The car wasn't clean, with sand in the doors, but the worst part is paying $140 for the car, and then receiving a receipt later saying it went up to 311.78?! How is that even possible? We returned the car with the tank almost full and within 10 hours, although we rented it for 24. Never using it again, it is a total scam pretending to offer a better price.Reviewed 27 Jun 2024

we booked the car (80 CAD) on kayak with an extra insurance for 11 CAD, the price was supposed to be with fees and taxes. when we arrived at AVIS rental we were told (by a very rude personn) the fees and taxes were not included i and that the 11 CAD insurance we took on Kayak was not eligible . We had to pay an extra 50 CAD just for the insurance. TOTAL : 190 CAD instead of 90 CAD (but she made a discount of 20 CAD, so nice !) i don't recommend KAYAK nor AVIS to rent a car. drop off instructions were not clear. car was nice and clean.Reviewed 11 Dec 2023
