Hamburg hotels near Hauptkirche Sankt Petri

Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent.

Cons: We specifically selected this hotel because it had AC , unfortunately when we went to the room the AC was very hot. We called the reception couple of time to come and have a look at it , they came after calling them the third time and the guy who came said that he could not do anything about it but he will repot it and we had to wait till the following morning for their technician to have a look, no one came the following morning nor the day after ! It was a very unpleasant stay because of the hot weather and broken AC ! We were occupying 2 rooms and both rooms were the same , when my father went to the front desk in the middle of the night asking to check out they offered him another room , but it had the same problem with the AC! Eventually the front desk guy told my father that the AC needs maintenance and it was not done apparently !

Pros: Breakfast was 18 euro each so we made our own in the kitchen in the room which is fully stocked, cooker rings, fridge and combination microwave cooker plus dishwasher. We were there for a cycling event so chose this place so we could have breakfast before we started out. Excellent location for the city, nice bar area. Very secure area and spotlessly clean. Reception staff are very helpful and seem to know where everything in the city is. Gym is OK as long as no one else is in it, same with the pool.

Cons: Car parking is a whopping 30 euro per night, it is a secure underground car park. As its in the middle of Hamburg the only views out of the window are the main street or a tower block at the rear of the building.

Pros: The accommodation was really clean and comfy. Especially the bed was very comfortable. We were impressed by how quickly the room service cleaned our room. Brilliant service!

Pros: furniture of the hotel is stylish and very comfortable, the employees had co-operated with the guests. we have no idea about the breakfast because of our reservation was without breakfast

Pros: A great view from the 8. floor and our room on the 11. floor. Very clean room with super elegant interior in light grey and white colours. A big bed in a top class, soft linnen and many soft towels in the bathroom. A bathtub with a very modern installations. We were very satisfied.

Cons: Nothing. Piccolo was helpful, the room excelent, the city is great. The hotel has very nice location and the view is over all expectations.

Cons: All great. The “real foyer” is beautiful and inviting, the first entrance downstairs beside the theatre is a little weird. Room for improvement for sure.

One gentleman who served us few days in a row was very nice and helpful Clean bathrooms and floor heating is nice Fluffy nice towels and robes Good ironing board Stuff was very rude from the check-In to breakfast. The only person who actually cared about our stay and our unpleasant experience was Nina Steiner - she actually went and discussed with the management. She was very polite and kind to us.

Cons: The first impression as we walked in was that it is a very worn out building with a very little maintenance; dirty walls and carpets in the main areas (lobby and bar) and the same in the rooms When we arrived we were offered a room with a very bad view (although in the description it said: quite street and patio) Very small rooms (although we had a superior double room) There was an ongoing construction of the patio and half of the outside building and when I contacted the hotel no one has informed me about it The shower head was broken and I cut my fingers Unpleasant and argumentative staff; one breakfast morning one lady started arguing a lot so we didn’t have the breakfast for the last 2 mornings (for which we never were offered any refund) Different style and concept from Dubai Kempinski - in Hamburg they don’t really care what an average client feels or thinks When did my research there were other much better hotels for the same value for money Quality of shower gels and creams is very poor

Pros: Loved the old world opulence and attention to detail. Fabulous products in the bathroom and super comfortable beds. It has been a bucket list item of mine to stay at the Atlantic Kempinski and I was not disappointed!

Cons: We found the serving staff at breakfast to be a little inattentive and experienced long waits where there were plenty of staff milling around and no-one prepared to assist with orders initially. It did improve but for a 5star establishment, this was a bit slack.

Pros: Huge bathroom. Comfortable beds. Swimming pool. Great bar with live music and comfortable seating.

Pros: I have celiacs disease, they were really good at catering for this, a huge basket of gluten free breads, cereals and cakes turned up at breakfast and I was walked through which items on the buffet were gluten free, which included the nuremberger sausages. Add to this that the service is truly 5*, not always the case in 5* hotels, the high ceilings in the rooms, the pool, gym, sauna, gf steak tartare for supper, the view of the Alster at breakfast, it really can't be improved on. AND most importantly all of the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and went the extra distance to make sure you really felt looked after.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff, hotel combines historical and modern. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Big armed Bus stops in front of hotel.

Cons: Food and beverage were very good but pricy however, typical of a 5 star hotel.

Pros: The only thing that saved the overall impression was the Grill & Health restaurant - extremely good service, friendly staff and great food. The hotel was bad but the restaurant excellent!!!! The size of the room was also good.

Cons: The service in the breakfast restaurant - the speed - the selection. Did not like the bar We could also have been told that the hotel was under renovation. Very disappointing to arrive and see the scaffolding everywhere and that the inner garden was closed.

Cons: I accept that I had a room which was on special, and assume has not been refurbished. The bathroom was perfectly fine but the bedroom was slightly dated. Torn curtains, old carpets. One large blanket would have been better. Bathroom robes should be standard.

Pros: The Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg is one of the Classic Hotels with a history of over 100 years. Great location, great value of money, kind staff, extrimely clean roon, free internet at the business center.We will always go back.

Cons: Breatkfast is rather expensive (33 euro per person)

Cons: When visiting the hotel by car, the several roadworks and one-way streets arount the hotel make the journey more arduous than necessary.

Cons: We booked the room with the breakfast buffet on your website, but at the hotel we were told the price exclude the breakfast. We were surprised and upset!!! We also had not any slippers in the room.

Cons: Only got 3 English speaking channels which were all news channels unless you paid at least 20 Euro's for the other channels.

Pros: It's very central and close to traffic. The staffs are really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is nice as well. In general, I liked this place.

Pros: I have been several times in that hotel. It has always been perfect but this time it exceeded our expectations. The room they offered us was beautiful. We had an amazing time.

Pros: Room was very big and the comfort of the robes, towels, slippers etc was great! Everything was super clean and felt very luxurious. I still remember the smell of the soap - perfect!

Cons: When checking out we waited in a line for about 30 minutes. There was not that many people, it just took the staff forever to finish up and they were only two people working when everyone had to check out. I don't understand why they wouldn't have more people on it when it's such a big hotel with many guests coming in and out.

Pros: Perfect location for site seeing. We were able to walk everywhere and the train to the airport is 2 blocks away. Pool & sauna were fantastic and free for hotel guests. Beautifully appointed rooms and bathrooms.

Pros: Great modern hotel,loved the decor , great room we were upgraded and our room was on the ground floor on the water :) ,good variety at breakfast , excellent area , within walking distance of Hauptbahnhof and many attreactions

Pros: Super central location ; 2 subway stations right around the corner and about 150 meters from the town hall, in the main square. Our suite ( 6305 ) was very spacious, the bathroom had a beautiful marble floor , bathtub and big shower. The bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of light thanks to a wall of windows overlooking the town hall. Breakfast included everything you could possibly imagine, plus more ! An entire side of the hotel ( reception area and cool bar ) is right on a canal. There is a bus stop ( and a sightseeing bus stop, too ) right outside the front entrance. The hotel is in a silent street with little traffic notwithstanding its super central location. Highly recommended, indeed.

Cons: The worst hotel I’ve ever been , first people : I booked 2 night my flight was delayed and I arrived in the second night they took for 2 nights ! I asked him I just arrive because the Airline delayed something out of my control ! They refused and charged me for two night also they charged me parking car for two night note that I stayed only one night! I asked them to give me upgrade instead of refund ! They also refused. Second problem: the smell of the room was to bad ! And the smell of the bed is to bad also! I asked them to change the room because of the smell they refused ! Then I ask them to change the bed they do it after 3 hours !!! Third problem is: three of thier staff enter my room without any permission and of them is knock the door and laugh! It seem unprofessional hotel it is 2 star!!!! When I asked the supervisor he told me write your review he doesn't care !

Pros: This hotel really exceeded our expectations! It is centrally located, all the main attractions are reachable on foot and if you're in the mood for shopping just hop over the bridge and you are in the middle of a fairytale. The room we booked was very spacious, it overlooked the river and it had a very comfortable bed. The hotel facilities are great and the breakfast was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and they offered us a prolonged check out without the additional charge. We loved our stay and would definitely book this hotel again.
