It was a clean room and a good location.
Room was smaller than expected. Did find a stain on one of the pillows cases that was concerning.
Ever been to a micro-tel? This is a downtown micro-tel. My wife and I did a lot of dancing in that room because it was the only way to move past each other. What little floor space that was available was consumed by a giant floor mounted mirror. The view? What view. The windows looked upon a light shaft. Nothing but brick walls in all directions. Probably 9 feet directly across from our room. Had to keep the curtains drawn to avoid prying eyes from the building 9 feet from us.
The hotel is very modern and hip. The terrace was a nice feature. Very good restaurant.
Not enough lighting in room. Pillows were too bulky.
I booked 4 days at the hotel and was generally impressed. It was a 2 minute walk to Point Park University and my granddaughter's dorm. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel but had the pleasure of experiencing the restaurant, The Whale. Fabulous on all levels and the food was to die for. The only problem was check-in. I arrived an hour before check-in and was told to wait and my room with a view (which I requested) would be ready and guaranteed by check-in. I sat in the bar (which is spacious and wonderful) for an hour which was fine, then went to check-in and the room was still not ready and they put me in the room that was ready an hour before. The view was not great but at that point I would take whatever I could. Needless to say, I loved everything else about the hotel. A higher floor would have been better. Don't get me wrong. I loved the hotel and will book it again on my next visit to Pittsburg, but urge them not to approve a request unless you consider honoring it. The hotel was spotless and my room was cleaned to sparkling every day. Beds very comfortable. I never was in want of anything.
Check in was not as good an experience as the hotel.
The bed was very comfortable
There wasn’t room service
