Avis didn’t have the car I reserved. Rented for Alamo at the least minute. No issues. Flight was cancelled and we flew out of a different airport than planned. Again, no issues with Alamo. They were a life saver. Avis, not so muchReviewed 17 May 2022

Extremely smooth process. No wait to see the desk person, then no wait for that person to direct me to the cars in the BWI garage. Easily found the Alamo booth in the garage where a busy person just finished with the previous person and came to me to walk me to our vehicle, which he apologized for not having that class of vehicle and asked if I wanted something bigger, which I did. He said I can have a full sized SUV but I saw some minivans next to that, and asked if I can take one of those. He said, of course, and suggested the silver one as that is the newest. It was brand new with all the safety gear, which was fun, with a big screen. My phone immiately connected with it and was able to use the phone GPS on the big screen. I'm spoiled! Return was pretty much the same. I'm very happy with no wait, and new vehicle (and the upgrades). I realize the upgrades are hit/miss depending on availability so am just lucky on that one.Reviewed 28 Dec 2021

I told the staff I had not rented a car in a while and needed to be show how to do the dash map app. With my permission, they used my phone to plug in the address but I realized quickly (less than 1/4 mile away) that something was not right. They plugged in the wrong address which would have taken me to western MD, instead of north to PA. Also, I realized in the stress of getting up to PA to see my dying brother, that I did not do the typical check on the car so I pulled over to check and it was fine. Again, something that rentals always made sure a customer did. Maybe things have changed I continued to have trouble with the dash app. In Baltimore, only one did the voice speak at the beginning, so I had to look at the dash and then in front of me to navigate rush hour leaving Baltimore to head north into PA.Reviewed 7 Nov 2021

We arrived around 1:30 AM and all the rental agencies were closed except Enterprise who helped Alamo customers during that time. I was unable to use Alamos kiosk after my dog bit holes in my card used for the reservation. The staff provided calm and welcoming customer service in a potentially disastrous beginning to our trip to Maryland. Everything went smoothly and and we were off to enjoy the sights!Reviewed 25 Jul 2021
