My pickup experience with Europcar in Geneva was great. The person helping me was very friendly and upgraded us to a nicer car ("Something a bit more fun" as he put it). The car was great and we had no problems with it during the course of our trip. The main problem I had was during the drop off. The car's ground clearance was pretty low, and at some point I must have scraped a curb or something. As a result, there was a very minor scratch on the bottom of the front bumper. The guy at drop-off pointed it out and charged me $900 for it. Europcar is already not a cheap rental company and this extra charge for something so minor (I would call it normal wear and tear) was pretty outrageous. I had insurance, so I'll see what they say, but I will think twice about using Europcar again if they are going to be sticklers like this.Reviewed 4 Aug 2025
