Cons: I guess we didn't read the fine print about the parking fee. The $30 a day was a little steep. Not sure how we will handle that next time we visit Savannah.

Cons: The homeless people hanging around the front of the hotel asking for money and cigarettes. This made walking outside uncomfortable. I know there are homeless people in need but being approached several times a day in front of the hotel was aggravating and a little scary.

Cons: The wifi was spotty at best and painfully slow. I tried to disconnect and reconnect to pay the $4.95 surcharge for faster internet but was never able to do so. We were traveling for two weeks and all of the other hotels we stayed in had no wifi issues and were much lower priced. There was no hot water for my evening shower. My husband showered in the morning and he had hot water. The breakfast was fine but nothing special. Again, this was the highest priced hotel we stayed in so we were expecting more.

However, the decor and layout of the room were disappointing. With the exception of the bathroom, the room design and decor were not what we had come to expect from Hilton Garden Inns. We have always found them to be a cut above, this one was just a cut below. However the staff we had contact with were excellent and the breakfast we had in the lobby restaurant was very as was the restaurant staff. Also the location was great, within walking distance of the Market and the riverfront.

Even tho both my customer and myself were Hilton honors members - we didn’t have the ranking to qualify and we should go stay at the Hampton in down the street which included breakfast. We each paid over $175 for 2 rooms and we could n out be granted a simple breakfast voucher. Very disappointed and we all felt very un welcome.

Pros: Very disappointing. Room 101 might as well have been in the parking lot as right out my window was the lot. Car lights and back up beeps were heard throughout the night. The shutters would not close tight enough to close out the light from the landscape lights so I had to deal with a lot of light coming in through my window. I did not know this was a dog friendly hotel so there were also barking dogs. We had 2 queen beds and there was nowhere to put our luggage. No luggage racks. The electricity did not work to the lamp with the cell phone chargers. The shampoo dispenser in the bathroom was empty of the conditioner and bath soap. I went to the front desk to purchase a toothbrush and there were none.

Both the Buffett and the menu has choices to please everyone. The food was well prepared and tasty. This was a great way to start our Savannah adventure!! Special thanks to both Concierges, Chris and Michael. They gave excellent recommendations on places to eat and experience. Also we were surprised by Champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries delivered to our room for our anniversary. We appreciated the personal attention we received and would definitely recommend staying at the Marriott Riverside.

Cons: Every time the air conditioner shut off it made this horrible, loud sound. Woke me up every time! It got pretty annoying. Tried to get something to eat from the bar our first night. I know it was 5 minutes to close but the bartender was a bit rude and said they were closed. When questioned about closing time being 11:00 she stated that it was after 11. I had a watch, it was not. I feel like this could have been handled better.

Pros: My hotel room had a clogged sink and the faucet in shower was loose and falling off. Hotel staff fixed sink only. I wasn't impressed with overall room. Pool was also small and no hot tub. The best thing about this hotel was location.

Cons: We were placed next to several meeting rooms that they decided to clean and set up at 11 pm. The TV in the room was not working very well. Elevators were slow and loud which we could hear from our room. A hotel with this rating should provide some level of elegance, but they just don’t have that kind of style or culture.

Pros: A very comfortable hotel with a bit of something different - a washbasin in the bedroom (which was very useful). The bed was extremely comfortable and a great nights sleep was had by my hubby and myself. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom great. Location was also fab! A close walk to absolutely everything! And a great stay overall!

Cons: Not a 4-star hotel as it was not clean, staff was rude (Tisha, new trainee was incredibly rude), and checkin was delayed till almost 5pm for me and many guests (staff even tried lying saying checkin wasn’t until 4:30). Beds are uncomfortable.

Cons: We paid Extra 0n line for what was listed as a “River View Room”. All we got was a view of a parking garage rooftop. I went back downstairs and questioned the desk clerk. She stated that she wished they wouldn’t list the rooms as a river view and “next time you stay here you’ll know better”. None of the rooms can actually see the river...she said it’s just in the direction of the river. So stayed in the room...but felt cheated.

Cons: Check in was supposed to be at 4:00 and our room was not ready. It took multiple visits to the desk to finally get a room. River view is misleading as you only face the river, but cannot see it. The air conditioner made an annoying rattling noise! Each day house keeping did not come until 3:30ish, which is very late compared to other places.

Cons: The first room we checked into the bathroom toilet was not cleaned and shower had hair in it. We were moved to another room which initially clean however after the first night stay and we had the room cleaned again the shower was left with hair & on the rim of the tub and soap scum on the side of tub. Also we booked for 4 nights thinking that the price of the room quoted was for each night. We were very unhappy to see we were charged different prices each day. Can not recommend your hotel to friends or family !!!

Cons: Closet door was off track when we first arrived - easy enough for me to put it back on. Room #444 had a really odd smell to it. Not sure what it was but it was not pleasant. Conference: nice meeting room. Only complaint was loud noise/conversations outside the conference room (not from the hallway/entrance side, but from the wall to the right when facing front). Other than that it was perfect.

Pros: Friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Location is perfect to see all historic places.
Cons: Asked them to replace broken coffee pot first day and it never happened during the week. First day towels were taken and never replaced. Different girl was good rest of the week.

Pros: Great value for money close to Savannah downtown area. You can definitely walk there. Breakfast quite good.
Cons: (Very) noisy area, ear plugs are provided. Depends on whether you’re a light sleeper if this bothers you (my fiancée woke up, I slept like a log). Two smallish beds were provided, would have preferred a queen or king. Parking is paid (22$ per night) which is steep if you ask me.

Cons: Parking additional, even though it was unsecured on the street. Seemed like an unneccessary upcharge.

Cons: Truthfully, the only positive thing about the hotel was it's lovation. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The room had bugs- we found a dead cockroach in the bathroom. When we alerted the staff, the manager advised that she was not a housekeeper.
