Pros: This was one of the nicest inn’s my husband and I have ever stayed at! It was far enough off the main drag that we didn’t have listen to the noise of cars and tours and everything else! The room was super clean and very comfortable! We had a shared deck with only other room on our floor which was really relaxing to sit and have a cocktail. The free breakfast was delicious! The staff members we’re very accommodating and really nice! They even left a bottle of champagne for us when we checked in to celebrate our Anniversary. The grounds were beautiful as well! With a pool, bean bag toss, 2 fire pits, happy hour they also had a grounds tour because everything in St. Augustine has history! We will definitely be visiting The Collector Inn again!!

Location can't be beat at the end of St. George St that is a pedestrian friendly strolling delight with shops, music and plenty of bars and restaurants.

Pros: The location and drive were good for us. The Hotel was very nice but ridiculously overpriced for what was offered. Comparing this "resort" to ones in Orlando and Las Vegas that I frequently visit, there was no comparison. Casa Monica had no pools, no golf, no tennis and so forth. It is not that I care, I just don't want to have to pay the rates they charged. I paid $800 for 2 nights. This place was a 2 star hotel at 5 star rates.

Cons: Thermostat problem on the AC. It was kinda warm in the room. AC ten p said 69 degrees but that definitely was not the case. The restaurant was staffed by one girl. Although she did her best, it took her quite some time to prepare each customers food.

Cons: The AC unit (a mini split) needs to be cleaned. The room had a terrible musty smell. The shower faucet must be broken. We had a hard time getting warm water for a shower. Stayed cold sometimes or took a good 5 minutes to heat up to a manageable temperature. Some area rugs would be good to use before climbing into bed.

Pros: Having stayed at this hotel location as recommended by a friend in the past, the location is absolutely AMAZING for being in St. Augustine. Parking availability at the hotel makes it worth every penny as you can walk to almost anywhere from the hotel.
Cons: I have stayed in this hotel once before and will definitely stay again but next time I may bring a swiffer wet mop for the floor. Upon exiting the shower with barely damp feet, the floors were very dirty to the point of leaving foot tracks in the room.

Cons: The hotel is right in front of active train tracks so we could hear the train during the day and night. The hotel is set on a main road so there's also a lot of traffic and traffic noise at night. Definitely bring your earplugs.

Cons: Denny's restaurant rents space from Day's Inn and it is between the hotel rooms and the pool/office area. To go to the pool, you have to walk past Denny's back door area which is dirty. Also, an unused conference room needs new blinds and cleaned.

The location is a bit of a walk (1.5 - 2 miles) from the central attractions in St Augustine, but it was still feasible, and although the property is located on a major road, my room, which faced the street, was very quiet. Free parking is always a good thing as well.

Cons: My bed had bed bugs in it. I was being bitten, then I looked around and in the bed and found many bed bugs and took video. I had to move rooms at midnight. I would really like to be reimbursed for this hotel stay.

Cons: Although generally a solid corporate-style hotel, this individually owned property is showing some signs of neglect and creeping dowdiness. The management could improve maintenance on the physical plant (take care of the many areas of chipped paint, rusty and leaky bathroom fixtures, stained carpets, worn-out door dampers). They should also train all front desk staff in courteous guest relations - some were better at this than others. Finally, put a water cooler in the fitness room, for goodness sake!

Cons: i normally stay in hilton brand hotels due to their hilton honors program. however, due to this trip being for a celebration of life i took the advice of some local aquaintances and also wanted to stay where other people that were attending the services that chose this property as well so we could do some extra visiting and also to help with the service if necessary. those people left the hotel because it was so bad. i was not willing to give up the money i had prepaid for the stay if i couldn't get my money back, so we decided to stay even though it was not to our standard. the room smelled, especially the heater, the window didn't open for fresh air, it looked like there was mold & smelled of it, the curtains had holes & stains, and the towels were not white. (to mention a few) it seems the place is in need of some major upgrading because it's old. the staff was nice & breakfast was ok.

Cons: When we arrived, our room did not have a chair to sit in leaving only the bed for that purpose. When we asked for a chair, we were told all chairs had been removed because they were very dirty and needed to be replaced. They offered and we accepted to move to another room that had a sofa but it was not placed in a convenient place for viewing the TV. On our second night, the toilet stopped up . When my husband called the desk, he was told there was no one to come and help. When he went to the desk, he was given a plunger so that he could take care of the problem himself which he did. We have a video of this. After that, the toilet never worked properly and on our last night there the chain on the flushing mechanism broke. We reported this to the desk and they offered to move us again. we declined since it was our last night there. We asked several times to speak to the owner/manager but he never contacted us. When we asked for some compensation for our trouble, we were told that because we booked through a 3rd party, there could be no $$refund.

Pros: To my surprise this location is the old Howard Johnson. Funny thing my husband & I had planned to come back next year and stay at the Howard Johnson now VILLA 1565. This weekend was special and the the staff made it even more special. My Aunt celebrated her 70th birthday and my Best Friend celebrated her 49th birthday. I requested one of the renovated rooms and I was not disappointed. We walked into our room with beds decorated with happy birthday decorations and a cake made out of towels with candles. HUGE HIT!! I must say Jennya ( check-in was so smooth & fabulous), Simone( thank you for the thoughtful gesture you ROCK) Lexy( trolley & check-out smooth and fabulous)& Noel (maintenance/store) WERE ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS.!! THANK YOU ALL FOR TREATING US LIKE FAMILY! P.s. guess where our next girls trip stay will be....

The location is next door to major attractions like the Old Jail and the Fountain of Youth. If you do not mind the walk you are not really too far from The Castillo de San Marcos and St. George St. shops. Staff are friendly.

Cons: Interior of our particular room, though spacious with a kitchenette, could have used a bit of a touch-up. To be fair to the management it may be a work in progress since they have done so much with the exterior. If they threw in some cutlery and some plates and cups for the cabinet it would have been a nice touch. No coffee maker but you can grab some at the main office, Wifi. works but I found that we were constantly required to sign in
