Pick up experience was not good. The desk agent in SF was mildly rude and made me feel dumb and wrong when I was confused about why I was given an EV as the manager’s special. Planning a long drive trip where EV charging stations were not readily available. Reserved a fuel powered automobile. At pick up point no vehicle was available and an EV had been assigned to me. Counter staff very rude, uncaring about my issue and not helpful to resolving the problem. Manager did find a fuel vehicle for me after a three hour wait. Forced to get an EV, even though I reserved a gas car and called ahead day off to confirm. Non Tesla charger car forced us to continuously look for a charger open. The majority didn’t work and when they did, charging took over 8 hours. Total nightmare on a vacation.Reviewed 9 Aug 2023

Hard to find Hertz office in Marriott. Not open til 9:00. Made to pay $20.00 fee for pickup and delivery after having pre-paid for car. Given written notice that had to go on line to pay Bay Bridge toll instead of paying there at office. Given wrong car. Wasted 1/2 hour trying to start wrong car before someone appeared to direct me towards the right one.Reviewed 21 May 2023
