Cons: Parking was a bit confusing.. they offer only valet but there's a parking garage under the building that is owned by a third party, but was way cheaper for our stay.

Pros: From the moment we walked into the lobby, we knew we had picked the right place. Everything about the hotel is intended to insure the comfort and experience for their guests. From the old key and hassle room key to the Victorian period furnishings to the Cruise Room bar, you feel like you are part of another time. The staff was fantastic, the service was 5 star and the custom cocktails and history lesons in the Cruise Room were fantastic. Best location in Downtown. Perfect for first time Denver visitors or anyone looking for the perfect weekend getaway.

Cons: The bed was too high and too firm for my taste and the only chair in the room was not comfortable. It is a hard balance to use period furnishings and keep them comfortable to today's standards I'm sure.

Cons: TV did not work. After 6 minutes on hold for Front Desk, I went back down and asked for engineering to fix. Had dinner at Ship Tavern (Frank was great; 58 years at the Brown!) instead of room service so I could watch the World Series. Checked back at the Front Desk before going back up and was assured TV was working - it was not. Another interminable hold, another trip back down, another visit from engineering. Finally got to watch the game. Took six minutes for "hot" water to show up (Room 631) for a shower in the morning. Now I understand why the Brown was the lowest price room near downtown last night (less than the Holiday Inn Express). PS - I am a member of the Churchill cigar club.

Cons: The ceiling fan didn't work without a horrible squeal, the lights on the bed were out. The alarm clock was blinking and requested to have reset. The bathroom wasn't very clean, nor carpet. There was a pill on the floor, plastic pieces from a mans dress shirt on the carpet and other pieces of lint, etc., you could tell the carpet had not been vacuumed properly. Outside our room was the housekeeping closet, which the door had been left open many times during the day and evening, glasses in hallway not picked up, carpet in front of our room and hallway to elevator was never cleaned in the three nights we were there and housekeeping was very loud on Sunday morning in hallway.

Cons: Disappointed in heat not working in room. Staff did move us to a different room which light would flicker when heat came on and blew a fuse by using the hotel provided blow dryer. Front desk clerk that checked us out was not friendly at all, didn’t ask how stay was or make any conversation.

Pros: Room was nice and staff were nice, but didn’t do anything. Never cleaned our room (4 day stay). Had to go and get toilet paper and tissues after calling front desk. More than half of the light bulbs were burned out in room (never replaced as housekeeping never showed). This was the same with our friend’s rooms as well. 5 couples, five rooms and four of us all had similar issues. In addition, huge 17-18 floor hotel and half of the elevators were down for maintenance - the entire stay. Waited for 20 minutes or more to find enough room on an elevator for more than 2 people every time / everyday of our stay. We eventually started taking the stairs, but 14 flights of stairs a few times a day was a little much. It was more annoying than anything. All in all it was a nice stay.

Cons: Breakfast was amazing and hotel location was great. Denver is a friendly city and has a lively downtown area. With its public transportation it’s feels more European than North American.

Cons: We chose the Westin for the pool. We were supposed the check in at 4p, but they weren’t able to get us into our room until nearly 6p. That was only after I went to the counter at 530p & demanded a room. They offered us a downgraded room that was ready immediately & when I declined, they were able to get us into a room that we paid for. We had evening plans, so the pool was out. We could have stayed in a comparable hotel with no pool for less money. Very disappointed.

I called early that morning and was able to get an earlier check in even thought the hotel was booked to capacity. Parking was fabulous and cheaper if you parked yourself and not valet (but in the same garage). I will most definitely stay here again.

Cons: Guest services really dropped the ball. We needed toothpaste and contact solution and they offer it free. We called guest services 3 times with assurance that they’d bring it right up. Ended up going to the front counter, only to get just toothpaste. Contact solution would “be sent up immediately”. Never came, and we ended up stocking up on supplies at the 7-11 next door. In addition, the shower pressure was terrible, which is unusual at hotels in my experience. Other than that it was a nice stay! For the price I paid though, I probably won’t be staying here again right away. It’s not a bad hotel by any means, it’s just pricey and I expect more for $175 a night.

Cons: The street noise was extremely loud in the room, even in the middle of the night. Also, we could hear guests in the next room talking as if they were in our room.

Pros: The location is good...close to restaurants and shopping. The lobby has a nice feel to it and the valet parking/garage is very close. $38.00 a night for parking.
Cons: The room just felt tired. I feel like the photos were not representative of the property on the whole. If you are staying in higher tier level rooms...I am sure the experience would be better.

Cons: My room was dirty. Filthy bedroom walls and shower walls were moldy. Pretty sure there was a dried booger on the wall in the bathroom. The baseboards were cover in scuff mark and a layer of dust in bedroom and bathroom. There was no mini fridge.

Cons: Front desk was rude when I checked in @3am [after work]. They have me attitude, talked down to me, and were visually upset. The only reason I got a room is because I prepaid. I had no idea I was suppose to call if I didn't check in @4
