The first customer service person we worked with was very nice and helpful. Can't remember his name, but he was at the office indoors. Then we moved outside to claim our vehicle and they tried to put us in a car that was much bigger than we'd hoped for. We were able to ask about getting a smaller vehicle, and had to wait a bit for it, but eventually got one. Our biggest complaint is that they told us any damage at all would be a set rate of $5,000.00, regardless of size (as long as it was bigger than the circle gauge employees wear on their lanyards). The customer service person told us this also included any damage to the rubber tires.. This policy is not in line with our other experiences at rental shops, and is definitely something to be weary of. The only bright spot was George at drop-off. He was phenomenal. I booked a luxury car with manual transmission on Kayak. When I arrived at the rental pickup, I learned that they did not have any luxury cars with manual transmission. They also did not have any luxury cars that matched what I booked, even in automatic. In order to get a luxury car, I had to travel more than 20 minutes from the downtown location I had selected. I paid a premium surcharge to get my car downtown. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience for the money I spent.Reviewed 24 May 2023
