Pros: The property is decidedly a Grande Dame. You almost feel underdressed if not attired in formal wear. However it a far from stuffy. The staff are exquisite, knowledgeable and charming. Cons: Our room was right next to the elevators and therefore there was quite a lot of noise outside our door at night making sleep difficult. Also, not the hotels fault, but we waited an hour to get a taxi to the train station this morning and missed our train to Madrid. We ended up having to walk half way to Santa Justa. One of your very kind bellmen walked with us until he found a cab that would drive us!

Cons: But very expensive hotel not worthable for that price. At the Breakfast there was not delicious tea varities for drink. Ordinary tea bags. Even coffee and milk given by waiters are not hot smells vanillia .breakfast also average not suitable for that class hotel. I did not liked. Even in the room was no keettle no tea bags they bring when requested . I would not return.

Cons: The Executive chef needs to learn how to get a brigade together. Dined twice in the main restaurant. On the second night the majority of the diners waited endlessly for their courses to arrive. Obviously a big break down. Any Chef, worth their title, should have been in view and pologizing for their ineptitude. The only blip on the radar but it was a massive one that tarnished 3 incredible nights.

There are 134 rooms fully equipped with private bathroom, plasma TV, WIFI, minibar, safe, air conditioning or heating (depend on season), laundry service, free coffee/tea maker in the room, room service, etc. We also offer: I-Pad, laptop, DVD player: free of charge (subject to availability).

Cons: - Elevator sometimes awkward (the last two days we took the stairs to be sure). - Water not strong enough for shower but it seems to be a general issue in Andalusia. - The recommended so called “free” tour during which we spent the first 45 minutes to go picking participants from 3 hotels and which in the middle of the tour proposed payable guided tours at “special” prices (which may not be so special).

Cons: Unlike some of Hotels, change towels every day and have tissues in bathroom. But this hotel doesn’t change the towels every day, and not have tissues. For two days, the cleaner didn’t give hand towels in both our rooms.

Cons: We booked this particular hotel because of the pool and rooftop options and when we arrived we found that it was closed until the end of June. Perhaps of no fault to the hotel, but the closure of this facility was definitely detrimental to the enjoyment of our stay and was not advertised very clearly when we booked the hotel.

Cons: Shuttle bus is not necessary, as both city and airport bus (and suburban rail) services are frequent, cheap and right outside. All the rental car companies are either in-house or very nearby. No suggestions.

Pros: Really nice welcome at Reception when checking in. We had x2 rooms, garage access for two nights and x2 dogs (small to medium sized). Rooms were very comfortable - Seville in January can be cold/cool out of the sunshine, so the ACs converting to warm and cool was really a massive plus (I like a cold room to sleep but a warm room the rest of the time). Location was great - dogs were walked down to the Plaza de España although there is a nearer park depending on your wake up time (in other words, check the park opening times and signs for dogs allowed on or off lead) but PdE is a magnificent spectacle and worth the effort to walk to in the morning. Hotel has been done up so looks the part - garage access can be busy but worth the charge for us with the dogs. Seville is an architectural joy and this hotel makes a great starting point for exploring.

We hadn't booked anything for christmas eve dinner and we were told by the reception staff that the tapas bars in the city would all be closed and that we should have booked something. We felt a little told off/stupid- And then managed to book us two places at a restaurant they knew. That was nice of them......but it was nonsense there were lots of places to go....loads of tapas bars open and we found a great place 1st try. So disappointed and when we explored the area we found a lot of great hotels for same price. Giralda lacked in any atmosphere and would not recommend. Sorry and disappointing.

Pros: Breakfast OK. Friendly staff. Small and clean room. I saw some travellers mentioned that the location is walking distance to all attractions. Well, that depends on your own definition of "walking distance". It is about 15-20 minute walk to cathedral and royal palace. But it took me about 40 minutes to Plaza de Espana. Having said that, Seville is a charming place. I don't mind wandering around!
Cons: I just checked my credit card bill. It seems that I was charged twice for the stay! I need to talk to the hotel about this. They don't provide a kettle in the room. I only drink HOT water in winter. I found it is inconvenient to come down to the lobby when I want some drink. Maybe this is only a problem for me.

The photos that have been posted by others are accurate. If we come to Sevilla again, we will try to stay here again. Be forewarned that it is at least a 12-minute walk to some major sites (eg, Alcazar), so those who do not like walking as much may wish to cab, but we thought everything was perfect about this hotel. If you choose to bring a car, either be a very adroit driver or make sure it is a small car; the streets inside the city walls are very narrow. We did not try the food, so we can't comment on that.

Cons: Parking is probably a highly priced commodity in Sevilla, but the parking fee (18 euros per day) could have been slightly cheaper, given that we never touched the car again until we left. The wifi was slightly slower at some points during the evening, but having stayed at places where the "free wifi" is so slow that it basically doesn't work, I appreciated that the wifi at this hotel actually worked.

Pros: There wasn't much to like here. The location was the highlight, not in the most touristy area, the location allowed us to get a taste of where a local might live - but with easy access to the sites of Seville. Staff was reasonably friendly.
Cons: The room I stayed in (room 111) had a HORRENDOUS odor. This smelled to me like an unaddressed water drainage (sewer?) issue. The front desk staff sent housekeeping to 'fix' the issue - but this odor could not be cleaned away with a mop and bucket. Something was very wrong with this room and it was my impression that the staff knew about the odor, yet left it in service for customer use. SHAMEFUL. In addition, it was very noisy with hotel operations such as construction and housekeeping activities, VERY early in the morning. I certainly cannot recommend this hotel to any traveler!

Cons: There was no bar or restaurant opening for lunch and dinner. Parking is very expensive and the hotel website says there is complimentary water in the fridge but we were charged for a bottle of water. The hotel is outside the walls so it’s a good 25 min walk to get to the nearest decent restaurant.

Cons: Avoid if you are going on holidays and staying more than 2 days. The room was dated, not clean, with a soft bed and VERY thin walls. I woke up at 8am thinking someone is hoovering in my room. The breakfast was ok but all 5 mornings I was sat surrounded by loads of dirty plates and had to walk around to find cutlery and a cup. Staff didn’t seem to care at all. AVOID. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel. And no tea/coffee set in a room which you normally find in 4 star hotels

I was informed that we have already paid the night, so it is impossible to cancel the 1st night, however, they confirm that we can come when we want in the future on the condition that there is a room available. It is nice on this point. - The bed is confortable.
