Literally everything about our stay was fantastic, not a single bad word to say! We barely left the hotel except a quick visit to the casino at the Venetian.
We will absolutely be coming back!

With regards to some of the poorer reviews, the key is value. If you are showing up here and expecting a brand new five-star hotel, you are going to be a little disappointed. If that is what you want, there are plenty of options down the street that cost 5X as much. For me, I found the Grand Lapa to be a tremendous value that exceeded my expectations.

Pros: An absolute gem of a find. Once stepping inside the foyer I knew this hotel was going to be top notch. Compared to the other hotels around the area, this one had class. Far enough to stay away from the bright lights and traffic. The room was large and luxurious. The staff were impeccable. The pool, spa facilities were amazing. Unfortunately, we didn’t try the restaurants but did have room service and couldn’t fault. The food and service was amazing. We were walking distance to ferry terminal, shops and other casinos plus there was a free shuttle to the Cortai Strip from the Sands directly next door. I would suggest anyone coming to Macao, this would have to be the place to stay.,

Cons: I booked at wrong timing. It is in construction for remodeling the hotel. It is very noisy. They startet at 10am - 6pm. The hotel seems a little bit old school. That is why it needs to be remodeled and offered a low price for me.

This is what makes Las Vegas one of kind! They really make you not want to leave!!!

Possibly hard because of the language barrier but saying no no to guests instead of "sorry no etc. " seem to be rude. Also maybe let guests know about the strict swimming pool rules during checkin so they dont come all the way to the pool and get rejected.

Cons: Since we are a family of three I remember yesterday 27 Oct when we had breakfast and I paid for the extra one for my son, I didn’t receive the change from my payment. I know it’s a small amount and really no big deal but not sure if it’s how it should be. I think it would be more acceptable if they just told me that they don’t have loose change.

We were specifically looking for a smoking hotel. The room hadn't been cleaned when we entered. Went and explained to the front desk and they basically downgraded us to a lower floor and an older room.

Cons: Noisy and rude mainlanders (what's new?) made would be an enjoyable experience horrible. Had to call front desk twice to get them to tell them to shut up. First time I called it didn't seem to work. Second time I got someone who couldn't speak English unlike the previous guy. Had to go downstairs and muster up my limited Chinese to tell him what is going on. He told them to be quiet but they continued afterwards.
This place needs to always have someone on duty who can speak English and Chinese!

Cons: Better if the host can give a little more info on the location like from the port,which bus to take and where to alight and a photo of the hotel bcoz its quite hard to find..need data to search in google maps
