Pros: Stayed for 4 nights mid November. Very good hotel within easy walking distance to attractions, shops etc. Are room was road side but road noise was minimal and the room was clean and well equiped with tea and coffee facilities, mini bar, free to use safe, hairdryer, Tv with English channels, very comfy bed, good shower only negative is the door to the bathroom is frosted glass so not very private. Good buffet breakfast with hot and cold choices. The ensite restaurant is competitively priced with nice food and with my husband being gluten free they were able to alter the menu to accomodate him. Excursion buses pick up outside entrance at stop No13. The hotel has a spa which is an extra charge of £25 per person per stay which we never took up so didn't use. Parking is available outside there is a Pay meter. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Pros: Great location at one end of the main shopping and restarant precinct was also a very quiet location. Very friendly and helpful staff especially Pedro who assisted us on numerous occasions (his boss should give him the rest of the day off). Large spacious room with modern funky decor . Lovely hot shower with excellant water pressure. Hot and cold buffett breakfast in the morning. Added bonus was one of the bus stops for the fly bus service from the airport so dropped off and picked up at the front door. Would definately stay again.

Pros: Decent price and location
Cons: Much dirtier in person
Kitchen appliances don't work (stoves, ovens, microwaves) so use and need of kitchen is pointless
People staying there do not clean their dishes, and cleaning crew doesn't do them either, so there's always a sink full of dirty dishes and no utensils.
Advertises soap and shampoo provided yet they give 1 tiny bottle of shampoo that people end up stealing so no soap or shampoo
Same with the soap in the bathrooms. No soap.
Checked out a day early (almost 30 hours early) yet told that no refund would be given because not given 24 hours notice (?)

Pros: The receptionist was very helpful. Rooms in good clean condition and attractive restaurant attached was very convenient.
Cons:
5.7 Okay
Pros: It is a bit further from the centre on the ground than it looks on the map :) Still within the range when walking doesn't get annoying (takes 20 min or so). Friendly staff and good price (got 51 euro/night for a week long stay). Free Wi-Fi (but they seem to charge for cable connection).
Cons: The room was rather basic (compared with "average" 3 star hotels "on continent") and I certainly would wish for a somewhat larger bed. Breakfast was ok, but nothing to be excited about.
7.7 Good
Pros: The warmth and flexibility of the desk staff (who had my room ready early after a 2:30 am arrival (Boston time) at the airport), and my lovely view of the mountains across the bay. Th desk staff also phoned the flybus when I left my gloves on it and packed me a sandwich breakfast for an early departure.
Cons: The location is a little remote from the town, and the steps up are a little steep - but well compensated by the fact that the view is great!
6.0 Good
Pros: Close to everything, but quiet. Beds were comfortable, staff were nice. Parking available. Breakfast was sufficient. Internet access
Cons: Small tv's and showers, but this is typical for Iceland.
6.4 Good
Pros: The breakfast was very nice, the rooms were clean, it was a quiet place to stay at, it was not a far walk (5 minutes) from the main downtown area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Service, Very Clean, Very Hospitable.
Cons: Bring your walking shoes, it is about 20 min walk to downtown, but its well worth it for the quality of this hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good reasonable food in related resturant. Good quite but convienent location. Staff most helpful and friendly. Our group of 6 had no complaints. Met or exceded all expectations for type of hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable rooms, good breakfast and helpful staff. Free guest computer was available for checking emails etc. Easy walk to resturants and tourist information office.
6.0 Good
Pros: Warm, comfortable and clean room with plenty of hot water for the shower.
Cons: Tv remote was difficult to work. Not enough tea, coffee, sugar & milk available in the room.

Cons: Difficulty finding hot water in one of the showers. Not sure if it was me or the water line that wasn’t making it hot enough. The remote had to be a few centimeters away from the tv for the remote to work.

Pros: The staff were excellent, and really made us feel at home. The coffee and cake in the afternoons was a nice touch, and the breakfast was ample to get the morning started. The location was excellent too. Just a little away from the heart of the city, but walking distance to the main street, and close enough to the major attractions. Also, the tourist transit bus, to and from the airport, drop you off at the hotel’s doorstep. Nice view of the bay and mountain range from our room.

Cons: My understanding was that there were only single beds, so couples might have to rearrange the furniture, and contend with the slight divide between pushed together beds. Honestly, a MINOR issue. I suppose a mini-fridge would have been convenient. The bathroom / shower was a little small, but no less than I would have expected.

Pros: Interior of the hotel was very clean, location was pretty good, and the free WiFi was useful and worked well. Room was much quieter than many hotels, with earplugs in I only heard hallway noises (not the people next door, above, and below, as is common). Breakfast was decent (but plates, bowls, utensils, and cups could be in short supply). Check-in was inconvenient but they do have a nice luggage room and were perfectly willing to hold our bags both day of arrival and day of departure, while we did some sightseeing.

Pros: The hotel is modern and comfortable. They had elevators and I loved the fact that, in the bathroom, there was a heated towel rail to make the towels and other clothes get dry faster. Very useful in such a cold place. The staff is kind and the breakfast is good. Another positive aspect is that it is in the heart of the city and if you will get a one day tour off (sleeping one night outside of the hotel) they let you leave your bags there.

Cons: It felt a lot like a hostel - difference being the fact they provided sheets and own bathroom. Breakfast was better than what's offered at most hostels I've stayed at but felt very similar otherwise (complete with threatening signs). Our reservation paperwork said check-in was at 2:00--when we arrived, staff was insistent that it was 3:00, and no, no early check-in available. Well before 3:00, the lobby was crowded with people waiting to check-in.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Decent enough for a one nights stay, great parking
Cons: Bathroom had a horrible smell to it that made you feel sick when in it, location is a little far out from town and I felt it’s quite expensive considering what’s offered.

Cons: The process to use the garage is sometimes annoying. You have to use the key of your room, but it does't work always. Therefore, you need to make a turn in the whole square to get again to the reception, find a place to park close to it in the street and ask for a new key. Also, the address in Google maps is not indicating neither the entrance or the garage. It shows a random side of the building of the hotel .

Pros: Bus hostel is exactly a hostel at the bus stop. All tours arrive and leave from there. For me, as a solo traveler, it was the easiest place to stay. I loved the staff, all very kind. The accommodations also very clean and easy to access. Lots of people were talking about the kitchen on lasts review. The staff clean it everyday but the problem is with the guests and not with the hostel. People use the place and leave the dishes and table without clean it. The bus hostel is located very close to the city center.

Pros: Great facility including kitchen and staffs that are all Nice and helpful.
Cons: It is Nice place for traveler alone because it is also a bus terminal to its local tours. You simply just got here and plan where to go.
6.0 Good
Pros: Cafe area, easy access to Sadcars
Cons: No top sheet, blanket charged extra, rooms colder than hall even with 10 people, no laundry
7.3 Good
Pros: Kitchen, luggage room, sheets provided, warm water, staff always available, free computer available
Cons: 3 restrooms/floor, walkable to city center and grocery stores but not within 10 min
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value for the money and facilities. Clean. Friendly staff.
Cons: No sockets or individual lights on the beds. We had to turn on the light of all the room to come in or out, waking other up. Also, no sockets available on the beds, so staying on the upper beds was really terrible!
7.0 Good
Pros: The lobby/lounge area was quite nice! I didn't get to take advantage of it but I did like the setup with the tables and the option to get a drink.
Cons: The showers could be better - between the nozzles either not staying in the holder and one shower not getting hot enough (lukewarm mostly) I wasn't impressed. But, at least they worked.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Bus hostel is exactly a hostel at the bus stop. All tours arrive and leave from there. For me, as a solo traveler, it was the easiest place to stay. I loved the staff, all very kind. The accommodations also very clean and easy to access. Lots of people were talking about the kitchen on lasts review. The staff clean it everyday but the problem is with the guests and not with the hostel. People use the place and leave the dishes and table without clean it. The bus hostel is located very close to the city center.
Cons: The kitchen should be bigger or have 2.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was really close to anywhere in walking distance, and was super clean
Cons:
7.1 Good
Pros: It was my second time staying here this year because of the location and price. The tour buses pick up & drop off at the hostel which is in the main Reykjavík bus terminal.
Cons: You have to put the duvet cover yourself.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rest rooms very practical with toilette and shower together at the same room
Cons: The brds arr not comfy and very brittle, you always get the feeling that the bed will get broken at any moment
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful very nice could not have found a better spot!
Cons: It did rain a day or two but no trouble otherwise

Pros: 1. Great location. Walking distance to Laugavegur (shopping street), sea and eateries. 2.The staff at the reception was so friendly and helpful. She helped us by giving directions on where to find The Northern Lights in Reykyavik. Even though, we didn't witness any Northern lights, her help is much appreciative. We checked out at 12 pm but we were allowed to park our car at the hotel parking, for two more hours. Thanks to her again. She also helped with providing band-aid when we needed them.

Cons: 1. Less value for money. For the money we paid for the hotel, breakfast could've been provided. Because for lesser amount, we got rooms with free breakfast for other days in Reykyavik. 2. Old Hotel. Hotel rooms, heater and furniture looked old. 3. Paper cups were kept for making coffee. Could've been glassware.

Front desk staff, particularly Camilla, were exceptionally helpful when we needed to change an airport transfer, ask advice on restaurants, and store luggage.
Cons: The armoire took up a lot of floor space and we would have preferred a long bench to place luggage for a short stay. With a shower that gets the floor wet, some more hooks to hang clothing would be welcome.

Pros: The breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. It wasn't a bad walk to downtown Reykjavik (only 40-50 mins), and it has a beautiful view.
The beds were comfortable, and the rooms upstairs were cozy.
While there was only one shower/toilet per gender per floor, I only had to wait once to use the bathroom. Mostly, people were polite and did their business quickly. (It helps if you're showering in the evening, I suppose.)

Cons: The noise from the road is very loud, but if you're tired it doesn't matter.
The water from the faucet smelled like eggs (sulfur), but it was't terrible. The water pressure for the ladies' shower on the second floor was pretty bad, but I was still able to get clean.

Pros: This is a place to spend one night on a budget. It's fairly close to downtown/Hlemmur.
Cons: This place looks and feels old and neglected. I understand that for Iceland it's cheap, but this should mean no amenities, shared bathroom, etc. I also understand that you don't get fresh towel every day and that's OK. What I don't get are leaking showers, squeaking doors, dirty and torn sheets. This doesn't require nor extra money or a lot of time. I am fine with place like this not having 24h front desk (would be surprised if it did). I would have also really used a clear message before arrival that there are actually two separate houses of Reykjavik Hostel Village. Tired in the evening i wouldn't had to call every available number to find out that my room is not in the same house as front desk.
