Pros: By far my favorite hotel experience ever. It was very luxurious, beautifully appointed, and the service was superb! We were welcomed by a very pleasant and courteous bellman, and every ancounter with staff thereafter was remarkable for its pleasant, service oriented tone. They are in a very deluxe hotel and they treated us, ordinary guests, as if they were delighted to have us! And the breakfast buffet was out of this world!! A terrific experience from start to finish.

Pros: From the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly and treated like a valued guest. The service in all areas of the hotel was the best I have experienced at any hotel. The rooms are beautifully updated with very well appointed bathrooms. Entertained clients on three occasions at the Curtain Club. Could not have asked for better service. Nicholas in the Curtain Club should be commended for a job well done. This will certainly be my go to hotel in Berlin for future stays.

Checking in on Sunday morning after a flight from the US, tends to be iffy, however, the Ritz had a room waiting for me, and were expecting me. The hotel interior is beautiful. Rooms are well appointed, large, especially for European standards, and very quiet. The bar and restaurant was excellent. Only quibble I had was with the gym: small, smelled, and illequiped.

Pros: Warm, friendly and professional welcome from the staff. The hotel is located just off gendarmenmarkt, not too far from the ubahn. Room was a little small but just enough to open my cases and comfortably move around. Bed was comfortable, nicely decorated. Gym was excellent, one of the best in any hotel with more than 25 machines. And the hamman was outstanding and is a must visit. I have stayed in several hotels in the area and overall I like this one the most and it's priced lower.

Cons: When we booked we requested single beds as we were a party on mother daughter and two sons. When we arrived there we were in double beds which was disappointing. The beds were large and comfortable however so it was ok. The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. I expected a big variety it was at best a 4 star standard. That was the main reason I booked it so my sons could get a good start to the day. I would not go back there for that though. The hotel restaurant was very expensive and as we didn’t arrive til 9 pm we had to go out and look for a restaurant. There were very few restaurants in the area and all were closed so we had to eat in McDonald’s which was very disappointing. However in general the location was really good. Cons: While the location for us was spot on, I can see how it's a bit far out from central areas for most visitors, unless you are there for business in the area. The only other minor complaint was the television, it said it was a smart tv but it definitely wasn't, and if you don't speak German (which I would assume most out of town guests do not) then you have nothing to watch.

I had asked for a quiet room and they very explicitly took this into account (i.e. they mentioned it at check-in, and the room was indeed in a quiet corner). Cons: In the first room they gave me, the TV didn't work. I was then given another room (which was even nicer than the first one), but the whole procedure took at least an hour. But at least the staff was very friendly and apologetic. - The lighting in the room was not very good (it would have been a problem if I had had to do a lot of work). There was a small lamp on the desk which improved the situation somewhat, but without any switch (or perhaps I couldn't find it??), so the only way to switch it off was by unplugging it from the socket under the desk - not very comfortable. - The room and bathroom were in principle clean, but when I took a bath I could see (due to the different angle) that the toilet bowl was quite brown inside under the rim. I'm not very picky for this sort of thing, but it was clear that the toilet hadn't been cleaned with a proper brush that also goes underneath the rim for quite some time.

Pros: The place is very well located, just around 10 minutes walk to Museum Island, Berliner Dom and Alexanderplatz. There is S-bahn station and tram stop just nearby which makes it easy to explore Berlin. The staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean. The breakfast was quite good for its price.
Cons: The Megadorm so it's called is a sort of open space dormitory with lot's of beds. So beds aren't fixed and you can choose whichever you like. Though there are strict rules of being quiet at the nighttime, it doesn't always work and it can be rather noisy. The beds aren't very comfortable.

Cons: Soundproofing is practically nonexistent so you can hear every single slam of the door in the corridor, which happens quite often, and how people in the room next door speak, let alone when they laugh. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

Cons: The ONLY drawback to this accommodation was the air circulation. Room was a little warm; AC was turned off for the season and windows open just an inch or two, slanting upward so air doesn’t really get in. Other than that I LOVE this hotel!!!

Cons: The shower was a problem. The pressure caused it to spray everywhere. No matter what we did, the whole bathroom ended up soaked. It was just too small a stall for such a high powered shower head. The walls were a bit stained and the porcelain cracked.

Cons: The bathroom and toilet room had dust around the lamps and an extractor hood. In the room, a chair with a light gray fabric with dirty spots. When booking at the hotel, they reserve money from the account. But when they check out, they do not remove the money from the reservation but are paid from the account. I waited more than ten days for my booking money to be returned to my account. There were no fish dishes at breakfast, such as salmon.

Running the shower resulted in water all over the bathroom floor since door not good and could not put bathmat down because of door clearance. Pros: The location and facilities were great. Bar staff were very friendly and professional.
Cons: Everything seemed to be out of service including the cash machine and vending machine. Our sheets didn’t cover the entire bed, leaving the plastic mattress protector exposed. The pillows were not in fact pillows, yet clumps of broken wool, stuffed into a pillow case. The cleaner barged there way in while we were asleep, leaving the door wide open. It was not a comfortable experience. One morning, before 9am an emergency alarm went off, informing everyone to evacuate the building. We followed the protocol only to be ushered back inside after a mere thirty seconds later. No explanation was given.

Pros: The hostel was very clean, and staff was always friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the cafe and lounge area filled with books. The WiFi was very reliable. Made lots of great international friends!
Cons: Slightly cramped dorm space, the storage space for my luggage was a little awkward to work with (my suitcase barely fit and the storage box protrudes into the small walkway).

Cons: UM a man of reception was not that kind. He didn't tell me about how to use my card to Elevator or doing sth with card. I heard about check in details from other reception guys.
