Pros: The room was amazing! Best price, location, and comfort. Has free parking for hotel guests which is amazing since most parking in Pittsburgh is valet or pay to park. Since you have free parking you can walk anywhere in downtown- amazing! Great staff! I had to check in earlier to get ready for my cousin's wedding and they were very accommodating. I haven't stayed in this nice of a hotel and great price, during Labor Day weekend mind you, in a very long time. Also they have a small market in the hotel and complimentary coffee all day! Good coffee with options.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast but it was included and had basic breakfast options.

Pros: Came to the Hampton Inn to see a DJ at STATIC nightclub which was only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Wonderful stay, our two queen and sofa suite was HUGE! The pool & HOT tub were very pleasant. Soo glad we booked a room here, had a fantastic night in Pittsburg!

Cons: I did not stay at this hotel due to overbooking. booked reservation through Kyak on Saturday 8/8/15; received e-mail later in the afternoon indicating hotel was full; I was informed Kyak booked a room at another hotel which was about 39 miles from current location which was unacceptable. I was able to book at Hampton Inn on McKnight Rd directly myself. I am disappointed in reservation desk at Hampton Inn-Downtown and Kyak for not recommending McKnight Rd location

Cons: I would say the only down fall is the parking, however, $29 for ballet parking is very reasonable considering where we were. The valet was on point and had my car ready, which was great because I had younger children with me.

Beautiful hotel. The common areas and rooms are beautifully decorated. Front desk staff were clueless. Manager was super nice, smart and helpful but she can only do so much. I hope/speculate this is maybe a product of having challenges hiring new employees as the two problematic front desk folks who had "challenges" in short (two different times) seemed either very new and while professional, simply not helpful or smart. The manager was super smart, nice and professional. No laundry bags (the usual plastic bags in a closet) in the rooms - odd - and the gym could have been tended to better; e.g., water cooler stopped working so I let them know at the front desk and said the towels were gone as well - they later fixed the water cooler but did not leave a lot of towels so they were short again the next day; also, the wipes dispenser kept getting jammed and I had to clear it on two separate days. Nevertheless, the gym appeared to be quite clean so I am guessing they cleaned it regularly but just didn't check to restock stuff at least on busy weekends. The complimentary coffee (and tea) on the first floor was delicious; however, it's not around for early risers (and no coffee in rooms so starting an hour or two earlier would be better. The valet is responsive but be aware that it shuts down from 11 pm through 7 am - they never told us this so when a daughter's flight got switched to early am, I texted for the car and received an auto text reply saying give them 10 to 15 minutes (understandable) but 20 minutes passed and no word and then received a text saying no valet available -- the front desk clerk merely said "you should have been told". Fortunately, the actual valet guy was great and had gone anyway unbeknownst to front desk clerk (no communication) and arrived a few minutes later so all is well ... just not a well oiled machine. Again, very happy with super professional manager at the front desk - she was great - and the cleanliness, comfort and look of the rooms and common areas (adult daughters really liked it.)

Pros: We loved the decor and ridiculously friendly and helpful staff. Room service food from The Commoner was also excellent.
Cons: Short water did not get hot and at one point was down right cold. Valet took quite a while to retrieve car. In-room phones were not properly dialing to where they were supposed to.

Cons: Weak service staff; most of the electric blinds in room didn't work so couldn't open to enjoy view; housekeeping didn't clean room during our two day stay; ran out of toilet tissue (no extra in room) and called to request some be sent up – returned later to find a couple rolls left on the desk (empty bathroom roll not changed); A/C controls not calibrated, hard to control temp; water pressure in shower pathetically weak. Front doors to hotel not set up to open to allow you to wheel in luggage easily. Front desk on 25th floor with no noticeable sign or attendant in ground floor lobby to explain where to go. Hotel has great potential, but doesn't have its game together yet.

Everything was excellent. The room and bathroom was so clean that I didn’t need to wear my crocs in the shower. The only thing that needs to be better is the communication between the front desk and the parking staff. I had trouble exiting the parking lot when I left. The parking attendant said the concierge should have asked for my parking stub and validated it.

Pros: The location is great and having both the Tap Room, Terrace Room, and room service was nice. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. The lobby is beautiful too.
Cons: Some of the rooms were quite substandard and badly in need of renovation with absurdly tiny bathrooms. More like a 1-2 star level of hotel than supposedly 4. The hotel windows didn't seem to be the usual double paned, and let quite a bit of city noise in, especially as there was construction from 8am-7pm during the week. The floor were also noisy....it seemed like most guests felt a need to slam their hotel doors constantly. Also, the lack of a minibar in the room was quite odd for this level of hotel.

Pros: My wife & I were in town for a concert at the Benedum and this hotel was exactly what i was hoping to surprise her with for our anniversary. Within easy walking distance of both TenPenny restaurant and the venue, this elegant hotel provided another bit of ambience to our weeeknd. The piano playing in the lobby upon our return from dinner set the mood for the show, and the piano playing upon our return from the show was a nice night-cap. For the price, the proximity of this hotel to the cultural district is unbeatable. Our next evening in town will include the Omni William Penn Hotel.

Cons: When we checked in, we were told since we booked with an "outside" agency, we wouldn't get "credit" towards our Omni select membership, but we would still get free wifi and free coffee in the morning. However, I was delivered a bill with a charge for wifi. When I checked out, the woman at the desk was a bit brusque about it. She said we did not qualify for free wifi or coffee since we booked through an outside agency, but after I explained that's not what I was told on check-in, she then said she would give me a one time courtesy. I did not like how she handled this, and that's why I gave a three star for staff.

Pros: The ambiance of the front lobby. Lots of stone and arches, Starbucks and a fancy restaurant if that is your thing. Brought us champagne for anniversary which was nice. Bed was crazy comfortable and I even liked the pillows.
Cons: No microwave in unit. Had a fridge but nothing to heat up food. And to get one required them to bring it to your room for $10. The restaurants and speak easy were expensive. Maybe that is me though. I guess I expected more based on the reviews.

Pros: Loved the beds! Very very comfortable. I heard more than a few people commenting on how well they slept! I didn't have to call room service for a thing! Enough towels, pillows, blankets, and everything worked! Nothing broken, nothing missing, quiet room, great view, housekeeping did a great job. Two different restaurants to dine in/even has a Brueggers in house. One restaurant was fine dining, the other an English Pub! We loved that we could bring our own cooler/or bottle of wine down into the lobby and hang out there. A lot of people did this. Just a pleasure as it's a beautiful old fashioned open lobby with big sofas and fluffy chairs, gorgeous chandeliers! Situated right in the heart of Pittsburgh! Not too far to walk to either stadium, right around the corner from the Consol for hockey and close to the bridge to walk over to Station Square. I would recommend this hotel to any adult couple/group travelling.
Cons: No pool/sauna or gym. Labor Day Parade made it difficult to get out or around the city when we were there but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Not a great hotel for children as no amenities geared towards them. Price was a bit high, even through Orbitz. I got an email from the hotel after I made my res through Kayak/Orbitz and they offered my same room for $99 per night instead of the $148 I paid (King standard room) but the hotel wouldn't accommodate the adjusted price as I had paid a third party (who by the way, paid them). Not convenient that I would need to call the third party and request that they adjust what they charged me. Hoping that Kayak/Orbitz will still adjust for me! I'll let you know!

Pros: We loved the stay for Mother's Day there food was excellent 5 star the room was little pricey and valet is 34 dollars over night but was one hell of a time, they have a speak easy in down stairs we didn't get in due to closed on Sunday's but love to go next time, the room was a king suite it was nice the bathroom too was nice we had great stay

Cons: They nearly ruined the gorgeous marble lobby of the Fulton Building by adding all sorts of slightly trashy 90s design don'ts to this Beaux Arts beauty. TV screens all over, a cramped, ugly bar, and nasty multi colored lights inside the glass dome. The rooms are fairly large but with more oversized, shabby chic furniture which would make Dorothy Draper blush. And PLEASE renovate the bathrooms! The fixtures are really cheap, dated, and quickly becoming obsolete.

Cons: I second the other comment about the nickel and diming. Valet and Wifi should be included in the cost of your stay. Also, I was very unimpressed by the food at the hotel bar, Andy's. I wouldn't have minded the fact it was so overpriced as can be expected at a hotel, but the Angus sliders had no taste. We should have made a quick walk over to Primanti Brothers which is only about 5 minutes away on the square.

Pros: Room was spacious and well adorned, view of the stadium and river was beautiful, and the building itself has a sleek elegance that can't be overstated. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food at Habitat and Andy's, while expensive, was delicious. We stayed for the first time on Valentine's day and plan on doing the same next year.
Cons: The price is excessive, nearly $400 for one night. While you certainly get what you pay for, I would recommend staying elsewhere unless you can justify this kind of expenditure as it really is a one a year kind of splurge for us. You also have to pay for wi-fi ($15 a day) which is just silly considering the cost to stay.

Cons: The room wasn't ready so they took down my number at 2:45pm and told me they would call when it was ready. I went out around town and came back at 9pm to ask if my room was ready because I still did not receive a call. Terrible follow up and organization! Also - while my room was getting ready, the women at the front desk told me I could use the shower in the fitness area to get ready. I went into the women's locker room and there was a male cleaning it, therefore I couldn't even use it. The locker rooms were awful aesthetically and need to be revamped ASAP. The only service that was great was the bell hop/concierge where we left our bags. The gentlemen there was very helpful, friendly, and inviting.

My booking through Kayak went through getaroom.com. While on hold with them, the woman at the front desk told me that they aren’t even allowed to book Springhill Suites rooms. After waiting on hold for about 20 minutes the getaroom woman finally came back, apparently she had spoken to the Springhill Suites manager, and they decided that they didn’t have any room for us so getaroom was going to get me a room somewhere else and rail me before 3pm with the new hotel information. 3pm rolled around and I had received no contact from anybody so I called again. The woman I spoke with this time put me on hold and called the Springhill again, this time they were able to find my reservation which they had the whole time but there was a spelling error on my name. I feel that if the front desk woman when I came in originally was a little more willing to assist or if the manager had actually come out to speak to me, this probably could have been resolved that morning without forcing me to drive around, pay for parking in other parts of the city, and have anxiety about whether or not we would even have a place to stay and the possibility that we might have to drive 4 hours back home. It also makes me very frightened that the trip to London and Paris that I’ve booked through Kayak May have the same issues.

Cons: The room overlooked the front awning where visitors can drop off luggage. The awning is sloped and water aggregates in pools at the back end of the awning right in front of my room's window. It looked pretty disgusting and they probably need to clean it or should have putt a better drainage system/slope to the awning. The bed sheets had a subtle stench to them. The sink must have been clogged because it would quickly fill to the brim if left running. The shower was also a little grimy and the drain cover came off when I bumped into it with my foot. For the decrease in price compared to the other hotels near the convention center I think I could have done better.

My only suggestion is that if you want to sleep past 9 am, put your do not disturb sign out the night before so housekeeping isn't knocking on your door. Actually, doesn't appear to be a comfortable chair in the entire hotel. Folding metal/canvas chair in room good for camping--useless otherwise. Rainfall showerhead placed 6 inches from the wall--took a shower uncomfortably close to the front of the shower enclosure. Bathroom light too dim for wife to put on makeup. Initial impression of stylishness gave way to a dorm-like feel. More like an Ikea infused Super 8 accessorized with thrift store accessories. $9 (small) plastic cup of wine served at the event in the "gym" was likely from a box of Franzia Blush spigotted into a bottle for for the pretense of a pour. By the the following morning, when the barista dude said "three bones, my man," for a paper cup of coffee, I had reached my affectation limit. Anyone over 40, stay away.

Pros: Clean, nice, comfortable rooms.
Cons: I didn't like finding a bill under my door the final morning for parking at the motel. $14.00 per day for parking my car in the outdoor lot. I could see if I was parking a second car there, but that was not the case. It is just a way to hide actual costs when comparing motels online.

Pros: Close to where we were visiting. Free hotel shuttle within a 3mi. radius was perfect. Quiet room, except for the train whistles and brakes. Free Wifi, and good breakfast. Walkable to Carson St. eateries and dives.
Cons: Pay to park in hotel lot. Shuttle broke down once and had to use Uber.

Cons: They overbooked the hotel. I had to wait in line for over an hour just to find out if there would be a room available for me. When I inquired about canceling my reservations, they then told me I could do so but would not be refunded. The two ladies at the desk gave some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I decided to continue to wait since I would not be reimbursed for my reservation. After waiting an hour and a half a room became available for me. The lady at the desk was very rude while checking me in. Asking me questions like "are you in rush? Do you have plans or something?" By this time it was 9:00pm and I and I'm assuming most of the other customers of the hotel had plans. I assumed the hotel would offer me free parking at the very least because of my wait. The lady at the desk declined frees parking. This hotel was horrendous. I do not recommend it to anyone. And I will never stay there again.

Pros: The convenience of the location was great for my stay, but that alone did not make it worth the money.
Cons: The room was dirty, sheets were dingy and had hair on them, there was trash on the floor, stains on the carpet, and dried blood underneath the sink area and on the wall. The sink and the tub did not drain well. I took a 10 minute shower and found myself in 12 inches of water by the end of it. I had to pay extra for parking which was shocking to me because it made it seem like it was included and it is not the area where I would freely leave my car. When I recieved an email confirming my stay it said that check in was 3pm and check out was 12pm, I had housekeeping knocking at my door at 10:50 asking me when i was going to check out. I will never be back.

Pros: Staff was friendly and recommendations for food, etc., helpful. Disability accessible rooms met a variety of needs. I had a great view of Mt. Washington, river and downtown skyline. The neighborhood is super cool and walkable. Great access to Mt. Washington, restaurants, shops, etc.
Cons: I was not aware of the charge for parking, but parking in the area is clearly a problem, so I was glad to have guaranteed space. There were no safes in the room, so I had to ask to have items locked in the manager's office.

Pros: Sufficient amenities. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Ok breakfast when food was available. Free wifi. Free shuttle service within 3 miles is awesome but never got the chance to use.
Cons: First off the suprise $14 parking fee as soon as we checked in was the first disappointment. My brother and I were exhausted from our drive and knew they had an indoor pool so we were excited to relax. Pool was small and colder than an outdoor pool in spring time. Their breakfast was adequate but it was constantly out of everything and ended an hour before advertised.
