The Strathallan - a DoubleTree by Hilton8/10 ratingout of 16 reviews · $165 avg price/ night
PROS: Our queen suite with a door between bedroom & living/studio area was perfect (size, comfort). GREAT pressure/spray from the shower! Nice little pool with windows & sunlight + good gym equipment (though a bit packed/small) —used them both. Only one block from Memorial Art Gallery (MAG). Nice neighborhood. Best of all—the rooftop bar (Hatties) with *AMAZING* sunset view over Rochester... and one of the best Manhattan’s I’ve ever had (they make their own cherries)!CONS: Char (the restaurant) was ... just okay. Definitely not as good as it was raved about...

Homewood Suites Rochester-Henrietta8.1/10 ratingout of 19 reviews · $125 avg price/ night
PROS: The grab n go breakfast was good and the Kitchen in the room was perfect for our family that couldn’t eat out every night. The room was big enough for our family too and well laid out. I also liked that when we told them we have a young toddler and a baby, they put our room away from the others in case they started crying as we didn’t want to wake up other guests if that happened.CONS: The kindness and friendliness of the staff. The first night we got there the ladies were super nice. However, the first time I called the front desk the next morning, they seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered. I didn’t like that they don’t clean your room every night as we were there for four nights. They said it was bc of COVID, but I highly doubt that. Feels like they’re just being lazy and cheap. The walls were thin too. You could hear what was happening in other people’s rooms. Other than that, it was a great stay.
