Houston hotels near Minute Maid Park

Cons: There's too much noise from the bar that comes up to the rooms. The staff are sometimes very preoccupied

Cons: Only one coffee serving in our room.

Cons: I wish parking was a bit less expensive, or there was a self park option.

Cons: No minibar,, no vending machines ,no smoking- but no balconies !!!! I expected a high class, luxury hotel..... I found myself regretting the choice immediately upon arrival in the room... No minibar, (then why did they take a 400 dollar deposit from my card without mentioning it, in addition to my paying the 600 up front for the two days I was staying there.??????!!?..... Which will take a week to be put back on my card...... No soda or vending machines, closest 24 hr place to get snacks is 3 miles away.... They charged me over 60 dollars in overnight parking fees without ever asking me whet make or model or license plate number... I didn't even have a car with me on this trip- staff were condescending and rude about my attempting to address these and other issues..... Don't stay here Houston is big no shortage of alternatives that are not a waste if minry

Cons: The valet was decent. It's about $34 a night after tax for one car, but it is downtown Houston. They are very quick about getting your car ready for you when you call for it. At night we called valet for a cab and went down 10 minutes later and they said it had not arrived yet. My group waited 10 more minutes inside the garage before the valet guy told us to stand on the street and try to get one. What is the point of calling ahead for a cab if they wanted us to go flag one down ourselves. There is no on site self parking, but there is a small private owned parking lot connected to the right of the hotel which is $10/ a day where my friend left his car. Check your bill before you leave!! I was charged an extra $20 dollars for "long distance calls." I didn't realize it was considered long distance to call valet down stairs... They were happy to take it off, but I'm glad I checked it.

Cons: Management was very unprofessional and rude de when handling services charges and fees.

Cons: Nothing, everything was excellent.

Cons: Corridors seem cramped as is elevator access when using a luggage cart.

Cons: Could not print or scan anything -This was disappointing to say the least Why would you even call it a business center when the most basic facilities are missing? Wi-fi went out for more than half a day during a weekday. Not what you would expect in a downtown inn.

Cons: Hotel is older. Rooms are a bit small for my liking. Maintenance has to come to your room to open vents to allow HVAC to work (bit of a hassle). Bathroom sink smaller (can't put much on it).

Cons: The pool closes before 10:00, and it's a main attraction, it's coming apart, and it's SUPER cold even in August. The smoke detectors go off when you dry your hair. Very annoying. No complimentary breakfast unless you pay a LOT extra for some overly-fancy room. This place looks so much better than it actually is. Very expensive and doesn't offer anything special.

Cons: Rooms were not good. Beds were terrible. Possibly the worst hotel beds I have slept in. Noisy and kept the kids up as they are light sleepers. The hotel itself smelled old and the rooms did as well. There was mold in the inside bath/shower unit. We left the hotel as soon as we could. Staff were fantastic. The employees in the hotel did a great job.

Cons: Glasses were to small to mix cocktails in the room

Cons: At night, the AC seemed to shut down automatically for a period of time. It got a bit stuffy in the early morning hours.

Cons: We found that the noise from the highway can be very loud and make it challenging for children to sleep at night. We also found cockroaches in the bathroom and that is not good indication of cleanliness. We raised the fact that we found the cockroaches to the hotel staff and their response was okay we will inform the housekeeping.

Cons: too expensive for parking 35$

Cons: I booked well in advance, but was given the room next to the elevator because they were sold out. The front desk person did try to be honest about it when I checked in, but didn't have any alternatives. The shower made a horrible chugging noise, and fixtures in the bathroom had visible rust. Also, although downtown Houston is not a walkers' paradise anyway, we were barely in the downtown center and had to walk 20 minutes or more to get to decent restaurants.

Cons: The room air conditioner did not cool the room. The ceiling had what looked like "black mold" but at closer look may be lent from the air conditioner vent. The room area that housed the ice maker looked very neglected which made me feel that the hotel was beautiful on the surface only.

Cons: Lighting a little dimmer than I might like.

Cons: Ac wasnt working properly in room 425. Staff try to fix but didnt have a spare room that they could move us too. But A for effort though
