Cons: We booked a suit got there realized it was small, stayed 2 nights and took an extra room.Day 3 we booked a two bedroom suit which really isn't it's just them bringing two rooms together. We were shown a suit with a balcony & since my artist is super claustrophobic and has a lot of luggage we agreed to that.Upon going to pay they claimed someone booked that particular room for 2 nights and we booked it right with them less than an hr ago for 3 nights. These super racist hotel people just because the person was black almost even lied they never showed us the room.We left the hotel and booked a huge 3 bedroom penthouse suit somewhere else.Mind u we had no issues we these people we just decided to leave after realizing it was more of a racist thing, I forgot to mention their services suck, they barely help with anything like umbrellas and opening doors smh we never even had a conversation with any one except the manager the day we left but go this email today claiming we were rude to their guests.

Pros: Fantastic location! Loved the look and history. Loved the age of the hotel. Breakfast on site was a plus. Good selection, easy and started the day off right.
Cons: The booked us in an ADA room and that was all they had. The room was spacious and bed was comfortable but the shower was awful and the sink was too low if you stand at it. I felt terrible taking a very well equipped ADA room and it was not super comfortable for tow very tall adults.

Pros: This is a stunning building where most of the original features have been retained. The bar and restaurant is funky and modern yet in the most incongruous Victorian environment. Room was very high ceilinged and immaculately furnished and comedy and clean.

Pros: This hotel is the closest to the Town Hall/Albert Square. Getting there from the train station cannot be easier; the tram stops right in the corner, a few steps away. It is close to everything in downtown Manchester. Very comfortable beds. Very large bathroom. There were many airline employees all the time, so I guess they know it is comfortable and very convenient.

Pros: The Midland Hotel is an impressive building in an excellent location. I found the staff invariably professional, courteous and attentive at all times, no matter what their area of expertise. My room was large, sumptuous and beautifully quiet. Ample desk and coffee table space with several arm chairs, and a dressing area, beyond which was the spacious en-suite bathroom. Plenty of available electrical outlets, good sized TV, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities and sparkly glassware rounded off the in-room facilities very nicely. Room service food was priced fairly and arrived promptly and piping hot.
Cons: There could have been better / more lighting in the dressing area in order to take advantage of the full length mirrors. And the air-conditioning controls were a bit fiddly to adjust - a remote control might have been a better option.

Pros: Service. Upgrade to suite. Although they didn't bring the car round to reception like last time.
Cons: Noisy, roadworks, wedding party again. Same as last time. Disco till all hours. Hotel parking is £17. If you are paying £160 to stay there, the parking should be free. Where else do they expect you to park except the hotel you are staying with? Bathrooms are tiny. Breakfasts are very pricey. So for £160....a bed, yes comfy, a small bathroom, and a noisy nights sleep. If parking had been included, and breakfast, would be different.

Pros: On arrival, the check-in process was very speedy and straightforward. We found the room to be very clean but smaller than we'd expected but this didn't matter as we were only staying for one night. The buffet breakfast was very tasty and had plenty variety.
Cons: The mattress and pillows were a little hard. The main issue we had though was that people in the next room complained about us being too noisy. We had returned to our room at 11.30 pm and were chatting with the TV on for half an hour - we were definitely NOT making a lot of noise with our voices and the TV volume was quite low. I would therefore suggest the rooms are inadequetely sound proofed

Pros: I really didn't like any aspect of this hotel or my stay there.
Cons: No outlets by the bed - I have a CPAP machine and the staff was completely baffled as to how to solve my problem. My traveling companion insisted on an extension cord, which they were eventually able to provide, but this is the first hotel EVER in my experience where there were no outlets by the bed. The beds were sized for children, not adults, and were in dismal shape. The rooms were too small to allow for much movement, I had booked a single room with two beds, and the staff screwed up our reservation and put us in two separate rooms. I'm deaf and depended on my companion to assist me, so this left me in a bad place. Both of our rooms were directly above a nightclub - neither of us could get any sleep until the club closed at 2:30. And I didn't need to hear the music booming up from downstairs - the entire room vibrated. The entire place felt worn out, old, and used. The chairs in the lobby had cracked vinyl, and it felt like a dump. Our stay was ruined because of our lack of sleep, the management only offered a measly 10% discount (we're asking for a full refund from the owners), and we ended up returning to London early because we were both so tired and fed up. Stay away from this place - it markets itself on character and charm, but it's only surface veneer - it has neither.

Pros: We paid extra to get a hotel with a window, only to turn up and be out in a tiny twin room with no window. The air con in the room had the control panel hanging off the wall and it was unbearably hot. We asked to be moved to a different twin room with a window, which the staff originally told me they wouldn't do. After some complaining at the reception they eventually moved us but the room was now a double instead of a twin which they'd told us it would be at reception. This room had mould on the wall underneath the window and on the ceiling. For the price of the room I expected much better.
