Lisbon hotels near Museu Calouste Gulbenkian

Pros: The bed was huge, 2 doubles together but they never came apart. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of it, my Wife and her Father are from Brasil and when i told them all the food was included they just kept eating plate after plate, juices & Coffee too.

Cons: The view, didnt have any, for €139 B&B per nighti was hoping to see something, instead all we cud see from the 7th floor was the inside walls and the elevator shaft.

Pros: Spacious rooms. Nice amenities. For me, beds were hard. Staff did try to remedy, but I ended up sleeping on the fold out chair, as mattress was more to my liking. Otherwise the hotel is very nice, as is the staff.

Pros: The hotel is a modern appearing hotel and is bright and very clean. Our room was large with high ceilings. The bathroom was very clean with a great shower and bath. Beds were very comfortable. All the staff were especially very helpful, multilingual, and professional. The restaurant had an excellent breakfast buffet 14€ and dinner buffet 19€. An à la carte menu is available for dinner. There are lots of restaurants around the area that felt safe. Access to Metro is minutes away by walking and walking into the centre is possible in about 30 minutes. It was a great way to start our holiday in Portugal.

Pros: I would only stay there for a day which I did and not for pleasure. It reminded me of am airport hotel.

Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly and we got upgraded to club suite as they knew it was our anniversary. We also got champagne and a cake in our room which we really appreciated. Fantastic service and we told everyone about this!

Cons: The fake flowers in the bathroom were dusty.

Pros: All the amenities and the cleanliness of the room. Great TV. The beds were comfortable and warm.

Pros: Respectful employees, wonderful service, communicated in my native language and Spanish (which I appreciate), staff in the breakfast buffet were always attentive and made me feel special at all times.

Cons: There was nothing I did not like about this hotel. On the contrary, if I visit Lisbon in the future, I want to book in this hotel.

Pros: useful help at reception desk (parking) and general information about Lisboa, they speak fluently english there was no major or minor probler, just cold water at the piscine on the roof :-)

Pros: Property was clean and beautifully presented, staff were helpful and friendly. Literally opposite entrance to metro. Nice rooftop pool area.

Cons: No lunch or dinner options. No room service. Pool was very cold.

Pros: The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The metro station is just outside the door.

Cons: 1 staff member wasn’t welcoming at all. The same 2 men were at reception during the day on weekdays. The main receptionist was rude and obnoxious, didn’t make an effort. The other guy was nice and friendly. We checked out on Sunday and there were 2 new receptionists and they were a significant improvement on the weekday staff. They were welcoming and polite.

Pros: Such a nice stay. The place is beautiful and precious, as well as the room. Well designed, and so gorgeous! The breakfast is delicious and you have a large selection of choice depending of what you prefer. Thank you, I will come back.

Cons: The staff wasn't this nice, either at reception, or room service, or at breakfast. Just a big thank you to a girl with the glasses, who was extra nice, and this made everything. Thank you.

Pros: The decoration is very modern, swimming pool and jacuzzi are very clean and staff very nice and helpful!!!

Pros: the breakfast was great, the beds were very comfortable, the infinity pool was also really nice and was warm and we could use it in November, the staffs were super friendly and helpful, the location is close to the city center but a bit far from bus station or metro, everything was super clean, the design was quite minimal and modern, there was one free water in the fridge per person, which was also thoughtful.

Cons: As I said the hotel design was minimal, which was nice but some items were missing in regards too minimality. For example there was no toilet brush, or appropriate hangers when you wanted to take a shower, but these are really small details, which you can deny...

Pros: Great breakfast! The staffs at reception were very kind and helpful. Location is good, close to Maques de Pombal station and to bus stops. Oh, the swimming pool is incredible :)

Cons: The breakfast manager is a very rude and bad tempered lady. I stayed at the hotel for 5 days and there were not even one that she would be nice to the guests. All the other waiters, waiteress and host were extremely kind though. The shower room cleaness also needs to be improved a bit!

Pros: The room was lovely and modern. The bed/bedding very comfortable. Service, in the main floor bar, although not very speedy was respectful. Breakfast was good. Front desk was very helpful with directions and dining suggestions.

Cons: I arrived without the original credit card the room was booked under, which turned into a BIG thing, so probably ended up paying twice, but OK. The bathroom setup is a bit weird, and not very private. The hotel is definitely not located near the downtown area. We walked about 1/2 hr but were only about halfway there before we turned back - too tired after a night flight to make the full trek.

Cons: One bed for 3 people. Never I’m all the hotel I have stay in this has happened. If I booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child I would expect 2 beds. I had to sleep with my partner and my little brother

Pros: The lobby was nice and decorated for Halloween. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

Cons: -There were faulty lights in the corridor to my room (216) when were flickering on/off like a scene from a low budget horror movie. -There was rubbish in the corridor from other rooms on way to my room. -The air conditioning unit sounded like a small car engine (it was thankful it was only 20oC and didn't need it). -The sink in the bathroom was drainage was blocked. -The decor was awfully outdated especially in the bathroom. It reminded me of the teacher in Harry Potter movies towards the end who liked the colour pink :S. The shower curtain was certainly reaching the end of it's useful life. -Very disappointing experience, happy to speak to a member of the Marriott team to discuss my points above.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff!

Pros: Marriott provide a reliable uniform approach to accomodation, pretty much each Marriott is somewhat of a carbon copy of the next, the two variants are location and age of the property. The Lisbon Marriott is nearing he time when facilities including rooms need to be upgraded and renewed. Its comfortable and clean so full marks for this.

Cons: The rooms were bordering on being a bit tired, the bathrooms always a good judge bench mark of this. Other then that its a busy hotel that is close to the airport and predictably Marriott, which isn't so bad.

Pros: the restaurant was very good with a buffet of hot or cold food available and very reasonably priced

Pros: Breakfast offerings were very good. Made to order egg dishes or omelettes were a bonus.

Cons: Late evening servicing of rooms meant wet towels when wanting to shower before dinner.

Pros: We did not stay for breakfast after hearing it would cost us 38 euros.

Cons: We were told we could upgrade our room, get breakfast in the morning and something to eat (we arrived at check in a little past 20:00) until midnight in the Executive Lounge for an additional 50 euros. Considering that breakfast was nearly 80% of the upcharge, we agreed to do it. Then when we went into the Executive lounge looking for a light meal, we were offered dry fruit or potato chips because all the hot foods provided for "happy hour" stopped at 19:30. My husband and I were incensed that the desk clerk had to know the food he was supposedly offering us would no longer be available. Also, when I booked back in February, I specifically asked about a shuttle service to the airport. I never got the information that shuttles were no longer offered at this facility. The desk clerk who checked us in did not greet us when we came in, and responded to our "Good evening" with a request for our passports. The prices of the supper meal we ended up eating in the restaurant had prices that did not include the taxes -- so what I thought would be a 50 euro meal, turned out to be 77 (service wasn't included either). I felt there was an awful lot of bait/switch tactics in practice in a Marriott which is normally a much higher caliber of service hotelier. I would never go back there again!

Pros: The Location, very close to the International Airport. The staff is very, very profissional ( even the trainees) and they speak different languages, 5 stars staff. The view from the bedroom was also amazing and the Hotel has wonderfull installations for meetings and congress. The bar very nice and the buffet, sublime.

Cons: I should have staid longer but that was my fault.
