The full price was NOT clear. I did upgrade the car, but it was the fees not the charge per day which almost doubled my total charges. I was given a vehicle with a short-range spare tire on the front. This was a front wheel drive vehicle that I had to drive 120 miles in. This tire isn’t supposed to do over 50mph and it isn’t supposed to be used for more than 30 miles. This was extremely negligent and I will be filing a formal complaint.Reviewed 30 Dec 2022

The budget location was closed when we arrived, even though we were on time for our pickup. When I called budget to try and get a car at another location, they said they were completely booked out. The tyres on our Mustang were so worn as to be unsafe. We discovered this when we had a puncture. We replaced all 4 tyres and Budget reimbursed us. But the car should never have been rented out with such tyres.Reviewed 21 Sep 2022

My only annoyance was a "change oil required" message on the dashboard. As it turned out the car had been recently serviced but the computer not reset. Unfortunately, we couldn't find this out over the phone so had to waste half a day of our holiday going to the nearest Budget location. Otherwise, we were very happy with the car. The best part of my car rental experience was dropping off the dirty vehicle budget gave me. The worst part of my experience.... 1. The budget counter had 5 associates working, and I still had to wait over 15 minutes in line. When I rent from Enterprise, I wait less than a minute and I'm out on the road. 2. The sales rep helping me with my rental was trying to upsell me every optional package. I politely told him I'm in a rush as my wife had an appointment, and I need to get going asap. And yet, he INSISTED on explaining to me every optional package after I told him I'm in a time crunch. Awful customer service. 3. The car was DIRTY. There was dirt on the dashboard, nothing was vacuumed. There was trash in the seat pockets behind driver and passenger seats that was left over from previous customers. Budget should be ashamed of themselves for allowing dirty vehicles to get rented. 4. I should have received a discount on my rental given how dirty the inside of the car was.
