Cons: I had emailed the hotel beforehand specifically making sure I would get a double bed (kingsized bed) but instead I got two single mattresses next to each other with two separate duvet covers. But when I mentioned it with check-out the gentleman settled it nicely with great professionalism. Thank you a friendly check-out! The buffet breakfast of 25€ was not up to high standards, no eggs benedict, the eggs counter closed/shut off their lights too early (11:27) while people were still queuing and the lady was very unfriendly. The Spa was way too crowded/small given the capacity of the hotel. Not relaxing at all and no place to lie down given to swim calmly in the pool. Bit disappointing for a 5* hotel.

Cons: If you manage a hotel you cannot think about only to profit. Guest management policy to improve. We had first flight delay and eventually cancelled at the boarding for technical problem. I called the hotel right away to show our complete good faith and asking, even partial, price reduction for the night we didn't stay since we arrived the following day. We asked the same once again when we got there showing emails of air company, but nothing everyone we talked to told us we had to talk with someone else. I expected to be contacted by the manager/supervisor after 3 time bring up my requests at the reception. Eventually We've been told there were no chance to have price reduction even partially for the night we didn't stay. On the checkout day, 4 hours after the checkout I asked if perhaps my headphones had been found in my room. At first moment they told me: usually when room keeper find something they contact us right away. Meanwhile I had to go to the airport, and i received a called an hour later, while boarding telling me that my headphones were there ad asked me my credit card number for shipping (20euro) Obviously I refused. The cost of shipping did not worth the headphone value.

Pros: Very good and healthy breakfast: a large choice of products and a lot of different fruits, bread and cheese. I began with yogurt, fruit, seeds and muesli but I couldn't leave eating omelette prepared in the German way with dark bread. The room is comfortable, warm and clean.
Cons: It was complicated to walk the first time from the station to the hotel with a luggage. Moreover, taxi drivers are not so willing to move for a short trip and didn't help us. But people in Hamburg are very polite and kind and helped us to find our way to the hotel.

Pros: I have celiacs disease, they were really good at catering for this, a huge basket of gluten free breads, cereals and cakes turned up at breakfast and I was walked through which items on the buffet were gluten free, which included the nuremberger sausages.
Add to this that the service is truly 5*, not always the case in 5* hotels, the high ceilings in the rooms, the pool, gym, sauna, gf steak tartare for supper, the view of the Alster at breakfast, it really can't be improved on.
AND most importantly all of the staff, without exception, were friendly, helpful and went the extra distance to make sure you really felt looked after.

Pros: The new bar
Cons: We had booked 2 rooms requesting connected doors. Though they did give us those rooms, one of the rooms 483 had a large wet spot on the carpet - soggy wet. The housekeeping and other staff pretended they knew nothing about it. Being a rainy weekend we didn’t want to stay in a wet room so asked to kindly change. We had just checked in so hadn’t used anything in that room. They offered us one room on another floor which we declined as wanted to stay together aS a family. On suggesting to be shifted to a suite they said the whole hotel was 100% booked including every room and every suite! More than anything the person who came to talk to us - after numerous phone calls - had attitude from and was bordering on rudeness. Needless to say all this caused us a lot of stress and we decided to go to Four Seasons next time

Cons: The location was ideal for us as we wanted a quiet stay but if you wanted to be closer to bars and clubs this might not be the best location for you.

Cons: First of all, my expectation after a long travel to Hamburg is a positive mood in welcoming. The lady in the desk that was making my check-in was very negative, posture, gesture, and the way of communicating was really rude. Her English is very poor. I don't like the attitude at all. I noticed the room phone isn't working, told her and she said it will be fixed by tomorrow. As a result, not fixed and no one informed me about it why and how and whatever. So if she can't welcome the guests, if she can't solve any problem, what does she do there? I asked her room with a view, it was also looking at some space, not to the road. I asked her slippers and iron, at least she made it. She was acting as if I should welcome her not as a guest but as an employee, really hard to understand this approach. Secondly, room doors have hydraulic, so you expect it to close itself, but it stays open somehow. Later I noticed that there is a warning written on the door to check if it is closed, really tricky and feels insecure.

Pros: The staff on reception and the concierge were super; very friendly and really helpful. Restaurant staff and housekeeping were, likewise. The breakfast was amazing. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was excellent. We were provided with a complementary boat trip on the lake, on the strength of our room key. Also, St. Georg is a super area to stay; lively with lots of eating places. Sohoish. A brilliant few days in Hamburg.

Pros: The staff on reception and the concierge were super; very friendly and really helpful. Restaurant staff and housekeeping were, likewise. The breakfast was amazing. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant, which was excellent. We were provided with a complementary boat trip on the lake, on the strength of our room key. Also, St. Georg is a super area to stay; lively with lots of eating places. Sohoish. A brilliant few days in Hamburg.

Cons: Check in was from 3pm , we arrived at 5pm to be told our room wasn’t ready and that we would be given a voucher for a drink in the bar which was a nice gesture until it took another 20 mins to get it . The room was nice , if a little dark .. The reception staff didn’t tell us about any facilities and it was only through chatting to someone else we realised it had a rooftop bar, which when we found it was pleasant. We asked on the morning of checkout if we could possibly extend it to an hour or 2 later as we couldn’t check in on time, we were more or less told no chance as they were busy , not great customer relations ! When we explained to the girl on reception why we were disappointed with the lack of info given on arrival she said did you know you could use your room key for a river trip? That would’ve been great if we weren’t heading to the airport for our journey home ... overall I think the hotel is ok, but staff could be very much more informative to guests.

Cons: I have stayed at the Radisson a few times over the past year for business. My main observation is that the service/quality has dropped. Check in was efficient and I was given a room on the same floor as the business class rooms and for a standard room it had a very nice view (20th floor). I recently became a VIP member of a frequent traveler program and it was only after I checked in and received an email from them asking if I had been informed about my VIP benefits that I realized that maybe my room assignment was partly because of that benefit and they had forgotten to inform me. However upon check out when I asked if my food and beverage had been discounted as per my membership benefits, I had to provide the email as “evidence”. On top of that the discount only applied to meals at the restaurant but not breakfast or minibar drinks. Other things to note: value for money is not as good. For example, many other hotels now have nespresso coffee machines as standard in their rooms. Here it only is available if you book a business class room. Rooms are clean but the bathrooms need upgrading. Breakfast used to have an egg station but that has now gone, although there is a good selection for breakfast items, it is expensive compared to other hotels in money vs selection. Finally there is a significant amount of construction around the area. During my previous stays, taxis were waiting outside the hotel during the mornings but now it seems like they only come through the area for drop off at the train station. I had to wait 20 minutes one morning to get a taxi from there.

Cons: The line to check in was long and slow even when arriving relatively late (19.30). The room seemed to smell slightly like someone had smoked in there a while ago (however it was not strong enough to ask to switch, which I’m sure they could have done had I asked for it). There’s construction work being done around the hotel but that didn’t bother me at all, probably that’s why the price for the room was also moderate.

Great location next to the hauptbahnhof. Rooms are spacious, clean, well furnished with stylish chairs, a desk and hair dryer. The lockers under the beds are the best. The duvet was so fluffy! Heating was great, the view is great. Although small, the private toilet and shower was a bonus. Each bed has its own plug points x3 and small reading light. They have a neat laundry area. Although the accommodation was expensive, compared to other cities, I could see what I paid for. Also, it was one of my cheapest options. I would definitely stay here again, I loved it.

Cons: With urgent trip to northern EU leaving Generator HH with my belongs lock in room bed bottom storage & drove back around 2am in the morning found out one unknown lady slept on my bed. Being told the reception told her to stay at that bed. Really worn out and tired but reception had no idea what’s going on. Compensation offer were free breakfast/ towel/ soap. If you were me, exhausted after four hrs driving and found out your own bed sleeping someone else, would be pleasant? Or you gonna be really annoying? I didn’t stay completely as planned but leaving before 8am with short sleep around four hrs. Until now 11/4, there is no explanation or mail to let me know why this could happen in such a big chain hostel. No one inside that female room that I had spent nights with ever encountered this. So what’s going on actually?????

Pros: Lovely from the moment I stepped foot in there. Super friendly and helpful staff, great vibe with on site restaurant and bar, Sandeman free walking tour people fetch you from the hostel. Great location next to the hauptbahnhof. Rooms are spacious, clean, well furnished with stylish chairs, a desk and hair dryer. The lockers under the beds are the best. The duvet was so fluffy! Heating was great, the view is great. Although small, the private toilet and shower was a bonus. Each bed has its own plug points x3 and small reading light. They have a neat laundry area. Although the accommodation was expensive, compared to other cities, I could see what I paid for. Also, it was one of my cheapest options. I would definitely stay here again, I loved it.
Cons: The biggest problem I have with this hostel, is that it doesn't have a kitchen. I had to prepare my food in my room (at least there was a table). The barman will give you boiled water on request. Don't walk to Hansabrunnen, in the opposite direction of the train station. It is DODGY! The shower head in our room was very impractical, they should consider putting smaller ones on, to improve the water pressure (there was another bathroom down the corridor with a better shower).

Cons: Free parking was advertised but it was not at the premises. It was cold and pouring with rain and we had to walk round the block with luggage. Parking at the hotel was $19 Euros. It should be refunded. The room was advertised as double bed but it was two singles pushed together. Staff insisted this is a double bed! It should never be 4 stars!

Cons: We lived on the 7th floor and it was impossible to sleep at night, alot of noise and music from the Apartments at night. We could hear People talking and movements from the other hotel rooms.

Cons: This hotel is surrounded by two major roads and train tracks. Every morning I woke early as the morning hustle began on the streets and trains. There were no vegan options for breakfast outside of bread and toast. Their photos show fresh fruits available, but it's a giant bowl full of canned fruit cocktail and another bowl with some grapes in it...not great for breakfast. No bananas or strawberries as their photos show.

Cons: *greeted by staff that doesn't speak proper german or english and unable to answer my questions (saying it as a foreign student in Germany, working in the service industry without properly speaking the local language is absurd.) But I am sure that it was just one staff member *our room smelled like the smoking room of a bar and my cousin (13) had his asthma triggered, had to change rooms for our second night. *Room's decoration is outdated, complete with heavy drapes and full floor carpeting.You have the option of a busy street or a parking lot view, and since we were given a room in 1st floor, the noise kept us up until 3 am. *If you book with booking.com and choose their standard option, you are given the worst rooms available,I figured.And since they make you pay in advance, you cannot just walk away or refuse.Top notch service right there :/. *Despite being close to the city center, the neighbourhood is not safe and we didn't feel comfortable walking around at night.

A big supermarket around the corner called "REAL" which has nice fresh fruit and food there, quite convenient if you go there not on weekends. Bus stations and subway also in the distance of few mintutes walking. In the hostel public zone they have some entertaining games, cozy sofa,even kids playing zone.

Cons: I did not like that there came extra fees to pay unannounced when I booked the accomodation on booking, or not clearly enough announced in time. I would prefer them to be included at the beginning in price whe booking my room. First of those where some sort of being accomodated tourist in hansa town Hamburg. The other fee was to pay for hiring ved linnen and towel. In my opinion they should be included automaticaly in the accomodation total price. This two extra fees irritated me because came after I made my booking. Otherwise I was really really satisfied with the accomodation and can consider using it again in future. Cons: I didnt know that I need to pay extra for the bed sheet/towel (like 5 euro for bed sheet or something like that) cuz I didnt see any instruction like that on the web. And a bottle of 0.5L water cost 2.7 Euro,really amazing price. That's still bearable. The most incredible thing was: I booked a bed in a 6-person room and thought that would be a room only for girls, but it's a mixed room !! And there's no info when I booked it as well ! So when I entered the room, there were a girl and a boy hugging each other and sleeping together in such small bed, which really made me awkward. Thanks to god that I only slept there one night and checkedout early the next morning.

Cons: They charge you for the sheets, approx 3€. There were always people queueing at the reception. The room where I stayed had two beds together... Which weird. There are always people travelling alone, so why we should share a bed with someone, who we don't know? Specially if you're in a mixed room, and you're the only girl in the room. The mattress was quite hard, and the pillow too thin.

Cons: The photos look a bit polished. In reality you can see and experience that the equipment and facilities have been worn down by time quite a bit. Nothing is as fresh as it is displayed in the photos. It's not that bad though I felt mislead by the advertisements. You have to pay extra if you want to have bedding. If you don't pay then you have to sleep on an empty mattress. It's not that expensive, but still.. just seemed weird and felt like I was being tricked. Also I was sleeping in the bunk bed on the top and had no way of charging my phone. There are not enough power sockets for everyone in the shared rooms.
