Issue 1: $230 per day for a standard car. Issue 2: Nearly $1900 billed to my card a week later because that forgot to check it in when I returned it the next day. Hertz is the worst!!! I go out of my way to use any other rental company. Was given a car with a half tank (they gave me a hard time when I returned with 3/4 tank because I should have asked them to mark that in my record. Is it my job to do their jobs?). It also had low tire pressure that I had to fill up, the oil change light was on the whole time and the passenger seatbelt would not latch. I had sworn to stop using them and gave them one more shot, avoid Hertz at all costs. The worst company.Reviewed 15 Dec 2021

Luckily, I had printed my reservation info. The Hertz agent said there was no record of my reservation. The car was mediocre and had a very creaky driver’s side door. There was no one to check the car before leaving the lot, so we just left.Reviewed 7 Dec 2021

The car could have been in better shape. The backup camera was held in by tape and the windows hadn't been cleaned well (they were very hard to see out of). Otherwise, the car performed well and the experience was good.Reviewed 6 Dec 2021

Front camera sensor was dirty, so no radar ready cruise control, or lane something alert (car jumping into lane in front of me) and some other safety function. Didn't start notifications until I hit the freeway, was on deadline, couldn't return car, had to stop and look up the warning light that kept popping up and beeping, discovered it was a nonessential problem, had to endure whole trip (16 hours) with light constantly going off and beeping. An older car 60,000 miles. That said, brakes and acceleration were excellent, and seat was comfortable. But I figure no way the previous driver didn't notice the warning light constantly going off, and tell the maintenance staff. Perhaps that's not a good assumption, but I feel the car should have been better maintained.Reviewed 12 Sep 2021
