Pros: We stayed here several years ago and were not disappointed with our return. The Hotel retains it's old fashioned charm and elegance and the staff were more than friendly and courteous.

Pros: The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. Myself and mum really enjoyed it. The location was perfect. We were just across from the beach and not far from the bandstand or pier which we visited everyday!

Breakfast is ok ..i hope hotel make programs/ activities bec we want to stay at the hotel but got bored bec no activity..maybe be afternoon zumba, dancing, karaoke, bingo , arts and crafts ..bec we got the half board and beautuful hotel, it will be nice if we just enjoy and make use of it..

Pros: I have stayed at the Grand a number of time over the past 15+ years and have always found the service, food and accommodation to be of a very high standard. Hence my continued return visits.

Pros: I cannot commend the staff enough as they were polite, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Now we had to pay a little extra for the sea view as you would expect, but the room had a panoramic view and was was well worth it. It was a very good size and the large bed was extremely comfortable. I will certainly be back and would rate The Grand higher that the "luxury" 5 star hotels in the big cities.

Pros: Arrived to a very upset daughter as the lady staff member appeared to do everything in her power to make my daughter and her family’s stay as difficult as possible. No duvet on singe bed in family room and shower extremely hot, would not turn to colder. No second key as requested and needed for our room. Breakfast lovely but very small and daughters request of a double portion ignored. I travel to Eastbourne multiple times a year to visit family, will never stay here again

Pros: The lady checking us in was very friendly and recommended a fantastic restaurant which she booked for us for the first night. The location is good (less than a 30 second walk to the beach). All of our group found the beds comfy. There was a good selection of tea/coffee and biscuits in the rooms with bottled water.

Pros: Worst hotel I have ever ever stayed at. Avoid avoid avoid. The only redeeming part of our stay was the trainee, he was helpful and friendly. The lady was horrible to deal with and had me in tears the day before we arrived. I rang to ask if it was possible to have my mothers room close to mine as she was babysitting. With this I was told that the family room was only booked for 2people. I explained that originally we had a different room and when we decided to bring our daughter we were told we had to book a family room. (We were told at the time this was for health and safety reasons and that they couldn’t put a cot in the room. The family room was almost double the price (£95 more). I felt this was purely for money as a cot for a 3month old does not take up much space but understood). So told her that we are bringing our daughter, the lady kept speaking over me and saying it wasn’t her issue it was booking.com fault as she only had 2 adults booked in. I was trying to sort it but she would just keep talking over me and stating if you look in the terms and conditions. Finally got it resolved that we just had to add our daughters name when we got there and no extra charge as she is only 3months. Asked about the cot (which I had already checked when I change the original booking) and she said a cot cannot but put in the room, again stating Heath and safety/terms and conditions. She stated there was a single bed in the room. I told her my daughter was 3months old and could not stay in a single bed so what can we do, she told me it’s up to you. I got off the phone and burst into tears as instead of trying to help and find a resolution to the problem she was making it more difficult. She ruined the start of our holiday and I spent the whole time until we arrived stressing that we might get down there and have nowhere to stay. Then when we got there they got us a cot no issues!! Pros: Very unhelpful staff, issues with everything we requested. Issue with parking permits and no help or compromise considering we were going to a wedding and could not put a ticket on the car at 11 (said the permits weren’t delivered yet but knew from the day before they had 2 left). Then asked to use the iron that morning as my partner needed to leave early as he was best man at the wedding but we were told the iron could only be used after breakfast, what a ridiculous thing. One side of the bed comfortable but my partners side was all springy. Would never stay there again and would advise others not to either.

Pros: This a great hotel for its price. Despite its location directly on the promenade, the room was quiet and clean. The staff went out of their way to accomodate my needs. This is a lovely and welcoming hotel for the price, and I would happily stay here again in the future. Everything is very functional, including full black out blinds, extra pillows and an oscilatting fan in the wardrobe, and high speed internet/TV.

Pros: Room was a good size, beds comfy and good amount of storage space. Tea/coffee facilities in the room, plus already had a hairdryer, fan and ironing board without having to ask for them. Friendly reception staff, hotel looked welcoming as we arrived. Breakfast was great, with a good variety and choice.

Pros: Parking was a bit of a problem but good access to the beach front..The pub meal just across the road was very good and well priced..Breakfast was good and staff helpful.

Pros: The first member of staff to great us was lovely, young guy with short, light coloured hair, think he was local. Very friendly and helpful, excellent. We were given a room away from main part on third floor as the place was packed with very loud international students, so our room was quieter. Had breakfast twice the staff cooked us vegetarian sausages to order. Plenty of food, pastries, toast, fruit, yoghurt, cooked items for English breakfast. Lady who cleaned our room was very polite. Parking permit was given to us for £1 a day, just put it on each evening to cover next day, worked well. You just have to find a space on the seafront as close as you can.

Pros: It is directly at the shore. You literally only cross the street in front of the hotel to reach the beach.

Pros: I thought the breakfast was good value for money. The location was very good and I had booked a room with a sea view which was lovely. The bedroom was a good size with plenty of room to move around once the sofa bed which had been made up was folded up. This was dealt with very promptly once I had been down to reception. It was a nice light and airy room.
