Convenient location near the seafront. It met our basic requirements for a short stay.
It was a typical 1950-ish holiday hotel that did not seem to have caught up with the times. Breakfast was not included: we already had to upgrade to get a double bed so were not going to pay extra for breakfast, which we could get at a very good restaurant close by. No shower gel or shampoo were provided, only a tablet of soap. Generally a mediocre facility. Finding a parking space close to the hotel was a nightmare.
The location was excellent close to the station, beach and shops. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was large with two nice comfortable armchairs, no need to sit on the bed to watch t.v.
Only one small disappointment was my husbands scrambled eggs on toast on the second day. The eggs were tasteless and the toast underdone. The previous day he had the full English which was very good, so he repeated that on day 3.
Room was tired
Location excellent. quiet surroundings. Staff friendly and polite and helpful. Facilities good value for money. Room and bathroom clean. View of sea from bedroom window
Odd smell of cleaning fluid in the room when we first entered. earlier stat to breakfast although staff were happy to try to get us in a bit early....Thank you!
