Pros: The staff is very friendly, and my room was very large, very clean, and interestingly decorated. The restaurant (where the reception is) has a large choice of craft beers from Ratsherrn brewery - I wished I had had time to try more of them. The hotel is in quite a busy street. Fortunately, most of the rooms are on the back side or are actually in a separate building in the street behind, where it is quiet.

Cons: it is a real pity that you do not show the prices for breakfast! One could think that they are included because they do not let you know specifically that this is separate... and the price does not match the quality of the food... I find 12€ to be a bit too much

Cons: The cleaning crew hid some of our things in the drawers during the cleaning process. We did actually check out, and remembered that we had forgotten something, even though we had cleared the floor and the restroom. It was in the bed drawer, which we did not place it in!!! It’s fine the cleaning crew wants to clean and keep it organized, however they cannot put stuff in drawers which have not been used by the guests! We could as easily have forgotten it, luckily for us we remembered it. Our computer was also moved around, which is rather disturbing. The cleaning crew needs to be taught not to do this!!

Cons: Unfortunately the internet connection was too limited to allow me to connect to my home office by VPN, and I overheard another guest who couldn't use Skype, so, unfortunately for a business-oriented hotel, an insufficient internet connection to do business with. The staff couldn't assist any more than to say that the connection had been intentionally restricted. The mini-fridge was priced extortionately (perhaps not surprising?). The breakfast was fine, but pricey for what it was.

Pros: Everything about the Kleinhuis Hotel was exceptional. From the kind and courteous staff to the generously sized rooms. We enjoyed an incredible dinner at their restaurant in a beautiful outdoor patio setting. It was by far one of the best hotels we have stayed at when traveling. The quaintness of the property. A charming setting of river ,woods, and gardens mixed in with an incredible hotel experience. A beautiful hideaway just outside of Hambourg.

Cons: No AC, fridge or coffee machine in the rooms. The hotel does provide a fan and a hot water heater on request (no charge). I have to add that this is standard in this area of Germany and usually not a problem since it is not that hot in the summer. And the wonderful coffee at the buffet makes up for the lacking coffee machine!
