Drop off was easy. Pick up was a long affair that involved a slow network/downed computers, having to scan my license three times before it worked, and then waiting 20 minutes in line to leave the rental car area because only 1 of 6 lanes was open and staffed.

On pick up, they gave us a choice of 3 mustang convertibles “upgrade” because our 4 door std was gone . The agent tried blowing smoke up our butts. Traded it in next day. Drop of was easy but agent was unable to print a receipt . Said they would email it. Haven’t seen it yet so don’t know if charges were correct. Not impressed.

Pickup staff were great and I appreciated the vehicle they offered me!Vehicle had trash in it, which is extra concerning during COVID and I was left feeling very unconfident that it had been cleaned/disinfected per protocol. Changing details regarding dropoff once I already had the car was a *nightmare* with Enterprise customer service.

I made a reservation over the phone for a one-way rental. Got a confirmation number, was dropped off at the Nashville airport to pick up the car. Guy at counter said, "we don't do one-way rentals." I showed him my confirmation number. He said, "well we don't do one ways!"

They were ready for us. Realized our vehicle's AC was broken and had replacement vehicle in moments. Since we had an unusual vehicle this was not a given. The staff was great and there were no up charges.

Note: At the Nashville Airport, the check in is in the parking structure, not at the desks in the terminal. I checked in at Enterprise because the Alamo desk was closed, it was just before 7am, so not surprised. But was quick and easy. Less than 10 minutes and I was in my way. I had my choice of 4 cars. Picked one, a Nissan Rogue, that was a bit dirty, but was my choice. Price was amazing from what I have seen in the past. Return process was easy as well. Pulled up and attendant came and checked my our. 5 minutes and I was walking to terminal. Now, it was the Saturday before Labor Day, so the quickness may not be normal as the airport was pretty quiet.

No one working desks in the Nashville airport. Directed customers to outside garage - 100 degrees plus. They said computers were down. 8-10 people in line. 20-30 minutes per transaction. 2 hour line. Billed twice for rental because they didn't have reservation on file. Still need to straighten it out.

I booked a luxury car simply because it was the lowest rate, but the pick-up location at the Nashville airport didn't have any of those, so I was given a mid-sized car. This car was so scratched and dented and drove rough like it needed an alignment on it, and it also have over 50K miles on it. I asked the agent if I would be charged less since they didn't have the class of car I booked, and he said that the rate for a mid-sized that day would be astronomical and above my current rate; that logic doesn't make sense to me, as I should have been given a lower rate based on when I booked and not that day. Anyway, the agent at the drop-off location at the Asheville (NC) airport was great! I explained all of this to her, and she adjusted my bill to a very acceptable amount and said that that car should have already been sold and not part of their fleet anymore. It always pays to ask questions and question your bills if something doesn't seem right!

From the moment I got off my plane and went down to the garage to receive my car, it was all downhill from there. An hour and a half online and extremely high temperatures in the garage. The one car that was available that I received had damage and smelled like cigarette smoke and vomit. I was sure to report this to the person working the exit gate and she wrote down the information on my receipt. Upon calling customer service a few times and speaking too bad for different people, I just got scripted answers and zero assistance from Budget.

The nashville airport is confusing to get in and out of. I forgot to put gas in the car and traffic was so backed up at the airport that I could not go get gas once I was in line at the airport. There was no number to call at the rental desk to let them know I was going to be 10 minutes late. I ended up paying $10 a gallon. Left me with a bad taste overall.

We reserved a Ford Focus for 3 people driving 2 days and we were immediately told there was no such bar available. We were told there were tiny Chevy Parks available but the woman offered us a Ford Escape as an 'upgrade' and we had to pay more for this. She gave us her discount which lowered the cost, but this is such a poor service where you reserve a car and then it's just not available. Why have a reserve service if its not guaranteed? The woman was lovely but this isn't up to standard.

Signage for car pick up at BNA was unclear. Also, there was no Thrifty staff at drop-off and Hertz staff did not seem to even know this. Overall, however, the car was fine.

The associate at the counter was so upset I didn’t buy extra coverage. He didn’t tell me how to pick up or return my car - when I asked he kind of gave me some information that was not helpful at all- didn’t mention that keys were in the car and I just had to walk to number written on my envelope nor that when I dropped off I left keys in car and wrote all information on contract and dropped off in a box. I wasn’t told about extra airport taxes - $3 difference- no biggie but still he couldn’t explain why he was charging me more than I was quoted here. The SUV was as promised for 7 people but it smelled of cigarette smoke heavily. It was clean though. It was an easy process actually if it had been explained by the associate at the front desk. Scare tactics don’t work and then throwing a tantrum isn’t helpful either when one says no to all scary scenarios.

Drop off employees were fantastic but the reasoning for my rating is because the woman that checked us in was SO RUDE. She didn’t even say hello or greet me in any way when I walked up to the counter. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt because everyone has bad days, but this was unacceptable. Her attitude was uncomfortable and unprofessional.

I will never use Thrifty again. Sent receipt to wrong email (how do they have the wrong email on file when I booked online?). Hung up on me. Have to go submit receipt online. Last time it took 60 (yes, sixty) days to get a final receipt emailed. Totally unacceptable service by Thrifty

I liked that Dollar had a vehicle available at the last minute considering my flights were cancelled. I had to reroute then drive home. The process to drop off was the worse. I had to wait in a line after exiting the vehicle in order to turn in info to get a receipt. With other agencies it's a matter of pulling up, checking in with the staff waiting in the lane and on my way.

When I arrived in Nashville to pick up the rental car, the Dollar booth was closed and I had to go to the Hertz rental booth to pick up car. I had to wait in line for about 40 minutes and when I get to the counter, the lady could not pull up my reservation that I had with Dollar Rental. I see now that I have been charged twice on my credit card for my car rental, once from Priceline and another charge from Dollar Rental. Now, I need to call someone from Priceline or Kayak to try to get charges dropped off my credit card. I am not happy with the service that I received.

DO NOT RENT FROM DOLLAR/BUDGET/HERTZ!!! I rented a car At the Nashville airport to attend a funeral about 2.5 hours away in rural Tennessee. The car broke down when we got to our destination. after making over two dozen phone calls, the roadside assistance and booking kept blaming each other for the issue of not receiving a new car and kept transferring me to each division. 2 days later, I still don’t have a replacement car. I’m still waiting for a replacement car as I m writing this review. If it doesn’t arrive in the next hour, I’m probably going to miss my flight since I have no way to get to the airport. I did not have a vehicle to make any of the trips to and from the church, funeral home and the cemetery. DOLLAR/BUDGET/HERTZ made a very painful and sad situation even more frustrating. It prevented me from spending much needed time with my family and I will NEVER rent from them again. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!

We didnt even get our rental. When I made the reservation weeks in advance i included the flight number and spoke with a hertz representitive about the change to our flight time. I was told we would still be able to pick up our rental when we got to the airport at 1am. I tried using their "easy step" app to check in an it kept booting me out then told me i needed to speak with an agent. Come to find out there was no agent available till 7am. Spent 45 minutes trying to find a way to pick up our rental so we could get rest after a full day of flying. Finally get someone on the line an the best they can do for me is tell me to wait for an agent thatll be there at 7am. Worst experience i have ever had especially with the fact that i spoke with an agent 3 months before our flight to verify that we would be able to get our car. They set us up for failure to keep the money i was paying them rather than being honest and saying we wouldnt be able to pick up a car. I had to go to another rental service in order to get our BnB so we could get some sleep. Will never be going through Hertz again.

I booked a compact car well in advance of our trip. When I arrived—and after standing in line for 45 minutes at 10:30 PM—the clerk insisted that they had nothing smaller than a large SUV, and that it would cost me $120 more than my original booking. (Two days earlier, Avis simply gave me a larger car—no additional fees, since they are responsible for being able to fulfill their bookings.) When I pushed back, a smaller SUV somehow materialized, for $60 more than my original booking. Then they had trouble with my credit card. The clerk insisted that it was my card (I knew it was not) and demanded a new one. When I finally located another card (though I preferred to use the card with good travel coverage), she had the same problem and finally admitted that it was on her end, not mine—she had to call a number and get authorization. Overall, terrible experience and I won't be using Hertz again.

We landed in Nashville airport and went to pickup the rental car. Hertz gave us the parking spot number and vehicles license plate number which did not match up. We spent 30 minutes trying to get someone to answer the phone and resolve the problem while carrying luggage. A security guard recommended we take a similar vehicle and explain to the employee at the gate which we did. I’ll rent from a different company in the future.

Advantage notified me on my departure day that their office closed before my plane landed so I needed to cancel my reservation or be charged a $50 no show fee. So this reservation was not honored and put me in a very bad spot for finding a rental car. I won’t be booking with Kayak or Advantage again

Avis rental lady at Nashville helped us get a car, there was no Payless station or signage to lead to anyone who could help. The drop off in Atlanta was equally as poor, same issues.

The car itself was nice, clean and good quality.The day after we ordered the car through Priceline (nonrefundable), our flight changed to 1041pm arrival. We had ordered for 8pm pickup. I tried for weeks and weeks to contact the Nashville Payless desk to ask about a late pickup. There was never any answer. The phone system was apparently out of service, as it always went to a fast busy signal. We tried to work with Priceline for help, and we also called the Payless national customer service number, but neither were any help. All they could tell me was to call the local desk and nobody would offer to try to contact them directly for me due to the phone issue. The best I could get was that I could come back the next day and pick up my car at 7am when they opened again. Well, when I arrived at the Nashville airport at 1041pm, I tried to go to the desk just to see if anyone was there. There was not. I went up to the car lot and there were three floors with various rental brands, none of which were marked for Payless. There was no signage at all as to where to go for Payless cars. I went to one of the floors and asked one of the other companies as was told that he was pretty sure the Payless guys left for the night, so I took an Uber to the hotel and another Uber back in the morning at 7am. I went to the desk again, and nobody was at the desk. I went back out to the parking lot and talked to a person from another company and he said yes he could help me for Payless cars. Again, no signage, just randomly asking someone and he luckily said he could help me. I told him about the experience the night before and he implied that if I would have come to this floor last night, there would have been someone here to help me. I was very, very frustrated because I could have saved approximately $50 on Uber charges. Then, when trying to return my car at the Atlanta airport, we followed the signs to the Payless lot, where again, nobody was present. I went to another desk and asked where to return Payless cars, and they said Avis lot. We ended up have to go around the loop 3 times until we figured out how to get to the Avis lot and finally yes someone there could accept the return of the car. It was unbelievably difficult and frustrating.

StipulationsThe agent was helpful and helped me rent with another company.I didn’t realize renting with EZ rent a car had stipulations. I was renting locally so I couldn’t rent a mid-sized SUV and wouldn’t be allowed unlimited miles in the compact car rental.

Staff was ok, except he downgraded my car without telling me.Be Honest. And also assign the car that had been reserved or tell me why not. Pickup lot was.too far from the desk to go back for a correction. Plenty of cars were in the lot with no one attending it for me to talk to.

The person who processed my rental upon my arrival in Nashville, was very rude, humiliating and treated me and family as if he was better than us. This was my first time renting a car from Avis, and my experience was obnoxious. I would never ever rent from your company again, because I normally rent from Enterprise where am treated with respect and dignity!!! Your company need to train your workers to treat people with respect and dignity, no matter your race, religion or ethnics!!!Teach your workers to have respect to human, no matter what race you are.... we are all humans!!!
