Excellent 10.0
Pros: This guest house is in a perfect location. The host family is VERY hospitable and helpful!! The rooms are very modern, welcoming, there is free coffee, tea, cake and smoothies!!! The shared kitchen and living room is very nice. All sights are within easy reach and there is free parking.
Cons: All is perfect
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fresh Smoothie each morning!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great, quaint bed and breakfast with extremely helpful and kind owners. We would definitely stay again!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Staff was wonderful and extremely helpful!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Home from home with great facilities and location.
Cons: Nothing !
Excellent 9.6
Pros: I liked a lot of things at this establishment; the warm hospitality of this family-operated establishment, the free tea and coffee (Nespresso machine), the interior design of the place, the well-stocked bathroom (l'occitane products and leftover toiletries from other guests), the cleanliness of the place, free parking for our rental car, free smoothies, well-stocked kitchen with modern appliances, and the location.
Cons: This isn't a reflection of the guesthouse staff at all but I would have to say that the eggs I brought and left in the shared refrigerator in the kitchen were taken even though it was on the shelf for my room. My only suggestion to the staff is perhaps make bigger signs for the room numbers and also a bigger sign on the fridge door to warn other guests not to take items from other room assigned shelves.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Really good location easy to found due to famous rekjavik church near. Cosy and friendly. Kitchen and dinning room appreciated, host really kind and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast provided by external near neighbour did not offer enough choices.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great location with a perfect view to the church. The staff is super friendly and love to help. Free rental bikes are available. Breakfast at the corner cafe and the daily smoothies are simply fantastic. Free parking spots are easy to find around the house.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: A great comfortable place, with very warm and beautifully designed rooms. Great location, very nice kitchen, and we liked the small details and the extras such as the freshly prepared smoothies, a wide varaity of tea and a nespresso coffee machine etc. We loved staying there and would love to come back!
Cons: A bit expensive, but those are the prices in Iceland...
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ingo and his parents were amazing hosts, super friendly and helped us research or book various trips. Ingo is a former Cordon Bleu culniary school graduate and makes great healthy smoothies for all guests. We felt like we were staying in our own apartment. The free use of the Specialized bikes were a extra bonus. We put 19 miles on the bikes. We didn't want to leave and had it not been for Hurricane Dorian hitting our home in Florida we would have stayed longer.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Comfortable and clean - easy walk into town. No problem with parking. Owners are delightful and very helpful. Breakfast was very nice next door, plus delicious smoothies at the guesthouse.
Cons: .
Excellent 10.0
Pros: You can't beat the location. Newly renovation building, lots of street parking, shared kitchen and bathroom. Lot's of towels, toiletries very clean and modern. Kitchen is packed with an array of teas and coffees including a healthy smoothie made fresh daily. Great service and they offer a guide with places to go and things to do in the city. Which is short walk from the hotel. Breakfast is complimentary just next door beautiful cafe with seating an wifi you can actually get some work done.
Cons: I didn't like the fact I didn't choose to stay there my entire visit to Iceland, such a great central location.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Light and comfortable room in a beautiful building, good facilities and a great location in the centre of the city.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great hospitality. Brilliant breakfast. The days we went out early we were given a fantastic breakfast to take with us. Edda bakes the most fantastic bread which was fresh every day. Delicious porridge as well. We loved it. Huge selection for breakfast.
Cons: There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like .
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was above and beyond.. staff so friendly, accommodations charming.. like staying with family.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location and really nice staff. The people there even made me a lunch box to go since my flight was very early in the morning and I'd miss breakfast.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful hosts. Would highly recommend! Great location and fantastic guesthouse.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Edda was very helpful. We had encountered a problem with our tours and she helped us deal with them. The place was very homey and the breakfast was good. They made take away bags for us on days we had to take early tours. Location was very good as well Rooms and toilets were very clean. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to iceland.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The breakfast was good. Traditional Icelandic free breakfast. Nice warm bread.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Central location and convenient to all streets and sights
Cons: Self closing room doors close very hard. Some inconsiderate guests let the doors close behind them without controlling them and it makes a lot of noise.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Hosts very friendly and hospitable. Decent breakfast included.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: City center literaly across the street, nearby free parking, great home-made bread for breakfest, owners are great people as well :)
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The bread!!! The location
Cons: Breakfast was from 8-9 only, but many of the excursions we booked left at 8 so we couldn’t have breakfast. It would have been nice to have breakfast be 7-9, or at least 730-9.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly. Easy check-in and check-out. Didn't have time to stay for breakfast but they gave us a packed breakfast to take with us the night before.

Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great location, easy access to buses
Cons: No elevator was a bit inconvenient
Good 7.1
Pros: Hotel was ok however our room was very hot and couldn’t turn down heating. Breakfast was very basic. Nothing special. Location was great.
Cons: Very basic breakfast. Room too hot.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The room was nice and big. I liked the separate foyer and bathroom. The location was very good. Good proximity to the Lutheran church and the start of the shopping strip. The parking lot was very convenient and much appreciated.
Cons: No elevators to the third floor. Had to carry all the luggage up the stairs.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really liked the breakfast. The location was great close to restaurants and shops.
Cons: The shower was odd, the curtain kept moving while showering which made it a bit of challenge. A door would be better.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Receptionist are extremely friendly.
Cons: For the price I’m expecting my private bathroom.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The room was nice and bright with a little balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The beds were very comfortable. Outside the room there was a little kitchen with a fridge, a stove and a microwave and an eating table with 4 chairs around. Breakfast was included and OK. Only 10 min. walk from STI (with your suitcases!), and even less to the main street.
Cons: There is no elevator, mind that if you arrive from a week shopping in N.Y. ;)
Good 7.9
Pros: Location is great, close to all main attractions. Staff was friendly, breakfast was ok. More a hotel, than a guest house. There are kitchens available for use.
Cons: Nothing really bad, just overpriced, even for Iceland: it is just a basic room with a shared bathroom. I had nicer places for lower prices around Iceland
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very clean room, nice beds. Staff was really nice and helpful. The building is pretty big, but it was quiet nonetheless. The breakfast was really good and well served. Location is perfect! Hallgrímskirkja, Café Loki and the mains streets are a less than a minute away.
Cons: Parking is a bit tricky (there is a private parking but it's fairly small and it was always full). It doesn't feel like a guesthouse though, it's more like a good hotel, which is fine, but if you're into more intimate places where you can meet travellers and share a meal, look somewhere else.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The location is very practical, being no more than 10 minutes walk from the harbour area or the Harpa concert hall or the BSI bus station which is end point for airport shuttles and starting point for all Reykjavik Excursions tours, and it's opposite the Hallgrimskirkja and just round the corner from the main shopping streets with all their shops, bars and restaurants. The guest house itself is modern and well designed, with a fully-equipped kitchen also available to guests on each floor, shared by each small cluster of 3 rooms so guests can easily fully cater for themselves if they so choose. Breakfast is healthy and comprehensive (no hot food) with home made cinnamon bread! We found the staff helpful with comprehensive tourist information which they can support with advice and bookings if needed. Also for early leavers there is even an all-night "early breakfast" available.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Central location, exceptionally clean and spacious. Our room had balcony & overlooked Hallgrimskirkja. Modern. Cooking facilities if required, clean loos & shower. Really friendly & helpful staff
Cons: Only 1 toilet per 4 rooms, could have been problematic if rooms had been fully booked.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: We arrived late. Great hospitality! Karlotta has made arrangements so that we were looked after. It's a lovely room in their lovely home. Comfortable bed, love the 2 single blankets. She has thoughtfully put a microwave and kettle in the dining area so we could help ourselves to tea.
Cons: Location is in the suburbs. Reykjavik in general is expensive... Be prepared to pay for expensive taxi. We made a mistake by thinking we could easily walk to Go Camper to pick up car, but that was an approx 20 mins taxi away. If you already have rented a car from airport, this isn't an issue.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The home was comfortable and the owners very friendly and helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent location, well maintained home, extremely friendly and accommodating host. Would 100% stay here again!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Karlotta and Hugo were excellent hosts and both made us feel extremely welcome. They gave great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was also a highlight and helped us keep to our more strict budget. The place itself was very homely and having books in every room was lovely. Karlotta also kindly offered to change our bedding and towels – much appreciated after an evening at the Blue Lagoon!
Cons: The only thing I would say is that the property was quite expensive for the location. It was advertised as being in the city centre of Reykjavik, but it was a 25-minute walk. We didn't mind walking (and we did hire a car for two of the days) but would have been nice to be a little bit closer. Other than that, our stay was fantastic.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hosts were very nice and made us feel very comfortable.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very quiet very friendly. Needed to leave very early - was left breakfast self serve, made sandwiches which I ate later
Cons: Long walk into town
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Karlotta (the host) is so sweet and welcoming person! She is always ready to help. The breakfast is also a nice option! The house itself and the room are stylish, modern but with it's own history and unique things so you can feel yourself almost at home! Definetely wish to stay longer.
Cons: Not so close to city center, Laugavegur street - 20-25 minute walk. But that's all that may not be suittable for some people. For us it was okay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastically lovely hosts, cosy room, super breakfast

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfect vintage house
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Didn't have a chance to eat breakfast before we had to head to the airport. The coffee was delicious though! Nothing to dislike - the property and location were great!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic house over 100 years old! We stayed in the Library. Beds were so comfy and everything was spotless. Loved the cat and dog who came to say hello every time we came back into the house. The location of the house was superb. 5 mins walk from BSI bus terminal and 5 to 10 mins into the main part of town for the eateries. The staff at the guesthouse could not do enough for you. Highly recommend.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice, quiet residential street. Short walk to shopping area & tourist sights. Having a kitchen (with coffee pot, kettle, dishes, utensils, cooking pots, etc.) in our room was great, since eating out was so expensive. There were 9 of us in three apartments. All of our rooms had different lay-outs, and one of them had a large living room where we could all gather comfortably (Apt. 2) Very friendly, helpful innkeepers, also!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Jelly belly is an exceptional greeter and host. His fine white coat and sausage like tail are real crowd pleasers
Cons: The room was a little tight but that is a common North American complaint
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The property is very pretty and centrally located--just a few minute walk to a beautiful park where we watched the Northern Lights as well as the city center with tons of restaurants. Our room was bigger than we anticipated, with a full sized bath which was a pleasant surprise after spending a week in the countryside. There were plenty of extra pillows and bedding, which was also not the case at many of the other places we stayed at on our trip. Our host was very sweet, greeted me immediately, and walked me to my room. Check in was a total snap. There was a small kitchenette which was perfect for making a small meal and a nice big comfortable couch in the sitting area. The building is older, with all the quirks and charm that goes along with that.
Cons: We had to circle the block a few times to find parking, but it wasn't too bad. I'm sure it would have been a snap if you were familiar with the area. We did find close parking, it just took a few trips around. The front room had a bit of street noise and the planes from the local airport were surprisingly close and loud. This wasn't as bad in the bedroom area, and of course, you expect a bit of street noise in the city.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: the bed was really comfortable and the location of the hotel was excellent! Had to park on the street though.
Cons: The bathroom was a little old but everything worked. the kitchen table was a little small
Excellent 9.6
Pros: We had a huge room, 2 bathrooms, 2 tvs (not that we needed them), a big living room and really comfortable beds.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great location. Clean. Really fast Wi-Fi. Smart TV which gets connected to your mobile through Wi-Fi. Helpful staff.
Cons: Room size should have been bigger.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: No fuss, just go and enjoy. Loved being able to cook a bit since eating out is crazy expensive.
Cons: Parking spots are difficult sometimes. The water smelled of sulfur.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, warmth, coziness and your wonderful dog. I just would’ve like seeing him this morning so I could’ve given him a belly rub
Cons: Nothing or maybe a lesson in using the shower to avoid flooding the bathroom.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: In low price and in the middle of downtown! 5 minutes to the church! Staff is friendly and helpful!

Pros: The staff was friendly and very helpful by giving us a room on arrival early in the morning and then moving us to a suite
Cons: The location could be better
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location, the service at the reception, the restaurant.
Cons: The elevators can be upgraded
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good location. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice to have a convenient hotel with free parking. Removes the hassle of getting in and around town.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Quiet, good location, availability of parking, breakfast buffet included in stay, very pleasant staff, interesting art work, comfortable beds, great lobby.
Cons: Tiny bathroom, carpeting and some furniture are worn.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Location was easy walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: They say that they provide a hot breakfast, but I found that this really meant just buffet style eggs and bacon. Everything else was more of a continental breakfast style.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Quiet location, but 10 min walk to everything. Breakfast buffet (hot) included. Absolutely best staff attentive, accommodating, engaging. Houses one of the finer restaurants in the city plus a nice bar downstairs. Tea and coffee and mini bar in the room. Would absolutely stay again.
Cons: Single rooms on the top floor are drafty because of the balcony doors.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Room was clean, nice bathroom, nice and hot for drying out things as it rained all day. Breakfast was great and included. Good location between BSI bus terminal and the main shopping area about a 7 min walk. Staff are very helpful..!
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Location great and just a short walk to the main streets with shops and restaurants. Also easy location to drive in and out of the city for day-trips. The carpark was a large bonus and made life with a rental car very easy. The service and friendliness of the staff was very good and helpful.
Cons: Bathrooms were a little small.
Good 7.5

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Close to town and the smoky bay
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice place near small airport on outskirts of Reykjavik. Nice restaurant and free tea and coffee room spacious and clean.
Cons: All these extras ie pool you had to pay for. It would be nice if that were just available for guests.
Good 7.5
Pros: Everything
Okay 4.0
Cons: It was discribed as having a pool which was not accurate because you had to pay extra for that tried to stay one night and cancel the other nights were told couldn't do it with out paying full price, won't book through kayak again
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The bed was very comfy, good customer service
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Nice spa and pool
Cons: A bit out of town
Good 7.7
Pros: Spa was fantastic, breakfast was great but this was expected due to the price you pay.
Cons: Having a double bed which have two beds pushed together was uncomfortable and as a couple we like to be close when we sleep. On this occasion having two single duvets just made this uncomfortable. On check in they told us they were overbooked and that we should chose another of their hotels. The member of staff was rude and talking in Icelandic to other members of staff which made us uncomfortable. We ended up with a room upgrade because of the situation however this is not what we needed after a long day travelling.
Okay 4.6
Pros: Facilities are not for everyone’s free use so that was very disappointing. I believe it used to be years ago. The rooms are a bit tired now. Good comfy bed but had to have window open and unfortunately no one at the desk seems to monitor other guests who are loud outside at smoking area through the night. Staff also let me down when I asked for simple necessities. It took me 3 times asking to get more tissue - Not impressed and will not come back again. You lost long term customer. Oh and this trip the paths were blocked a bit by all kinds of flats being built everywhere. The location is great and great espresso in lobby for free.
Cons: The staff attitude and facilities let me down.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: They have provided a free coffee machine at the reception and they have a small shop where you can buy necessary items
Good 7.9
Pros: Handy walk into city centre. 20/25 minutes.Quiet location.
Cons: All good
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We did not make the breakfast as our flight was too early.
Cons: The breakfast bag for early flights could be better and healthier e.g. could have included a fresh fruit pack and a natural skyr yoghurt.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was the best place that we have stayed in Iceland. The appartement was really clean and the view incredible. Unfortunately we stayed only one night. I hope to go again to this amazing place....

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The kitchen was fully stocked and the room was cozy and comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We were able to check in early and take a nap after our overnight flight, which was great. Parking was no problem and the location is walking distance to most things you want to see in Reykjavik.
Cons: The room was a bit small if you have big bags, but otherwise it was great.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Close to city center.
Cons: Kitchen was not so clean.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Location was perfect, 15 minutes from the centre and 20 minutes from the ocean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and the kitchen was well-equipped. Everything was handled professionally. It was easy to navigate to the apartment with the helpful notifications they sent me before I got there.
Cons: The window of my room looked to the street, which did not bother me for this limited time i stayed there (1 week), but would've been a little less comfortable for longer period. It is of course possible to roll down the blinds, but then you have to use lamps all the time.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Clean, affordable and close to the centre.
Cons: Walls are thin, so a bit noisy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice little place! The guy who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: It was nice to meet the other guests.
Cons: The doors close loudly, and a lot of people were using them.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Good location, close to city center and with many free parking options nearby. Check in and checkout was smooth. Good and tidy kitchen and facilities
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Well-run Very good staff clean and good value and location for a stay in a very nice but expensive city
Good 7.1
Pros: Score comes out somewhat low when I fill in the different aspects of the accommodation by the letter. I stayed just a couple of days but I was really 8- happy with my stay. Perhaps it is a bit unconventional here and it does not fit the general bill. It is generally clean, easy come and easy go, well located and has an informal youth hostel like charm but without the chaos. The bus terminal is conveniently nearby although the building site of the hospital in between, is puzzling. Igdlo has kindly updated directions every time though. Nice. Did not expect a tv here, could not get the regular TV channels to work but apps and netflix were good. Also liked the painting in my room!
Cons: Sleeping quality depends a lot on the other boarders as contact noise is easily heard and the electronic doorlocks beep loud. You could leave you room open if you are just popping out to the bathroom? Mind you that my room was next to the shared bathroom. Some of the facilities are a bit tired like the shared shower surroundings which is also a bit hard to keep dry (curtain). Small details but in general it all works. I never really met any management on location as I was out most of the time but there are notes everywhere to help you out. Scavenger hunt :-)
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Igdlo Guesthouse is perfect for travellers! Good location, cosy and clean. The shared bathroom was always clean!! Kitchen is very well equipped, we loved it. You have opportunity to make a coffe or a hot tea for free anytime. Our room was basic, but optimal for travellers. Hosts were really flexible, it was easy to get in after the check in hours, because we received every detail in advance. I recommend it for everyone! : )

Pros: The hostel is in walking distance from the domestic airport and is located with the bus station that goes to the international airport, which is great when you have an early morning flight. It is not located within the busy and crowded portions of Reykjavik
Cons: The kitchen area was too small. There was a lot of dust and dirt on the floor under the beds that got on any gear that was stored under them during the stay.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: It’s situated at Airport Direct bus garage, so it’s easy to access from/ to KEF airport early morning or midnight.
Cons: Very busy bathrooms in the morning.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The ambient, fast chk in & out and the cleanliness of the dorm & the toilets.

Pros: Excellent location Good breakfast

Good 7.5
Pros: Have Kitchen.
Cons: We should walk around hotel about 2min. If have rain is so trouble.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Staff were friendly, breakfast was well stocked with good choice and room was very clean. Guesthouse is in an excellent location for main sights of Reykjavík
Cons: Pillows were not comfy at all and the room could have had blackout blinds/been darker, particularly as room faced on to the main road. Also would be better if towels were available in room
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was clean comfortable small room in downtown Reykjavik. They have a very efficient check in process. The breaksfast was great. It is a very convenient location close to all of the main pedestrian areas.
Cons: The breakfast room was crowded, but everyone was able to get food and eat. An extra towel / bathmat for the shower could have been nice. I used my towel to dry the floor since I was just staying one night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: location was wonderful, and easy to explane when you are lost because there was a pizza restaurant near by. Also, it was one block away from the famous church. Breakfast was wonderful. couldn't stop eating the bread they provided.
Cons: it maybe difficult to use the restroom, since the building i stayed was a modified house, which had only one bathroom( just one) on the floor with three bed room.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: - Good doors, quiet room - We had a shared bathroom but there was also small sink in the room - Priceworthy
Cons: - Had some bad luck with a false fire alarm that went off a couple of times late in the evening - Vegetables had run out for the morning breakfast
Good 7.9
Pros: Hosts were flexible enough to allow us giving us breakfast before 6am as we needed to be very early at the airport.
Cons: Bath/shower on the first floor felt a bit humid, needed more ventilation perhaps.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: They allowed me to store my luggage until time to go to the airport. Breakfast was satisfactory and located in a light airy room. Manager was very helpful.
Cons: Would have liked a kettle in my room.
Good 7.5
Pros: it's fine in total.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great location, plentiful breakfast. Comfortable room.
Cons: Shared bathroom, but I was aware when I booked Guesthouse.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: A nice guesthouse right in the middle of Reykjavík.
Cons: Finding a parking spot had been a bit of an adventure as the streets were lined with cars...
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Great location, comfortable bed and nice breakfast.
Cons: Nobody tells you how many bathrooms are in the houses. We were sharing a bathroom with three other rooms, only to find out in the last day that behind an unmarked door there was another bathroom and a room.

Excellent 9.2
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, and the host was very friendly. We had a nice breakfast with really good coffee. We overall enjoyed our stay and it was a very good value for the money.
Cons: Shared bathroom was a little bit inconvenient but was ok for the affordable room we stayed in.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Small, cosy family hotel with family atmosphere. Very good fresh breakfast. Only 10-15 minutes walk to city centre. Everything was perfect.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Cute little hostel about 10 minutes away from Raykjaviks main shopping street. Easy to walk to city centrum. Very clean, good breakfast, very friendly staff and nice, cozy and homelike athmosphere. Very peacefull. The own wash-basin in the room was very good thing, when you have sheared toilets and bathrooms. Change to get small packed lunch with you. Very lovely place afterall and good specially couples and solo travellers.
Cons: The room fealed little cold at the first day, but that wasn’t problem for me. Propably there was a thermostat what can use if needed.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Goid size room. Good breakfast. The host is very accomdating. Perfect location. Its 4 minutes walk to the terminal
Cons: No tv in the room. Weak wife downstairs
Good 6.7
Pros: This house was awarded in 2015 - I could read it on the entrance door. Entering the house I was sure that this award was the last they won ... There are no seriously bad conditions, but it is not well maintained and it hadn't got a good air. This was my last night in Iceland and I spent only a few hours with sleep in the guesthouse, but I didn't like it at all. The Wifi worked well.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was great, they gave us french pressed coffee (in our very own french press!) and, for tea lovers, they would give an individual pot. I am a hiker, and we were heading for a day trip, so the packed lunch option (for about 11USD to two sandwiches, fruit and juice box) was such a treat! They even try to accommodate allergies. I really wish we spent more nights here, it was great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Amazing staff, very nice talks. The breakfast is super nice, best bread I ate in Iceland. :) The location is perfect, short, even stroller friendly walk to the center (but it is not right in the center, maybe 15 minutes walk). We were there with our 11 month old baby and everything was perfect. I can only recommend this place!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: 15 minute walk to downtown Reykjavík. Price of room includes parking and breakfast with homemade bread and delicious coffee. Beds were super comfortable and the shared bathroom was always available.
Cons: Nothing.
Good 7.9
Pros: Very good value for money There is a walk to town but not overly long and closer to the entertainment precinct near the church Lovely host Everything you need from breakfast Nothing fancy but a great place to stay
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean property, walking distance to downtown, excellent host and good breakfast.
Good 7.7
Pros: Basic accommodations, but the room was comfortable, quiet, and dark at night. The breakfast was excellent.

Excellent 8.8
Pros: - comfortable check in and check out, - precise information from the hosts and very good contact (super kind and helpful!), - perfect location, - free parking on the street, - pleasant design and good facilities
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very pretty and comfortable room, great kitchen facilities with spaces for each room to put their food. Easy self check in/out and central location.
Cons: Was quite hard to find parking near the property so be aware that there is no guaranteed parking nearby. We liked the bathroom but it’s worth noting that there is only one toilet/shower per floor.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great location. Everything was clean. Easy to find.
Cons: In the morning was long time to wait for shower and wc, they are in the same room, so if someone is in shower you cannot use wc.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was really friendly and helpful! They answered my questions very quickly and were always so nice. The guesthouse is located near the city center and the bus station, which makes your stay even more convenient. I liked the fact that the guests were allowed to use a big kitchen, which was well equipped. If I ever come back to Reykjavík, I will definitely stay there again.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very happy with location, facilities, check in and check out. Nice staff.
Cons: Maybe if you book a 3 bed room even if you travel solo, it would be nice if they still made up all 3 beds - instead of just one... But this is only a slight issue.
Good 7.1
Pros: Very good location
Cons: Bathroom was not very clean and one bathroom for three rooms is not enough, especially when the toilet is in the same room as the shower. The light in our room was broken.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, very basic but cheerful rooms, perfect for budget traveller
Cons: Not soundproof
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfect room and location
Excellent 9.2
Pros: This was basic accomodation with delightful individual touches such as the wonderfully comfortable chair in our room, hand painted pictures around the place, clever painting colours.
Cons: The stairs
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good location, clean

Okay 5.0
Pros: I liked the location very much. I was easy to acces to the main area of the city
Cons: Is old, there is nothing in the room. No kettle. Is very old facilities. The bathroom will be full of water after showering. The breakfast was very poor , not even eggs or tomatoes.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff was warm and friendly. The room was really comfortable
Cons: The sulphur shower smell.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Breakfast was quite good. In the newer of the two buildings, at least two rooms on each floor have a perfect view. The beds are really comfortable (although firm, which is my preference).
Good 7.9
Pros: The bar and breakfast area was good. Lovely cocktails and the staff were friendly. The location was perfect and easy to get around the area. Parking was easy to find next to the church.
Cons: The room was extremely small. The shower was not great as it had no cubicle to stand in and just the curtain. There was construction on the first day we arrived which was loud and disruptive... after an early morning flight we just wanted to to sleep.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Loved the decor! The bar and breakfast were especially nice! And all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Super location as well, we could easily walk everywhere. The beds were also super comfy.
Cons: Bathroom was a little small (I’m very tall) so was a little hard to shower, but still manageable.
Good 7.1
Pros: Walking distance to the main strip, restaurants, shopping, night life. Staff was very friendly. Cute lobby/lounge area.
Cons: Room was tiny!! Very outdated. Bathroom smelled strongly of urine. Wasn't horrible, 3 star hotel. Wouldn't stay more than a night or 2
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great location right opposite the church with restaurants and shops in the street around the corner. Across the road from a bus stop used by tour operators. Good breakfast. Would stay there again.
Cons: We had the corner room on the top floor which had limited headroom due to the slanted roof. Bathroom was a little small, but clean.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location, breakfasts
Cons: No elevator, trash container
Okay 4.5
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Crummy bathroom with no place or room for anything. Sulfurous stench water (not filtered as is needed in Reykjavik water system). Noisy smoker area outside tenant windows that kept me awake until four thirty am then restarted at six am). Paper thin walls. Dirty carpets. Just a dump that’s milking tourists.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Perfect location! Leifur was literally looking right into our window.
Cons: Rooms very small, it was challenging to navigate around the bed with luggage, etc., and the shower/sink/toilet was a single "wet room". But it wasn't a terrible, just not what we expected. Also, because the window was looking over Liefur and Hallgrimskirkja, the crowd noise was noticeable until 9-10pm with the window open. Crowds also start showing up by 7-8am and again, noise. This was not a problem for us, but if you go to sleep early, or like to sleep in late just a warning, if you are sensitive to noise.
Good 6.3
Pros: Friendly and helpful daytime receptionist. Location was terrific.
Cons: Evening receptionist was not so great or helpful. Breakfast was limited. No options for diet restrictions. Shower was extremely small and water spilled all over the floor.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The hotel is in a great location, opposite the Hallgrimskirkje. Very clean with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is fine, nothing special . This obviously isn’t a luxury hotel, but good for the price given the general cost of accommodation and food in Reykjavik.
