Cons: The Executive chef needs to learn how to get a brigade together. Dined twice in the main restaurant. On the second night the majority of the diners waited endlessly for their courses to arrive. Obviously a big break down. Any Chef, worth their title, should have been in view and pologizing for their ineptitude. The only blip on the radar but it was a massive one that tarnished 3 incredible nights.

The Bécquer Hotel, is located in the historical and commercial center of the city, next to the Guadalquivir River, just 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral, Giralda, Barrio de Santa Cruz and a step away form the Barrio de Triana. With very easy access to buses and a private garage for hotel guests.
There are 134 rooms fully equipped with private bathroom, plasma TV, WIFI, minibar, safe, air conditioning or heating (depend on season), laundry service, free coffee/tea maker in the room, room service, etc. We also offer: I-Pad, laptop, DVD player: free of charge (subject to availability).
The Hotel offers a snack bar (English style). The hotel also has meeting rooms, fully equipped with free WIFI, loudspeakers and audiovisuals.
Outdoor swimming pool, terrace and solarium, with wonderful views of the Cathedral and the Giralda (Open from June 1st to October 31st).
All this, together with our unique personalized service make the Hotel Becquer probably your best option in the center of Seville.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful in helping us navigate Seville as well as rent a car so we could venture to the coast.
Cons: We booked this particular hotel because of the pool and rooftop options and when we arrived we found that it was closed until the end of June. Perhaps of no fault to the hotel, but the closure of this facility was definitely detrimental to the enjoyment of our stay and was not advertised very clearly when we booked the hotel.

Had to call the front desk to get the AC turned on. Sometimes it was turned on and other times nothing happened. When it was turned on it was turned off a few hours later prompting another call to the front desk.

Pros: I liked the location because it was right where the action was.
Cons: It was old but it was not nicely renovated. The rooms especially the floors appeared untidy and unclean, the old pipes were showing. . Overall, the atmosphere gave me an icky feeling. The walls were very thin, you could here shouting outside till the wee hours of the morning and you can here the very minute noise from the other guests inside the hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable andthe pillows were a joke, very thin overused and flat.

Cons: I don't have anything negative to say but there are a few things I wish I knew before I booked because for some people these could be deal breakers. If you have mobility issues or can't climb stairs easily this is NOT the place for you. I mentioned the place is like a maze, which I loved but when I had 8 bags (2 weeks worth of luggage for travel around Spain) and couldn't find my room for 45 min. There is no rhyme or reason to the layout of this place so some rooms are up around winding hallways and hidden passage ways & there are no signs. Not handicap friendly! The other thing is that there is only wifi in the one common area lobby - so if you need to work or don't feel like splurging on an international data plan, you'll be disconnected for most of your stay as a lot of surround places don't have wifi either.

Pros: the hotel was perfect except for the noice made when doors
are closed, even when we re careful....
we came for a half marathon race and the geographical
position was perfect for our race and for getting everywhere around
town by foot
the reception was perfect, especially with the very helpful
and friendly lauren...and the nice guy at breakfast but
i failed to get his name
Cons: nothing in particular. just the noisy doors.

Pros: The staff was very helpful, the room was big with a nice bathroom. Very confortable beds, safe available in the room for free. Even if not in the very center of Seville, neighbourhood is very nice, near the Alameda de Hercules.

Pros: Exceptional staff. Friendly, receptive, and very helpful. Located in quiet, mostly residential neighborhood. Easy walk to food and drink.
Large outdoor courtyard with comfortable seating. Wifi available, although not accessible from our room. Small bar, but not much of a scene during our stay.
Area consists of many narrow streets, but very walkable. Easy access to C3 bus that runs a circle route to centro Sevilla and back to the nearby Macarena Cathedral. Alameda de Hercules and many restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: Avoid a ground floor room if possible. The cleaning crew's meeting area seemed to be near our room and was a little noisy in the mornings.

Pros: Although I was first sent to a room that was actually occupied (I think the person jumped into the bathroom when I entered!) when I was assigned a second room, it was very clean. I am very picky about that so I was impressed. The room was very clean but the lobby and hallways smelled like exhaust.

Pros: Although I was first sent to a room that was actually occupied (I think the person jumped into the bathroom when I entered!) when I was assigned a second room, it was very clean. I am very picky about that so I was impressed. The room was very clean but the lobby and hallways smelled like exhaust.
Cons: I was initially sent to a room that was occupied! I thought the "Do not disturb" on the door was a mistake since I had a key for the room...but when I opened it, the bed was open and there was a drink on the table. I think the person had jumped into the bathroom when i opened the door. I ran quickly back to the lobby.
No internet!!!!! I had wi-fi in the evening and then when I returned from dinner to book the rest of my travels it was gone. Reception told me to use the public computer in the lobby instead which angered me. At least they do have that as a backup but for the amount I paid for the room they should have wi-fi as advertised.
The lobby and hallways were full of exhaust fumes it seems like. I avoided using the AC just because it would move the stinky air into my room. I opened the windows instead.
The room service menu is very scanty and what they do have is not good. I ordered a sandwhich, pretty gross but did the job. I set it in the hallways when I was done and within minutes I noticed it was covered in ants. That being said, the room and bathroom was very clean.

Cons: Old and smelly rooms. Terrible parking, impossible to get in or out. Terrible breakfast. Ran out of everything, and when asked for food, we were yelled at in Spanish that more would be coming. Left without eating. We do not recommend this so called hotel.
