Pros (+) Hubby gave me a two night stay at the Auberge du Vieux-Port in Montreal for a Christmas present. It couldn’t have been better. We arrived on a Monday and after a bit of difficulty finding a place to park, checked in. The hotel staff were simply amazing. Every one from the cleaning staff to the valet were probably the most accommodating and kind and gave the impression that they really liked their ...

Pros (+) Housed in an old port building, the modernized property combines the best of the old with contemporary updates. Riverfront views with the attractions of the Old Port just a block away, it’s easy to get anywhere you want to go. We stayed for a long weekend as the season was just winding down and thought the setting was romantic, service was delightful and amenities just right.
Cons (-) The walls were a bit thin, we could hear our neighbors clomping around in heels and could very easily hear conversation. This was all Day time stuff and didn’t have interrupted sleep at all.
