Easy check in & return, Car was exceptionally clean, Drove easily. HOWEVER: Check-in young ladies at desk in SAV were not at all welcoming or cordial. They were more interested in what they were doing on the computer than talking with me or answering questions. When I did ask a question, they responded curtly, with annoyance, and with exasperation - like I was bothering them. Customer service skills could be improved. . Otherwise, completely happy with Alamo car, cleaning, and return crew.

Upon landing, I had a call from Hertz saying there would not be a car available for me. No cars were available at the airport or the other in-town location. The front desk staffs tried to be kind, but it was obvious there simply were no cars available. Had to use Uber and Lyft to get where I was going and then rent a bike. So while in the big scheme of things, it is not earth shattering not sure I would use kayak or a third party affiliate again.

NO. I found out two days before my rental began that the location will be closed until December. I did't received an email or courtesy call prior to 130 mile trip to Savannah.
We had to wait in line for 2.5 hours just to get up to the counter to get our car when we arrived in Savannah, GA. There was zero communication around what was going on. We missed the entire reason we flew into Savannah and rented a car in the first place. It was a complete waste of time and money. We found out this is a daily occurrence and the employees have alerted headquarters that they are extremely understaffed but they don’t car as long as people eventually get cars.

The lady at the pick up counter was excellent. Unfortunately she was alone with about 50 people in line waiting for a car. My experience sucked because I waited in line 4 hrs for a car. I missed my lunch reservation in Savanna and missed my tee time as a result. I thought I could save a few bucks but it wasn’t worth it. I WILL NEVER USE BUDGET AGAIN! There was only one person working to check in people for 2 different rental car companies Avis and budget. The inside of car had dirty windows, but we were unable to use the AC because is smelled like a dirty diaper.

Made a reservation for a minivan weeks in advance only to show up and be told all the vans had been sent to Augusta because of the Masters golf tournament. Was given a Ford Explorer instead which likely cost much more in gas. How do you reserve a particular car for someone then not honor the itinerary? Also, as of this posting there is a charge pending on my credit card which is $200 more than the contract price/receipt given to me upon pickup. We'll see what is actually charged to my account when the charge is finalized.

Budget was the only company that had cars available, but there was a long wait time.
Our flight was delayed and by the time we got to rental car counter, nobody was there to help us. We were stranded. Had to take over a $100 Uber ride to our Airbnb. Very unprofessional. Last person working should have checked reservations and waited for those who were coming in on that late flight...I have never had this happen before.....

The chance of dropping the car off in Miami rather than at the same office as the pick up. An explanation about the difference in between the pre paid fuel tank option and the self filling. I shouldn’t paid for the pre paid as I wouldn’t do that amount of miles in just two days.
Once I got through the automated phone system the team at Little Neck Road in Savannah were great to interact with. We met Casey the manager and Grover, but the majority of our interaction was with Robert Kraeling. He was always personable and followed through on commitments for service. All gentlemen are an asset to your company and should be recognized for the value they place on customer service.

Was the perfect vehicle for carting around family members for our daughter's wedding.
Car was not cleaned when I got in ... food in the back seat. Also gas tank was only 3/4 full even when the contract said it was Full. Didn't notice until I was 10 miles from airport. When I returned the car to tell the customer representative at the counter, I was told that since I didn't mention this issue when I picked it up, they could not do anything. Obviously, last time I will rent from Dollar .....

DID NOT LIKE At pick up there were only two ladies working. One was a manager of some sort. They were bickering back and forth because they had 12 people in line and no cars to give.Offer the people who had a reservation something because of Thrifty's poor planning. It literally took 20 minutes per person to rent a car. The long haired brunette asked if I wanted a midsize car and I said "no", I rented an intermediate. My rental was WAAAY over what I was supposed to pay.
Our flight was delayed 6 hours getting us into Savannah airport 11:30. Payless had our car waiting and ready for us even after the airport office had closed.

The Payless counter in Savannah is closed. A sign directed me to the Budget Rental Car counter which had a long line and only 2 agents. There were people standing around for hours waiting for a car to become available. We got lucky and didn't have to wait once we finally checked in, but the car we got was not cleaned. At that point, we had been in line for an hour, so we went ahead and took the dirty car. It smelled like sour milk, but at least it was the size we reserved and otherwise was issue-free.More rental cars are definitely needed in Savannah!!

Payless does not have any employees working at the Savannah airport location. You have to go to Budget/Avis. Then they walk you all the way back to the Payless counter where they have to manually fill out paperwork because computers do not come up properly and the printer is broken. The employee that helped me was fantastic. Had she not been this extra time spent and nonsense would have been a terrible experience. There is no one to check cars back in for Avis/Budget or Payless. For Avis and Budget you can fill out mileage and put it in the box but for Payless you have to go back to Avis and budget wait in line and give them the key and paperwork. They should just add a Payless box. Had that line been longer I could have easily waited 20-30 min just to hand that to someone. The process is not well thought out.

They claimed to not have my reservationI still got a carI arrived at the counter during my reservation time and was told I didn't have a reservation. The attendant told me this was because I had used a third party vendor instead of the corporate website. The staff than told me it would be more than double the cost of my reservation for the same and rental length. I left the counter and called the number from my reservation. Provided my name and confirmation number. Everything was according to my reservation. The attendant assured me there was nothing to be done. I paid the day of price and am waiting for a response from Payless corporate.

Nobody’s homeOur flight was delayed. When we arrived at the airport we went straight to car rental at Payless. Not a soul was around. They closed at 11pm and we arrived at 11:04 to their desk. All other car rentals were open but had no cars available. They very easily could have seen we were delayed but arriving in minutes and waited for a customer. Lesson learned that Payless isn’t about customer service.

Renting a car in Savannah airport should qualify as a scam. I needed a car to drive to Charleston to take a cheaper flight home post vacation. I had my reservation at noon. I was in line for 3 hours, only halfway through the line and eventually decided to leave the line change my flight from Charleston to Savannah (cost several hundred dollars) and forget the car. There are two staff members only trying to process 150 people, they give no information, and they take 5-10min per customer. It literally takes all day to pick up the car and you have no guarantee of getting it when you’re at the front. And oh it’s “non-refundable”

The representative did not put any effort into figuring out my problem. I had to go on the website myself and figure out that I was an emerald club member and make an account, which was very simple. It took 45 minutes for me to get a car. Also, I thought the price was going to be lower than estimated since I reserved the car for 2pm -11pm but only used the car until 6pm. The price was actually more than estimated.
