Not enough staff.Pros:The Port Canaveral office is VERY busy on a cruise morning. We spent about 15 minutes waiting to turn in the car and another 30 minutes standing waiting for the shuttle to the ship. Needs some more staff.Reviewed 19 Jan 2017

Terrible Customer ServicePros:The car was clean... that's all.Cons:The gentleman who helped me when I picked up the rental was extremely short with me. He refused to look me in the eyes and mumbled so quickly I had to have him repeat himself several times. He seemed upset to have to be there. The car itself was so itty bitty, it was hard to hear yourself driving. I arranged to drop off the car at 5:00 pm on a Saturday. Apparently they closed at 3:30. No big deal, except they left no envelopes outside for after hour drop-off. I called the 1-800 number and explained my situation; the woman on the phone seemed like she didn't want to deal with me and transferred me to "directions". The gentleman who answered could not stop reading from his script. I finally asked him if I could speak to someone who could actually help me, he said, "Sorry. I don't know what to tell you." How rude! I left the keys and the next day called to check in and make sure everything was ok. I was cut off from speaking and was told I was charged $15 for the gas being below the full line. It was literally JUST below the full line! MAYBE a gallon worth. MAYBE! To top it off, I watched my credit card have 4 different pending charges for $188, $141, $130, and $47. Ridiculous. Cons:The office was closed and afterhours drop off instructions were confusing, complicated, and bizarre. The only available parking spot when we arrived was handicapped, which I parked in anyway, and by the time we left two more cars had pulled in with no place to park. Felt uncomfortable dropping the car keys into a mail chute but that was the instruction. It was all just weird.Reviewed 8 Mar 2017

Over Reserved?Pros:The agent, Hash, who served us was awesome. Calm, patient. He apologized for our wait, upgraded us to a nicer vehicle & said we wouldn’t have to refill car.Cons:Between Thrifty & Dollar, they accepted more reservations than they had vehicles for. Shuttle does not run regularly at Cape Canaveral PCons:We waited for almost 2 hours for a Dollar shuttle to pick us up from Cape Canaveral Port. They did not answer their counter phone. Finally, a Hertz shuttle took us to the Dollar car rental. They only had two employees running the place, so when we got there, there were over forty people waiting to get their car. We waited another hour or so to finally picked up our car and go on our way. I don't blame the employees as they were doing the best they can, but their management sucks.Reviewed 16 Feb 2016

Poor Service/Filthy VehiclePros:The affordability and vehicle size (Jeep Patriot) selection was the only great benefits.Cons:The poor service at Cape Canvareal Dollar Rental: short staffed, rude whenever they did decided to speak, provided empty tank vehicle, personal items left behind from at least 3 other people (car title/job application/insurance card/used baby wipes), smelled terrible (a@@hole), sticky interior, service engine light came on, drove like a scooter, and sounded like a scooter!Reviewed 5 Sep 2016
