Pros: This is a completely charming and absolutely delightful hotel. The best thing is it is traditionally Austrian and hasn't become a sleek modern hotel. However the conveniences are very modern and very lovely. Staff exceptional and the food was delicious.

The restraint is fantastic. Don't go to it if you want new fusion type food. The menu is very traditional. Each meal was prepared as if your Gran muter was in the kitchen herself. ( I don't know the German word for grand mother, I'm just guessing.)
My wife couldn't have been happier with the stay.

Pros: We were enthusiastically greeted when we arrived. Two of our three rooms were ready for early check-in as we had requested. As soon as we mentioned our names the staff immediately knew the details our our reservations and that we had three rooms booked - it's like they were ready and waiting to greet us like returning family (even though it was our first stay). Everything about this hotel was first class! We've stayed at some beautiful resorts and hotels in the past, but this was our favorite! Aside from being a fabulous facility, the locations was perfect! Right in the middle of all the restaurants, shops and sightseeing!

Cons: The bedroom window to the pedestrian street was not as sound proof as it could be simply for later at night when people were a bit louder because we are not people who are out partying late which is something fun to do in Prague for many people but it wasn’t too bad. We have definitely been in Boston and NYC with louder! It’s totally soundproof between rooms.

Cons: Parking was not convenient by the hotel, but the hotel took care of it all with free valet parking, so this was not a major issue.

Cons: The hotel is located on commercial street of the city, an area with restricted car access. Consequently, I lost at least 30 minutes trying to identify the address where I could not reach by car. Finally I called the hotel and they indicate me a different address for car navigation and so I got behind the hotel. Then I realized that the hotel has no parking and I was sent to a public parking (relatively close to ~ 200 meters). A very unpleasant experience, amplified by the fact that rain in that day and walk with luggage from the public parking to the hotel it was not the favorite part of a holliday day.

The room was spacious and clean and incredibly reasonable for how great it was. The staff was super friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. The sky bar was a perfect place to retreat for a drink or 2 to recharge before going back out in to the city. Would absolutely stay here again when visiting Salzburg!

Cons: Underground parking is approx. 200 meters from the hotel and there is no place to stop the car in front of the hotel so you have to go with all the suitcases from the hotel to the garage. No help or assistance with the parking or the luggage is provided or offered. The hotel is quite big and rather impersonal.

Cons: At the end of a long day, the hotel was further than my liking from the Alstadt, but that was because we were walking close to 10 miles a day and eating a full Austrian meal for dinner. An easy and cheap cab ride easily nullified my issue.

Pros: We were delighted with the loft space (despite the lack of lift!). It was clean and very bright with lots of facilities including fridge and dishwasher. The space was well laid out and we loved the beds which were incredibly comfortable - we slept very well. Having access to the downstairs lounge area with the provision of proper coffee and breakfast supplies was a really nice touch and much appreciated. Staff were incredibly helpful and even when there was a problem it was swiftly and helpfully resolved. Location was excellent.

Cons: The bathroom for our apartment was meant to be an external private bathroom but had been used when we arrived and was used by others during our stay. The upstairs room was not particularly clean but I suspect this is due to the set up of the loft bedroom, making it more difficult to clean.

Cons: Of the 7 accommodations that we stayed in during our holiday this one was the highest rated, but also definitely the worst - so there seems to be something wrong here. Our room was noisy and uncomfortable. In my opinion the place needed to be remodeled for use as a hotel, instead of rather amateurishly adapted. Our main gripes were: - Noise: the floor is creaking and the walls are thin. You can hear people walking and talking in other rooms, till they finally go to sleep. - Room is not well appointed and uncomfortable: the bed is slightly smaller than normal Queen Size and placed in the corner - so from one side one has to climb out of bed, and there is no or bedside table or night light. Also there is no proper closet, just an improvised 'open closet' - The 'bathroom': in our room this was in fact just a toilet with a shower head and a foldable shower screen added to it. After setting up the shower screen there is a space of about 50x50 cm for showering. And when you've taken a shower, the toilet floor will be wet for a few hours. To make it even worse, the shower head is attached too close to the wall (see photo), so that it can hardly be turned or adjusted. And I almost forgot, one thing even makes it worse: the shower is time based. When you open the tap, you get 2 minutes of hot water. If you have not finished, you can get an extra 2 minutes (as often as you want), but you CANNOT CLOSE the tap. So if you just needed 15 seconds extra, you have to wait in the confined space for almost 2 more minutes (getting out with the tap running would cause the toilet area and part of the room to get really wet).

Desk staff was quite helpful including warming up our leftover pizza from another restaurant and seating us near the window. We enjoyed the outdoor rooftop dinner of beef stroganoff and spätzle. Cons: They claim to be a 4 star hotel, but don't actually meet the standards of a 3 star one. Having said that, what follows is completely independent. The concierge. He said he was the hotel manager; yet, he had the worst possible attitude. He wanted to charge me 16 Euro for losing a parking ticket he gave me. They use a third party owned parking space. He gave me a ticket (the usual ticket you get when you check in and out, and use for paying). On my way to the parking I lost that ticket so I requested a new one at the parking itself. When I came to the hotel and informed I had lost the one he gave me, he said he would charge me 16 Euros for it. However, the ticket did not state that it had any value and that it would be charged in case of loss. All this brought me to an unnecessary and unpleasant argument with this person. End of the story. I clearly stated I would not pay those 16 Euros; the following day he acted as if nothing had happened and did not apologise. It is fair to say that he then gave me a ticket with which I got 10% discount on the parking price, but the damage had been done.

Cons: This hotel is SO NOISY. The street outside turned into party central early evening and raged until morning. That’s one thing when you can keep your Windows shut but when it’s 30+ C, you can’t lead you suffocate. This hotels solution to cooling the room in sweltering heat was a tiny desk fan (10cm, seriously). Too hot and too noisy to sleep. Never again and I honestly think they owe us some credit back for the misery and lack of notice on the situation.

Pros: GREAT underground parking with an elevator straight to the rooming area, friendly staff, spotlessly clean room, comfy mattresses, great bathroom and overall very good place to sleep in.
Cons: It was a bit too far from the city centre, you had to walk for about 10min to reach it. Also, our room had two separete beds joined together instead of a twin one.

The hotel is a short walk from many places to eat and all the Salzburg highlights Seriously, you can't go wrong staying at this hotel. The breakfast was very good, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses, breads etc. I'm dairy free, and they had oat milk one morning, so I was very pleased. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant and the rooms are roomy and beautifully furnished. I highly recommend.

The staff said the parking underneath the hotel was full, however when we went to the garage there were still spots available !! Probably for very very very good friends. The only parking is 100m away from the hotel (so hassles with luggage) and need to pay extra on top of the expensive hotel. Then to hear that breakfast is not included and that we again have to pay extra. We ordered the room with park view, but we only saw the windows of another building

And we add one bed for adult,the bed looks like a folding military bed with the wide of about 1.2 meter,which is a little harder than the original bed. We love all 3 beds. And the hotel let us leave luggage for 2 days after check-out,which is so nice to our trip.

We had a great view of the mountain. The breakfast was tasty, and good for vegans with a fresh selection of juices, including some unusual like beetroot juice. Also, there are a lot of nice restaurants (some from Tripadvisor Top10) around, 200-600m distance. If you're travelling with little kids, please check the perfect playground right behind the hotel, turn left two times when exiting the main entrance

Cons: There is a bus that goes to the hotel but the bus is not very reliable and only runs every 20 minutes on the weekend. Staff at the reception was not very friendly. There was a kettle in the room but in order to use it we needed to unplug a lamp!

Cons: The parking is paid, costs 13 Euros. Was quite unexpected at the moment of check-out, and nobody warned us at the check-in it's paid. At some point, our kid got stuck inside the automatic rotating door and we had to "save" him manually forcing to press the button inside.

Cons: Lack of parking TV didn't work and staff couldn't fix it before we left Decor and furniture is severely dated for a "4 star" hotel Staff were not helpful when asked for help or questions about things to see and do in Salzburg

Location. Very close to old down town. One tram (1) from train station to right in front of the hotel.
Cons: Bathtub was dry old. Wifi not too fast.

Cons: Quality not as described. moment walked in, knew carpet was old and dirty. Bed was very soft. The bathroom had a lot of problems: door fell off hinge, shower sprayer hose worn-out that cant control direction of flow, dirty sink, holes/screws on walls, ...

Pros: Location is just on the other side of the tunnel. A 5 minute walk into the heart of Salzburg...can't imagine a better location for the price.
Cons: Of course no a/c, so you had to leave the windows open and so the street noise was a problem until 4:30am, when the loud talkers finally called it a night
