Pros: The location was perfect - near a lot of shops, art galleries', restaurants, and cafes. It was in the heart of the city with the beautiful architecture and river with the cobble stone roads. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We brought our two Shih Zhu dogs and they hotel was very accommodating.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, very special and with its own taste and soul. The location is perfect to view the old city, enjoy walking and great food. The breakfast was amazing! Pros: We booked a standard room and we pleasantly surprised to find out upon arrival that were were upgraded to a Junior Suite. The room was big, bright and clean. Every staff member we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choices. The hotel is centrally located and a short walk to everything in Old Quebec City. We loved it.

Pros: This was my fourth stay in the Auberge Ste-Pierre and exceeded my (already high) expectations. It's been renovated but with only the best, most discreet items like exquisite bathrooms, incredible bed linens, remarkably friendly and helpful staff who engaged us with useful directions for restaurants and the new public market. Walking around this part of town is always charming, no matter what the season, but it's also a perfect launching off location for a good long walk up up into the beautiful city. The hotel is completely a treat to return to after a hike or a long drive or...after a year away from it.

The lobby was decorated with contemporary comfortable sofas, open spaces with burning candles, wine bar, Nespresso coffee machines, wood and stone walls. The well-designed shower, bath and guest room were spacious and tastefully decorated. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I enjoyed. Additionally, our room had huge windows with a beautiful view. Adjoining the hotel was a restaurant with great food including breakfast (which was included with our room) and a full bar. This was a very enjoyable stay.

Cons: I didnt like that when i got there they messed up my booking i ended up with a smaller room the expected and if i didnt notice noone would of told me. And i had booked this room about 3 months in advance.... and they told me that next time for no mistakes to contact them directly instead of going on booking because when they do the transfer of info theres more mistakes. And the pillows are way too mushy no head support.

Pros: I was very pleased with this hotel. The room was large, comfortable, with a great chair for reading, a tea kettle, a comfy robe. Breakfast in the lobby by a gentle fire was delicious (croissants, cheese, yogurt) and I drank café au lait from the lobby machine and ate the offered fruit all day. I also used the fitness room happily. I loved the location (two minutes from the #11 bus and a 10-minute walk from the Chateau Frontenac).

Pros: I was very pleased with this hotel. The room was large, comfortable, with a great chair for reading, a tea kettle, a comfy robe. Breakfast in the lobby by a gentle fire was delicious (croissants, cheese, yogurt) and I drank café au lait from the lobby machine and ate the offered fruit all day. I also used the fitness room happily. I loved the location (two minutes from the #11 bus and a 10-minute walk from the Chateau Frontenac).
Cons: The only two negatives were an inability to lower the temperature in the room - I like to sleep in a cold room - and a last-day problem with my door key which necessitated three trips to reception to get into my room. But I will be back!

Pros: The location is perfect for tourism in the old city. The bell staff took care of our car and luggage efficiently and were very helpful. They park in the underground lot below city hall right across the street. You can self park at lower cost but the lot fills up. Hotel is old but very well maintained.

Lighting in the room would be better if all lights including bedside lamps weren't connect to the same switch and if the USB chargers on bedside lamps continued to work once the light was off.

Cons: Two things... 1) This is so minor, we were their in the winter, I wish our room had a tray to put our boots in so the melted snow didn’t make the carpet wet. 2) There were times that room service wasn’t available, even for an afternoon coffee or glass of wine. I wish that at a minimum this level of room service was available all day.

Wanted to charge 600$ up front on a credit card at check in and then give thr balance back on the card when you checked out. Had a bit of an issue because I wanted to pay with a debit card and not credit. Gave me some fuss about it but then accepted. They should be upfront when booking that they plan to take a extra deposit and make you pay during check in. There was construction going on in the lobby.

Pros: We really loved the location. We had chosen this hotel because of the location for old Quebec. We also chose this hotel because we wanted to stay at a hotel with a hot tub. The staff was great as well. Unfortunately, on arrival we were fairly disappointed with most everything else. The staff was very nice , the guy doing the valet came to help us with getting into the building. He was really nice and helpful. PS Stay in the main building. Had a good nights sleep.

Cons: On arrival we were fairly disappointed with the room and building that we were originally in. When getting to our room we were unable to open the door to the building we were in and the key ended up breaking off in the door so we had to walk back in the cold to the main building to get another key. The staff was very nice about it and the guy doing the valet came to help us with the new key and getting into the building. He was really nice and helpful. Once inside there was a very potent moldy/wet scent. We thought okay well lets see the room. Once in the room it was even worse. It was old and run down. It was not the cleanest. We sat on the bed and it felt like sitting on a wooden bench. We decided we could not stay the night there so we called the main desk to ask if there was anything better in the main building. In order to stay in the main building it was $20 more. We said yes, anything else would be better than that bed, We got out room it was on the fifth floor. Once we got to our new room it was much better. It was nice because the hot tub is also in the main building. Also bed was much better. We had a good night sleep but considering the headache it was not worth it. We wanted to have a nice Jacuzzi bath in the room but the tub was broken. We went to the hot tub and it was full. We told the staff the bath was not working and they offered us the hot tub but it was now 11pm at night and we were planning on going out for the night life. We were offered no compensation for the broken room. There was also fresh sticky wine glass stains on the side of the bath like it was never cleaned from the prior guests. When we looked under the bed there was a thick layer of dust and dirt... there was even a used band aid under the bed. It was not very assuring that it was ever properly cleaned. After everything we left the next morning they charged my credit card twice with two different amounts for the same room. Was definitely not happy with that.

It was not in the hotel I reserved and paid for and I was told when I checked in to go down the street, up an alley and into another hotel with a shabby, noisy room. After one night I left and hotel refused to refund my prepaid second night.

Cons: We booked a double, expecting a two bed room. What we got when we arrived was a double bed and a roll away (which felt like a medieval torture device). We lodged our concern with the front desk who indicated that they have no true double rooms and by the way, we owe them $20/night for the additional bed. The conversation that followed was tense, though eventually we landed on a compromise, where the proprietor agreed to revise the hotel listing and we paid a reduced fee. The lesson as always is read the fine print.
