Pros: Both my husband and myself were truly happy with our stay here. We would defiantly stay here again. I have never given a hotel a 10 rating until now. The mattress was memory foam--we both slept better here than on our own bed at home. The location was literally 10 minutes walking from Main Market Square, Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica. Wawel Castle was a bit further and the Oskar Schindler Museum was a good 30 minute walk from the hotel. We did find a Milas Polish Pottery shop which was located between the square and the hotel; the patterns and quality they carry are the same as the factories in Boleslawiec. The hotel offers a secure underground parking lot which is easy to get in and out of.

Pros: From the check in being super easy (we were done in maybe 5 minutes), to the wonderful food at the in-house restaurant, and immaculate rooms, I could not being to recommend this hotel enough! We did not only fall in love with krakow (and hopefully will be back soon) but we also totally fell head over heals with the whole Mercure experience.

The price shouldn’t be as high- it made us search elsewhere for a secured parking spot, as we were definitely not willing to fork out £120 for a 6 day parking fee at the hotel! Pros: We stayed one night in March. We got in several hours before check in time. Not one restaurant in the area was open for breakfast so we decided to eat at the hotel. Breakfast was delicious I would recommend getting it with the room if possible. Since we were desperate to get some sleep we decided to upgrade to a superior room with did not cost very much and we go in right there and then. The room was a good size and very clean. In at the afternoon we got 3 cakes delivered and there was free water in the room. The area is wonderful, right next to a big shopping mall and the translation. Also, walking to anywhere in main Krakow from the hotel is a breeze.

Pros: The staff are really nice. The breakfast was fantastic; the cleanliness of the room was very good, hotel is quiet and clean. The only thing that disappointed us was the lack of still water we were given sparkling water most days despite leaving a note for the cleaning staff on the day before we checked out the room was cleaned with fresh towels & toiletries but no water, it wasn’t such a big deal as we purchased water every day.

Pros: This is one gem of a place - truly! I travel the world with my job and this place, hands down was awesome. Location next to train station (3 min walk), bus stop out front and only a 5 min walk to Kracow main centre square. Accommodation was clean, beds comfortable, shower awesome and bathroom under floor heating - WOW, so cool. We had some items we needed printing, front desk advised they can do it or go to floor 5 and a printer is there for all guests to use! Breakfast was just awesome, I'm Gluten Free and they had plenty of GF options. Could take coffee out as takeaway as well. The staff are just wonderful and friendly. Went into the bar, ordered drinks and they brought them over - nothing was hard work for these guys! lastly hotel next to Shopping Mall and a Starbucks on the other side!

Pros: The corner room is great. The room size is decent-to-big. The TV is the biggest we've had in a hotel room within Europe. The bathroom floor has the option to be heated and the bathroom liquid soap and shampoo are from Azzarro (sp?). They smelled so very good!!! The hotel provides a delicious, full breakfast with two free coffee/cocoa/cappuccino makers for guests and are available 24 hours a day. The bar is open 24 hours a day but the hotel's front-desk employees will need to clear their area to tend bar. The hotel is literally across the street from the Krakow Glowny (main train station). The wifi signal was good/strong as the signal never went away. All-in-all a great place to stay and I will definitely stay here next time I'm in Krakow. I'll stay at other Puro hotels in Poland, given the opportunity.

Pros: I loved how modern the entire hotel is, the room was really nice, the bed was comfortable, I loved how huge the window was but there was absolutely no noice coming in from the outside! I also loved that there was an iPad in the room on which we could change the temperature, tv channels or illumination of the room! The location was also amazing, right next to a huge shopping mall and walking distance from most of the sights in the city! The check-out was also really quick, it could be done through the iPad in our room! I’m definitely gonna stay there again if I ever go back to Krakow!

Cons: Only issue is with the lack of early check-in. It was bad timing that they had been sold out the day before our scheduled check-in date. We caught an early train and arrived at the hotel at 7am on our check-in date. Unfortunately, because check-in time is 3pm and the hotel had been fully booked the night before, there weren't any available rooms as check-out time is noon. We needed to shower before our 11:30am tour pick-up but our room wasn't ready until 12:45pm and we were already in our tour. The front desk lady tried to help but it was out of her control.

No view in regular rooms... you need need to pay a lot more for a room with a view and the prices are already up there. The room only came with one set of robe and slipper although there were two of us put down for the room. Nice hotel but for the price don’t know if we will stay again

Pros: We received an upgrade as soon as we arrived which exceeded our expectations straight away. Hotel is based in a great location, few mins walk to main square where everything is happening. Located a 10 min walk from train station so getting to and from airport was easy! Much higher standard than the typical Holiday Inn based in UK!

Cons: Stayed on the 1st floor and for 4 nights over Thanksgiving weekend, which also happened to be the same weekend as Advent (Catholic start of Christmas season). The halls were a bit loud, but mainly from the noise of people walking up and down. There were a couple of parties at the hotel but they all finished at a reasonable time.

Cons: Booked 2 nights stay for two people with breakfast. Checked in as two without any problem. First breakfast went without problem. On the second breakfast my husband was denied entry to breakfast room because according to the hotel personnel there was only one person with breakfast booked in our room. Hotel clerk didn’t make any effort to clarify the situation even after we show him confirmation email with price we paid and clear statement that breakfast is included. The whole event was humiliating and very unpleasant. It crossed out everything positive about this Novotel.

Cons: The car lift in the hotel was out of order. We were informed about this after booking was made, so the car was left on the side street two blocks from the hotel. Moreover, Krakowska street is under renovation, it is closed for cars and not convenient for pedestrians now. From early morning we were listening to the noise from construction works even the room window was not facing the street.

Cons: 1- deluxe room is almost exactly similar to regular twin room there is only a speaker additional in it. The rooms size is quite similar so I don’t know why the big difference in the price! 2-the bathroom of the deluxe room smelled really bad so we informed the receptionist regarding it to change the room but they didn’t have any so they sent some one to fix the issue but no significant difference was made! 3- the most important issue is when we booked for airport transfer for 9 people they told us it will cost 80zl and we asked twice to confirm that. So they sent is to cabs 1 for 5 people and the other for 4. when we reached the airport one taxi said 125zl and the other 80zl!!! Which means 205zl total!! And when we told the taxi driver regarding that he said it is what it is and he is not responsible of what the hotel said!! This was so frustrating!!!

This hotel is CLEAN! Not only was the room spotless, but every public area was totally clean and neat too. Even the children's play area!
The pool was clean and the water was heated to the perfect temperature. The jacuzzi was awesome! Changing rooms, showers and lockers were also available. A receptionist was on hand to provide towels too.
The included breakfast was served in a HUGE, beautifully decorated dining hall complete with tablecloths and place settings. The breakfast options were what you'd expect of a restaurant with many options. Fresh juicy fruits, eggs, bacon, pancakes, several different meats, lots of different salads and breads. This was far more and far better than a basic continental breakfast. And it was all delicious!
We had an issue with our room lights and someone came within 5 minutes and fixed it. The staff was friendly and polite, as could be expected at a 5-star property in New York or London. The room was comfortable and well decorated with a great view of the river.

Cons: Major negative - no iron in the room! Guests are required to give the clothes to the staff for ironing service, and the up charge is steep. It cost around €20 for a business suit. I really did not like that and it was the very first time I have ever seen a hotel not provide the option to just get an iron and press your own clothes. It takes a few hours so I was lucky to call early.
It was rather easy to hear people in rooms next door, especially when they spoke loud. Also, there were travelers with kids and those jerks had the kids running around and jumping up and down until maybe midnight, which could also be heard in the room. The sound proofing could be better.
However, I would absolutely stay at this property again and recommend it to friends and family! They seem to have brisk business especially with international tourists and they deserve it!!

The swimming pool is exactly as on the photo so there's only four chairs to rest, so practically no place. Saunas, which are not on the pictures are even smaller, 2-3m2 in total. There is 1 pillow per guest, 50x60. Ikea quality. Blankets are just small.

The room we stayed was claustrophobic. we could not open the curtains because the window is on the same level of the street, so people can see inside. The furniture (if we can call them so) are so old and terrifying. If you are claustrophobic, then you can't surely use the gym, again no window and so small. The lowest point was reached with the breakfast. Yes, lot of choice, but so basic/low quality that I don't think is appropriate for a 5 stars hotel. definitely I would never come back.

Cons: I asked for a quiet room and was given one right on the main road. I was given a room for disabled and the shower was really hard for an able bodied person to use as the chair got in the way. When I asked on checkout why I'd been given this room, the reply was that I asked for a single room and this was all they had. Not happy as I made the booking in February. They should have told me this was the situation and I would have been able to cancel and book somewhere else. Due to very bad weather over Switzerland, I arrived after 2200 - and I felt that noone cared. The reception staff need to learn how to smile! It's not that hard. Breakfast was average - to be kind.

Pros: Good location: within 15 minutes walk to the great market square. Breakfast was OK but repetitive. Secure underground car park. Friendly breakfast staff.
Cons: We have been charged more then price given by the booking.com. Restaurant overpriced, food average quality (friendly restaurant staff) Receptinon staff couldn't answer any of our questions about the area, parking, local sites, etc.

Pros: Not much to like about the facilities, a below average Ibis, but the breakfast was very good, the staff extremely hard working, from the ones in the breakfast room, cleaning after us, making sure all items were replenished on time to the house keeping ladies, all courteous, nice, always smiling and greeting. I forgot an item in the room and returned much later for it and was very happy housekeeping manager found it and kept it for me. Many thanks to the wonderful people working there, reception included, helpful and nice.
Cons: Facilities need a remodeling, linens an urgent replacing, pillows the same.

Cons: The bed linens were clean but the pillows had some some of bad odor, bath towels were paper thin, toilet had orange streaks around the bowl, and bathroom in general smelled of urine.

Pros: Excellent location just 10 mins from the main train/bus station and from the main square. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and the tram line passes the outside of the hotel. Room was very large and spacious, clean towels provided every day. Bed was very comfortable.

Pros: Good location next to the old town and near the jewish quarters and the Wavel castle. You get good value for the money at this hotel and my room was clean, quiet and had all you need for a couple of days stay. Breakfast was ok as well for an additional 35 zloty a day with my booking. I can recommend this stay for anyone who wants to be close to everything and still not be in the most busy parts of town. Good communications as well with tramway connection very close to the hotel.

Cons: No air con in the room and no window in the bathroom which meant the room got very hot during this current heatwave that is sweeping across Europe. Large windows opened to allow fresh air into the room but noise from outside made it difficult to sleep later than 8am. Only one English news channel - always like to check in with BBC World Service when we travel. Shower cubicle was very small and if you are on the larger size you may struggle to get in and out!

Cons: Change the system with the breakfast - it´s really unpolite to send people from the breakfast to the room, because you need 2 keycards from every guest separately. This system is like 30 years ago and very unintelligent. When a man by the breakfast asked me, if my wife and children are at the same room - really dehonested question.

Cons: I felt the breakfast room could be improved, we were b&b but only had it once as dining room and food was a little unappealing
