would finish very early leaving rests of the guests with even less choices. There were only 4-5 deserts in lunch and dinner. Nightly shows were pathetic and very few guests attended those. Kids club activities were non-existent.

Cons: Only issue we had was that the Mariachi band played in the lobby until 2am, which included trumpets playing loudly. Some guests took that party to their rooms after causing a disturbance. We called front desk and resort compensated us with a couple of $90 spa certificates (hour massage) as well as champagne and choc-covered strawberries. Appreciated that.

Cons: There is no real bar. People hang at the pool all day and they serve drinks in the lobby and restaurants at night, but there isn't a regular bar anywhere on property. Given the amount of alcohol the staff has to run and get (even delivering to rooms) it would seem everyone would be happier with a place that had some music To hang out in. Likely they view the lobby this way, but the ambiance is wrong. It's my only complaint.

Cons: The bathroom was in need of some repairs, it doesn't have a window so it's very stale and muggy most of the time.

Cons: Granted our stay was over new year's but for the price we paid ($350 per night) the rooms were under furnished (no coffee or end tables, no living room chairs other than a couch) and was filled with cheap furniture that looked as if it was bought at a flea market. Furthermore the kitchen was outside on the balcony and was not equipped with even basic supplies such as dish soap and scrubber, paper towels, coffee filters or the bare acceptable minimum of essentials such as cooking oil, salt, pepper or sugar. There was no filtered water available as in every other place we've stayed so we purchased bottled water. We will never stay here again nor recommend it to any of our friends, instead we'll stay at the beautifully appointed rentals available up and down Amapas that we've rented 8+ times in the last two years. The sad thing is this place has such potential.

Cons: Rooms are a little out dated. They should at least put some pictures on the walls. But my biggest pet peeve is having Wifi only in the lobby. We are in 2014 how hard can it be to have Wifi in all the rooms.

Cons: Had pigeons on the balcony every day. Roof top was boring

Cons: We weren’t inform if we loose one of the bracelets you will have to pay extra for a new one. Otherwise everything was good

Cons: The restaurant and bar need some special attention! Some of the staff, in these locations, is ill-tempered and uncaring; this was in sharp contrast to the graciousness of the rest of the staff. Food choices were limited and the restaurant was not open for dinner. The Tropicana, to be a major hotel contender in P.V., needs to attend to their food and beverage departments.

Cons: Just a few things I didn't like. The internet service is not good. It's bad enough to have to go to the lobby for service, but even that was spotty. The staff in the restaurant were impatient and a little cranky at times, but I think this might be because, in my opinion, the restaurant is understaffed. Just one more thing. We have some friends that live in Puerto Vallarta, and wanted to have them up to our room to have a cocktail before we all went out to dinner. They were turned away, and think that was rediculous.
