I hate the expensive zero liability insurance that they charge it doubled the price of the rental on top of what I paid to Kayak. This was way too expensive. I can understand a couple of hundred dollars for insurance but really 500-600 dollar more was insane. I know rental car insurance in Europe is expensive for travelers but this was way out of bounds. We rented on the French side of GVA, which was a bit hard to find. There was a wait at the counter, but the staff member was very helpful to us. There were detailed instructions on avoiding the Swiss toll roads, and finding the rental return, which was much appreciated.Cons:

There apparently is a French and Swiss side to the airport with car rentals at both places. The French side is smaller with less car but maybe a better deal. I rented a small suv because I was going skiing. They did not have that car but they “upgraded” me two classes to a luxury wagon without AWd. It worked for this trip but was not what I wanted. Also, the road signs and gps are not clear how to get back to the French side. We almost missed our plane. Found it by accident and not following what the signs would indicate10.0 Wonderful

the pricing policy is complete trash. i booked a car for approx. USD200 and ended up more than USD500, including all the fees, insurances, and surprise costs. Futhermore, I have been billed above the contractual fee, although I have returned the car undamaged, with very limited used kilometers (it was unlimited anyway), and a full tank. The agent at the desk told us that the local law required us to take out local full collision insurance, in spite of the fact that I had already purchased such insurance online. She was not willing to let us have the car unless we purchased the insurance. This left us no choice and cost us an extra $250!!! Of course I am going to demand that KAYAK (who, if this requirement is correct, misled us) or Enterprise (who, if this requirement is false, lied to us) reimburse us fully for the $250.2.0 Poor

Picked up the car on the French side of Geneva Airport had to wait 40 minutes why the staff took a break. When told them that we would be traveling to Annecy in France they told us to travel through Switzerland, we were not told about a 40 Swiss Franc road tax we would need to pay as the rental car did not have the road tax on it. We decided to rent a car at the last minute, there wee very few cars avaialable. Our car was nearly 600 Euro for 1 week, much more than we expected, but still nearly 100 Euro less than the next company and 200 Euro less than Hertz. The drop-off was strange, no one gave me any paperwork but hopefully that will be OK.Cons:

No windshield washer fluid, was a real problem driving in bad weather on the highway. I guess that's something I assumed would be there. Unfortunately, this is not the first time. Service not nearly as helpful as usual. In the past we have made an effort to rent from Hertz because of the extra effort they have made at this location. This time they made out the whole contract and we were about to sign when we noticed it was 300 € over our reservation price. Had to re-do. Price was already about 50% higher than what we usually pay at this location (Geneva airport, French sector) Also, we seemed to remember always getting snow tires in the winter as part of the standard package.
