Claimed there were no vehicles available to us despite us having a booking confirmation and there being vehicles in the lot. Evidently over booked them selves. We ended up missing a large portion of our planned trip and lost all the associated costs with that as we were not able to find suitable alternative.Reviewed 25 Sept 2026

At first you didn’t have a Camry we reserved and were going to get a rouge(yuk). Buy a Camry came available thanks to the agent looking for one while we were still at the counter. Now we were very happyReviewed 28 May 2026

The Avis system was down and we were unable to pick up our rental. The Avis airport staff were not helpful. We had to call Avis ourselves to cancel the rental. We were charged the full price and then refunded only a portion of the fees. They owe us $100. We’ve not been able to get a complete refund as the Avis telephone team couldn’t locate our reservation to help! Absolutely the poorest customer service in the airport and with their telephone and chat teams.Reviewed 19 Mar 2026

My experience with Avis was horrible. There was a deposit policy that wasn’t clearly stated and the money couldn’t be split between 2 credit cards. They didn’t accept cash or debit cards, making my reservation obsolete. When I asked the clerk if there was anything I could do, he seemed to take a little pleasure in telling me there was nothing he could do. Instead of being stranded in Nashville with an Avis reservation I couldn’t redeem, I went across to Enterprise and rented a nice vehicle through them with no deposit on the spot. I would never rent through Avis because there are too many strict rental restrictions that make a recreational traveler inconvenienced.Reviewed 2 Dec 2025

The online reservation process seemed easy, and confirmed I could pick up a car at a downtown Nashville location. But at that location, I was told I'd have to pick up a car at the airport - a time-wasting hassle. There, they couldn't honor my reserved car, requiring a new reservation for ~$50 more. Directions from the airport desk to the pick-up location were confusing. Then, canceling my first reservation was another confusing, time-wasting hassle requiring several calls. Once I finally got to it, the car itself was fine and my drive went smoothly - just a little more tired...Reviewed 10 Mar 2025
