The Lancaster Airport car rental desks are located in a small room near the entrance of the airport. If you are arriving to Lancaster Airport by plane, the rental car room will be located next to the front entrance on your right as you exit the terminal. If you are arriving from the parking lot, it will be a brief walk to the entrance and the room will be on your left. In the room you will find two counters, one with Avis and Budget, and another with National and Enterprise. For most companies, the rental cars are located within walking distance of the terminal and no shuttle is required to reach your vehicle.
There are very few amenities located inside the rental car center at Lancaster Airport, but because of the small size of the airport, you will be within a short walk of whatever you may need. There is an Italian restaurant located on-site at the airport, and of course there are several bathrooms nearby. Make sure you have your reservation information downloaded on your phone or printed ahead of time, as there is no free Wi-Fi offered at the airport. You may also need to find a place to rest nearby, as there is no seating offered in the rental car center.
To be able to rent a car from Lancaster Airport, you will need to be at least 21 years of age and have your driver’s license and major credit or debit card on hand. Renters between the ages of 21-24 will incur additional charges. Should you choose to opt out of the rental agency’s insurance plan, you will most likely also need to provide proof of coverage to rent the vehicle.
Car rental companies that offer shuttle or pick-up services from Lancaster airport to off-airport locations include Avis, Budget, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and National.
Cons:Had to wait around for a while in the lobby. Didnt know where the avis receptionist was. He eventually came and the rest of the process was easy.
Pros:Liked the Lincoln MKX model vehicle. Comfortable drive and nice features.
Cons:Agent at Avis in Lancaster airport was very confusing. Charged me for insurance, even though I had already purchased insurance through Allianz Global Assistanze from kayak website. Total went from $87 to $127. Called Avis and they did not offer a refund. They were okay with charging me for something I had already purchased. Car smelled like smoke, which was a lot to endure on a trip of 19 hours.

Pros:Staff was friendly and process was easy
Cons:Being informed that the deposit would be held for several days
Cons:It was really nice car and in good condition
Pros:Easy check in and great customer service. Melvin at Manheim and Erica in East Pete were super.
Pros:New 2018 model
Pros:I have looked into getting a RAV4 for myself and being able to rent one while on leave was wonderful.
Cons:Due to my career being Active duty military I was not able to rent the car myself. I do not pay for anything myself and could not show proof of a Bill. I also really have no reason to own a credit card at the time so I had to use my debit card. If this issue could be fixed that would be amazing.
Pros:Pickup and return went smoothly. Requested car type (minivan) was available and was perfect for our needs. Representative was very helpful and offered to remove seats if this would be helpful to us. He also went over a few features of the car and "walked around" the car with us to ensure that we were in agreement about any existing damage (which was only a minor scratch but was noted on the paperwork). I also was appreciative that I could leave our personal car there during the rental period and pick it up when I returned the rental. Price was good. Would definitely consider Enterprise the next time we needed a rental.
