Pros: The staff is great. Very helpful and definitely a commendable team. Even though there were several different people behind the desk you could tell they knew what your room was and the situation of your reserved tour. Everyone was very kind and attentive. The breakfast is delicious and on the last two days we found out you could get omelette a and scrambled eggs done aside from the buffet. We didn’t know before so maybe letting the guests know this is possible would be good. The room was great. The facilities also great to relax and very personal. Unfortunately we couldn’t try the restaurant there but it sounded amazing. Great location definitely. Right up some steps from the main road of Taormina and right next to one of the best pizza places there. Hope this helps

Pros: This was such a wonderful place, it broke my heart to leave. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are great. My terrace overlooked the gardens and the outdoor hot tub. The room was elegant without being fussy. The breakfast was a work of art! Every morning it was a beautiful (and tasty) was to start the day. The staff were very helpful and friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back to Taormina to stay in this wonderful place with this staff again. My only disappointment was that I expected a friend to join me for a day and I was going to have the chef prepare a meal for us. Unfortunately my friend couldn’t make it at the last minute and I waited too long to have a meal for myself. That definitely will not happen the next time I am there.

Pros: Beautiful property and rooms, felt like you were staying in an Italian villa that was only a very short walk to the main Street. The rooms were clean and comfortable with some modern amenities. The staff were wonderful (special mention to Budi) who helped us navigate our way to the hotel, park our car and provide good recommendations. Beautiful gardens, plunge pool and terrace for evening drinks. Highly recommended.

Pros: There was not one thing in particular that I could say I liked most, everything was spectacular. The moment I called for help getting there, I was expertly guided and assisted in handling the car that I had. The service was immediate, we where greeted at the gate to help with our bags. A few steps onto the property we where awed by the beauty, everything from the immaculate Tiered villa descending the mountain side, to the surreal vistas we had before us. From one spot near our room, we could see the shore all the way to Catania, this view included the breathtaking Mount Etna as well as the Toarmina shores. The hotel is a few steps away from the Main Street, which has just the right of energy all day long, full of shops, cafes, and restaurants to keep you busy. Above and beyond the ambiance, I have never experienced such amazing staff. Especially Francesco and Allesio, whom took every opportunity to help make our trip even more magical. Everything from assistance with our bags, to cocktails in the garden, they where I top of it with endless smiles. We where even offered to be driven into town the day of our checkout in our car so they could help us find parking and make sure everything was in order. I will undoubtedly be returning to this hotel any occasion I return to Sicily. If this hotel is ever an option for you, take it, you will not regret it.

Cons: I am extremely sensitive to minor things around how well a room is maintained over time and I notice small wear and tears and they bother me. For example, I see when there is some accumulated gunk around door hinges in the shower, or small areas of stain around bathroom sink edges, whereas my husband doesn't notice these things at all. I think most would say it was all fine, but these little things bother me because I am a bit intense about cleanliness. About the room there were very small things that bothered me about the bathroom BUT please understand that I am quirks that I assume most people do not have. For example, there is a door to the toilet that did not close all the way and this was very annoying. There were no soap dishes for the bar soap which was inconvenient. Also, I greatly dislike sinks that are square-shaped without any curves because I think it is a bad design.

There is a cute bar with tables but sometimes you just want to lounge in your chair.overall it was amazing!

Pros: The food was good, the waiters pleasant . The entrance to the hotel reminds one of a Office block, no thought to make it attractive., a depressing beginning, huge queues to check in. The lifts were dangerous, I caught my arm and hurt it, as it closed very sharply and quickly. My daughter and her three year old daughter were stuck another lift, the very long one going to the beach. We were just told it was old, and had already had many complaints regarding it.

My room had double sinks in bathroom and a small walk in dressing room with a larger mirror and outlets for your own hairdryer)one is already in bathroom). It had some drawers a mini fridge and hangers to hang your clothes Staff always asking what they can do for you except for down pool area. They seemed to be put out and barked at us about how many towels we took vs signed out. They came out one time from behind pool desk questioning us about how many we took and signed out. When our husbands got the towels they didn’t question them at all and it was same person who was rude to us. Anyway we didn’t let that bother us and still rate this hotel very highly

Pros: Overall, Una Capotaormina was a great hotel, very clean with a unique beach and pool area. Nightly entertainment along with a free shuttle to town. Our only complaint is that the room had a slight mouldy smell which we understand being right on the sea, but perhaps the hotel should spray some nice natural scents in the rooms. Also, too much chlorine in the pool! In general, they offered a very nice buffet breakfast with a fantastic terrace view, staff were helpful and courteous ... we enjoyed our stay immensley!

Pros: The food was good, the waiters pleasant . The entrance to the hotel reminds one of a Office block, no thought to make it attractive., a depressing beginning, huge queues to check in. The lifts were dangerous, I caught my arm and hurt it, as it closed very sharply and quickly. My daughter and her three year old daughter were stuck another lift, the very long one going to the beach. We were just told it was old, and had already had many complaints regarding it.

It had some drawers a mini fridge and hangers to hang your clothes Staff always asking what they can do for you except for down pool area. They seemed to be put out and barked at us about how many towels we took vs signed out. They came out one time from behind pool desk questioning us about how many we took and signed out. When our husbands got the towels they didn’t question them at all and it was same person who was rude to us. Anyway we didn’t let that bother us and still rate this hotel very highly

Pros: Overall, Una Capotaormina was a great hotel, very clean with a unique beach and pool area. Nightly entertainment along with a free shuttle to town. Our only complaint is that the room had a slight mouldy smell which we understand being right on the sea, but perhaps the hotel should spray some nice natural scents in the rooms. Also, too much chlorine in the pool! In general, they offered a very nice buffet breakfast with a fantastic terrace view, staff were helpful and courteous ... we enjoyed our stay immensley!

It was a perfect location in the centre of one of the busiest pedestrian only streets in Taormina with easy access to restaurants and historical sites. Cons: Thought it was extremely overrated for a 5 star property. We booked for our honeymoon and were welcomed as a newly wedded couple at reception but it ended there. The room was small, and everything was white, nothing that stood out about it and it lacked character. As a honeymoon couple it would have been nice to have a bottle of prosecco or something extra in our room, but we were treated no different to any tourist so we weren't made to feel special. The bathroom was nice with a big shower although the inside of the shower screen didn't look like it ever got cleaned. I spilt some foundation on the marble floor in the bedroom and it was there the whole 5 days and didn't get cleaned. The breakfast was very stingy with no cheese or meats. Although the breakfast staff were lovely and extremely helpful. I've stayed in much nicer rooms for a fraction of the rate we paid.

Cons: Whilst being on the cheaper side for 5 star properties, there's little that warrants the rating. Breakfast is a joke, no ironing facilities other than a massively overpriced ironing service on "request" (in that we had to wait for the sole designated staff member to show up), promised welcome drink never materialised. Amongst the many missed opportunities to make the stay worthwhile was that despite being informed it was a birthday trip, there no was no token gesture of any kind as expected of a hotel of the alleged calibre.

Pros: Great garden and location. Luxury and traditional hotel, full of charme. Staff was lovely and very helpful. It is a truly relaxing place, located in the best part of Taormina. Drinks at the bar with jazz entertainment were good as well. I loved the very generous and varied breakfast, where you can enjoy a fantastic buffet that also includes granita. Restaurant staff also very committed and attentive. The rooms are large and full of charme, bed wide and comfortable. I hope I will have an opportunity to come back soon!!!

Nothing happened to us in particular but they do not try go out of their way to please client... It seems like it's always the clients fault and they speak between themselves at front desk. Cons: We expected an ocean view when booking a premium room at the hotel. To our surprise our room was facing the big wall on the opposite side of the ocean and next to the elevator. Tried to change it and it was not possible. That’s why we tried to cancel this night here but at the end of the day decided to stay in and booked more two nights directly with the hotel an ocean view room for additional 50 Euro per night. It would be hard moving to a new place with a lot of luggage. Spent a lot of precious time at the front desk instead of enjoying Sicily and Taormina.

Pros: The hotel is desperately short of staff but the few they have are excellent and very hard-working. They need more staff and the hotel desperately needs maintenance. Many of the appliances don’t work like the toaster. Only one of three elements is working. In the lift only one of 4 lights were working. In our room, every time I put our key card in the slot, the lights tripped and I personally had to lift the switches in the electrical box every time we went into our room. In the bathroom, there are cracked tiles and there is nowhere to hang one’s towels. The balcony never got cleaned. A complete audit needs to be done of this so-called four-star hotel. In its day it must have been magnificent, but it really needs some tender loving care now. Also, because the breakfast room is run by a separate company, there is literally not one minutes grace come 10 am. Be clear the tables and all the produce and make you feel guilty for being a few minutes late. They also switch off the coffee machines and make you feel most unwelcome. There is no soap in the public lavatory. Today is that I’m aware of. Nobody is checking on housekeeping or maintenance and this must be done if the hotel is to keep a four-star rating. It is superbly positioned but that will not be enough for disgruntled customers all of whom have told me they will not return.

Pros: The view is incredible, the location is perfect- right in amongst everything, yet quiet and with views of the gardens, ocean, pool and beautiful theatre entrance. Had a bit of trouble with my door keycard, but staff were quick and helpful everytime. Lovely to have the pool, and easily walkable to everything. Love the style of this hotel, I thought it had so many beautiful details and took many photos of different parts. Kinda felt like a princess in a castle. highly recommend a sea view with a terrace!
Cons: The walls are pretty thin, good to sleep with earplugs as I heard the neighbours alarms going off, shower, music etc

Pros: Taormina Park is really well located - a short walk to the bustling town, and right next to the Ancient Greek Theatre and communal gardens. Incredible views from my room, as well as from the pool. Giuseppe at the front desk is wonderfully helpful and kind, especially to the solo traveller.

Pros: The hotel is desperately short of staff but the few they have are excellent and very hard-working. They need more staff and the hotel desperately needs maintenance. Many of the appliances don’t work like the toaster. Only one of three elements is working. In the lift only one of 4 lights were working. In our room, every time I put our key card in the slot, the lights tripped and I personally had to lift the switches in the electrical box every time we went into our room. In the bathroom, there are cracked tiles and there is nowhere to hang one’s towels. The balcony never got cleaned. A complete audit needs to be done of this so-called four-star hotel. In its day it must have been magnificent, but it really needs some tender loving care now. Also, because the breakfast room is run by a separate company, there is literally not one minutes grace come 10 am. Be clear the tables and all the produce and make you feel guilty for being a few minutes late. They also switch off the coffee machines and make you feel most unwelcome. There is no soap in the public lavatory. Today is that I’m aware of. Nobody is checking on housekeeping or maintenance and this must be done if the hotel is to keep a four-star rating. It is superbly positioned but that will not be enough for disgruntled customers all of whom have told me they will not return.

Pros: This hotel has the potential to be something so great but unfortunately there are a lot of items which let the hotel down and that was more than apparent when we spoke to other guests staying in the hotel at the same time. For one, I had a really bad back and the lift to the pool was not functioning. I don't think it has been functioning for quite some time. I had to struggle up and down the stairs to get to the pool. Secondly, there are no facilities for drink service and the coffees we did order, the poor gentleman who organised them for us, had to climb the same stairs up and down. My daughter whilst in the pool area, tripped on the drain webbing surrounding the pool, she cut her leg. I informed reception of this and the receptionist was helpful but could not solve the maintenance issue. We placed a lounge chair over the damaged area so no one else got hurt. Breakfast was terrible. The first breakfast we had, there was mouldy bread on the buffet. No variety in the breakfast whatsoever and everything tasted stale. This was so disappointing. The hotel in general is in disrepair and needs a lot of attention. We accidentally walked into corridors in the lower levels where rooms are being updated but doors were not shut and therefore we could see into these rooms. Finally, the kind receptionist who was very nice and helpful got sacked by the manager as we checked out. She was very upset and I don't blame her as the manager was incredibly rude and unappreciative of her. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel even though the outlook and setting of this hotel are incredible.

Cons: This hotel is very shabby and rundown. The air conditioner in our room was an old clunker that was so noisy, we couldn't use it. It was over 30 degrees and there were mosquitoes so having to leave the window open for air wasn't great. We were in a "deluxe/superior" room but only given one pillow each, one roll of toilet paper and one very tiny piece of soap to use for three days and the shower hook was broken. They came by to make up our room in the middle of the afternoon when people typically are taking a break before dinner and never bothered to come back again when they found our room occupied which they should have been aware of as all keys are left at the front desk when you leave your rooms. When we tried to check out early to catch a ferry (even though the front desk was open 24/7) we had to go down to the kitchen to find the desk clerk. This was a beautiful hotel at one point in time but it has been sadly neglected. The paint was peeling, rips in the fabric, dead flowers in the pots on the balcony, sconces almost falling off the walls. This is definitely not a four star hotel and not worth the nightly rate we were charged.

Cons: I didn’t like the room on my arrival but the manager has upgraded me with a small extra payment The elevator to the pool was off and the safety box was not installed in the closet. This hotel could be the diamond of Taormina as its location is unique and everything inside painting s, furniture , wall papers, doors , floors , tiles and marbles are madeof high value materials.

Cons: Parts of the hotel needs updating, our first room wasn’t acceptable so they moved us to a better room. Needs more staff as the current staff were multi tasking. Pool didn’t look clean and the lift down to it wasn’t working either. Pool bar closed as was the gym. It could be a fabulous hotel but it’s splendour has faded.

Cons: The bed wasn’t very comfortable. It was two singles pushed together. Woke up with a very sore back. Elevator down to pool not working. Drinks and snacks at the pool are a ridiculous price and pool did not look that clean.

Cons: Dreadful hotel. One of our rooms actually had termites in the wooden frame. It was kept together by paint only and when we scratch it with the key you could see thousands of them. We complained and initially they wanted to bug spray and give us another room the next day but when we refused to go back in the room we showed them a picture of the termites. Then they realised it was a no go. The pool was unclean and cloudy and the lift to the pool was (still) broken. The rest of the hotel was unkept with paint and bits of plasterboard falling down and left for days on the floor. Such a pity as the place has potential if someone cared and was willing to invest.
