10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The room (yellow) was wonderful with really comfortable bed and bedding. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were some of the best we have ever had. Extra touches like the cafetiere, chocolates and hot chocolate at night were much appreciated. The hotel is quiet and within walking distance (up quite a steep hill) of Hastings old town, which is well worth a visit. It has lovely views from the breakfast room and I assume two of the bedrooms. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Cons: It was a little strange that there was no door on the toilet and just a curtain between the bathroom and bedroom, albeit a lovely quality curtain (yellow room), however the bathroom was as lovely as the bedroom!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful B&B, good quality furnishings, excellent provisions ie in room refreshments and probably the best breakfast we've had at a B&B, cooked by a very friendly staff member. Jason provided hot chocolate & marshmallows for when guests arrived back in the evening as well as a large bowl of jelly babies - brilliant! Would definitely recommend The White House. Although it's a bit of a walk into the old town we really liked it as we got lots of steps in and it was very quiet up on the hill. There are lots of good places to eat, we had great fish & chips at The Dolphin Inn - fish & chips Monday with peas, tartar sauce and a pint for £9.95! Other places we liked : Eat @ The Stade, The Green Cafe and The Goat Ledge on the prom, but there are many others we'd like to have tried. We really enjoyed our trip to Hastings and would definitely stay at The White House again.

Cons: Nothing. Just perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved The Laindons! From my first phone call with Ian through to our check-out (also with Ian) everything was absolutely spot-on. This was a last minute trip booked just about 2 days before our arrival and having not been to Hastings myself before I was hoping this would be a lovely treat for my boyfriend and I. Ian was flexible with our check-in time (we were going to do an 8 mile hike in Rye Harbour and not entirely sure how long it would take) and couldn't have been more welcoming upon our arrival. Our room (the Coral Room) was far more beautiful than the website photos communicate with thoughtful touches like ear plugs (for the morning seagulls) and dental kits (in case you forgot your toothbrush) along with an outstanding tea selection (Tea Pigs teabags!). Although the bathroom was on the small side and I felt slightly let down by the bog standard shower enclosure (in comparison to the luxurious room - it was a bit of a mismatch? A few subway tiles and better quality glass enclosure would do the trick.) the rainfall shower head had great water pressure which I always appreciate! The sitting room is open for all to use with coffee table books, board games and an honesty bar. My boyfriend and I brought back a bottle of wine after dinner out and were the only residents using the space. We sat for several hours talking before taking ourselves off to bed. Breakfast was delicious and once again, Ian's perfect hosting skills kicked in when, having overslept, we turned up ridiculously late in the morning (we said we'd be down for 09.00 but overslept and rocked up for 10.00). We got a gentle (deserved) ribbing from Ian for our late appearance and I knew that all was forgiven! The kitchen had run out of avocado (first world problems) so my boyfriend went off menu requesting a bacon sandwich instead and it was cheerfully accommodated.
Cons: The Bose Soundlink with iPod was a nice touch in the sitting room but the tunes could use updating. Or perhaps some cables to allow us to plug in our own phones/Spotify? But I'm only being nit-picky by saying this. I don't think I could have loved this place more! Next time I'd like to stay longer than one night...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing service, gorgeous comfortable room (yellow room), really friendly accomodating staff, fantastic breakfast. We will be going back.

Pros: I needed somewhere near the station and also needed a good wifi connection. This place filled both those requirements.

7.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly, very clean, in a good position in the old town nice little touches such as tissues, biscuits, hot chocolate, information about the area ironing board put ready
Cons: A lot of stairs to climb to our rooms in the attic! Out of breath and sore knees and hips. Squeaky beds but comfortable. fried egg not cooked on the yolk, a bit slimy, otherwise good. My son couldn't eat his so we had to go out for his breakfast afterwards. very noisy plumbing when you turn the tap on No hot water in the sinks for shaving, used the kettle Rather a small room for twin beds poor Tracey had an awful cold and chest infection so was coughing over the food, she had no one to help her we have all come down with a cold this morning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked the en-suite room. Very luxurious and both had a lovely hot bath. Breakfast was superb. Tracey was really ill (Poor thing) but this did not compromise her hosting skills. Tracey provided everything that was requested and still managed a smile.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Only to many stairs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tracey is a joyful and warm person. She is very attentive and will gladly talk to you not only about the guesthouse, but also about your visit to Hastings and the surroundings. It felt like home away from home, and my room was really comfortable. The breakfast is delicious and balanced.
Cons: I have nothing to complain about. Everything was just right!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a very friendly bed & breakfast, located in the centre of the Old Town. The location is great for public transport, as there is a bus stop nearby, and the train station is within walking distance. The breakfast was really good, with a number of options to choose from. All you needed to do, was select your breakfast from the menu, the day before and note it on the chalk board and you got the breakfast of your choice.
Cons: There are stairs to get up to your room, so if you have problems with your mobility, you may find this difficult. If you need to check in after 7pm, you need to access by a code to the key safe. As it was dark, we had difficulty in accessing the key safe, but we rung the bell and were let in, so it wasn't a problem.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic breakfast. Central location for the old town.Lovely host. We stayed in room 5, a twin room which is very cosy and comfortable.

Generally very good value for money, we had a lovely stay. plug in heater was a bonus as it has got very cold outside.
Cons: nothing i didnt like to be honest, if i was to be very overtly pedantic id say that despite advising in the welcome folder that they would be provided; we had booked a room with an en suite and should have been supplied with bathrobes in the wardrobe...but honestly it didnt bother us in the slightest so im only really saying it to pick holes.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Always pleased to find a hotel with spa and gym facilities, particularly enjoyed the outdoor hot tubs in the cold rain, enjoyed whole stay. Was usefully close to my morning meetings too.
6.0 Good
Pros: Hotel standard was good, the beds were very comfortable, pleasant breakfast. Reception staff were very helpful and professional. The room decor was good and spacious.
Cons: The Spa was quite poor, it is a local gym in a separate building nearby and fairly run down. The pool has rusty ceiling, the sauna was overcrowded and if you could manage to squeeze in it couldn't maintain temperature due to the high turnover of people. Showers and changing areas not very clean and need maintenance. Overall it would be more effective to stay in any city hotel and get a day pass for a decent gym nearby. For the hotel, only the laminate panelling in the bathroom looked out of place, but nothing major there.

Cons: We had to switch off the fuse for the automatic light at the mirror during the night because it always started again after 3 minutes ... Should have stay longer!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We spent 2 nights at theZanzibar on our baby moon to get away from the city. We could not have asked for a better stay -the facilities were top notch and the staff were fantastic. Excellent breakfast both mornings which we chose to have hand delivered to our room making it even better. The location is convenient and provides a good base to explore along the coast. Everything was modern and of the highest standard, we also liked that the rooms had real personality to them. Thanks to Max and his team for looking after us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay here, beds were super comfy! The option for breakfast in the room was also a bonus. Brilliant views and excellent service from friendly staff.
7.1 Good
Pros: Welcoming, friendly staff. Good location on the sea front. Spacious room and quirky design. Good menu at breakfast.
Cons: Jukebox in room didn't work. Feeble shower pressure and pillows were either very lumpy to solid. Strange that no plates or bowls were provided in the kitchen area even though all cooking pots and utensils were provided.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Lacking parking
1.0 Poor
Pros: Not a lot. We requested two disabled rooms with showers as two of the guests needed them. There was no hand rails for the toilets or showers. So they could not have showers. The rooms were very dusty as if they had not been cleaned for a while. The hotel is NOT disabled friendly and I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who is disabled. It never even had a wheelchair ramp for getting in and out of the hotel.
Cons: As ABOVE
7.0 Good

4.0 Okay
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: Dirty, moved rooms twice, no kettle, wee all on bathroom floor
4.0 Okay
Pros: Only location
Cons: Too old and not clean
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: The room had a stale smell from the pipes. Water was leaking from the shower onto the wall reducing the amount and pressure of water from the shower. Water draining was very inexistance, I was standing in pool of water which was still there when I checked out.
4.2 Okay
Pros: This is a budget guesthouse and you pay for what you get.
Cons: The cheap price is reflected in the room. It is very basic. The bathroom is tiny with quite possibly the loudest toilet flush I have ever heard. There was also a lot of mould/damp in the corner of the bathroom which isn’t very nice. The room could have done with a thorough clean as it was grubby.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location few minutes from the station and town no issues or problems landlord was lovely
6.7 Good
Pros: Good value for money and close to the centre of Hastings
Cons: Very tired building. It's been a while since it's seen any tlc.
7.0 Good
Pros: There was no hairdryer, there was no wi fi code in the room. However it was clean, comfortable and the street was quiet. Slept well and met my needs, however it would be nice to have a little bundle of toiletrie available in the room & a hairdryer. Reception staff may have had code.
Cons: Not enough toiletries, there was no hairdryer and could not access wi fi as staff had left.
7.0 Good
Pros: Tea avaliable
Cons: No bathroom mats in bathroom. It was like a lagoon after taking a shower
