The location was great: right between two major streets, St. Jean & St. Louis, and close to the citadelle, parliment building and many little shops and restaurants. The indoor parking arrangement offered was very convenient.
Cons: I am a light sleeper so I woke up whenever people were talking in the corridor/stairwell.

Pros: We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in great part due to the amazing team at the Auberge Sainte-Antoine. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The hotel is well located in the lower city with easy access to the river front and the funicular to upper town. Madame Quay arranged multiple events for our group with great success. The entire staff were always courteous and knowledgable. Make sure to take advantage of the Penache Restaurant on the property for breakfast and dinner. I will be back!!

Cons: honestly nothing comes to mind. Panache can be viewed as expensive, with a limited menu, but the atmosphere and friendly waiters suit the hotel nicely. Guests have many other choices close by.

Cons: What I was very disappointed with was that the description of my booking provided by booking.com was not accurate:1. Booking.com said the luxury room which I spent extra for was 400 sq foot - room was barely 300 sq ft with a terrace outside. What the heck do I do with a terrace at -15 degree weather?? 2. The description said large bathroom with separate bathtub - not the case. It was a small bathroom and shower/bathtub were one. I noticed through the floorplan that the rooms on both sides of ours did have bigger bathrooms !! What's the point of providing that description to us if you do not deliver! 3. Booking.com said there was just provincial/federal taxes applied. A third tax was also applied to our bill. Very disappointing.

Cons: We stayed on the 7th floor, and it was still a bit loud (external noise from people on the street late at night, and also some internal noise from other guests in the hallway).

Pros: The lobby and guest room were modern and beautiful. The staff was especially welcoming and warm. The lobby was decorated with contemporary comfortable sofas, open spaces with burning candles, wine bar, Nespresso coffee machines, wood and stone walls. The well-designed shower, bath and guest room were spacious and tastefully decorated. The room had a Nespresso machine, which I enjoyed. Additionally, our room had huge windows with a beautiful view. Adjoining the hotel was a restaurant with great food including breakfast (which was included with our room) and a full bar. This was a very enjoyable stay.

Cons: Our room-included breakfast was not available until 8:00. Due to the late time breakfast was served, we could not avail ourselves of the amenity that was included with our room. There were a number of electronic devices in our room, which was nice, but it made operating the TV much more complicated.

Cons: Initially, we were offered an upgrade to one of the remodeled rooms, but we thought the window was very small and the room felt rather claustrophobic. So, we asked to be put back in the traditional decor, unrenovated rooms and found it to be much larger and comfortable with a double window and a great view. Of course, these two rooms (out of the 600 in the hotel) likely were not representative of all the remodeled/traditional room layouts. Just my experience.

There is a charge for every single thing... $16 a day for internet access is a joke, $36 a day for valet parking, $18 for a small pour cocktail at the bar. If I had it to do again, I'd stay somewhere else and visit the Chateau. Unless you are loaded and the money means nothing to you, I'd suggest the same.

He asked "Was I not given a pager before we were sent to the bar?" That manager was at the desk when we first arrived, he knew that no pagers were handed out; the desk clerk confirmed this. Shabby treatment!

Cons: The desk staff gave us some pretty questionable advice on what to do our first night in town...my idea of fun isn't taking a 30$ taxi ride to the suburbs to watch a parade for children, that no one else even attended. (for the record I am 28 and was visiting town with my 55 year old parents).
They also neglected to open the extra cot for which we paid 30$, I hurt my hand in the process and we nearly couldn't get in the door because it was in the way.

Pros: It was within walking distance of the upper and lower cities. The bed was comfortable. The kids loved the free wifi.
Cons: The hotel is at the corner of St. Pierre & Dalhousie - very noisy corner. We had a room on the back of the first floor - overlooking the PetroCanada station. It was very noisy with traffic and gas station noise. The second night, we were moved to the front (picturesque side) at our request, only to be disturbed by very loud music from the restaurant and bar immediately below. This was NOT a "Suite de Luxe Plus." It was not worth nearly $250.00/night. If you must stay here instead of somewhere in the upper town, then be sure to request a room on one of the upper floors. The first floor is awful.

Pros: The design of the room was lovely, good decor, accessibility to restaurants in the hotel. In the lower part of Old Quebec City, so we could wander through both the lower part (which has tons of shops) and take a 10 minute walk to get up into the shopping district of the Old city.
Cons: The hotel room was very dark, we almost needed a flaslight to see into the fridge. We didn't see any cleaning staff for our entire 3 day stay. To do the dishes it would have been nice to have a dish drying rack, and there were some supplies in the kitchen missing that we had to call for, but service was prompt. We didn't get any advice from the staff about what to do during our stay, so we had to ask staff of restaurants we went to etc.

We had our adult nephew with us, and this struck the right balance of family togetherness and privacy -- even having two TVs was a plus. The hotel's location was convenient to everything, yet our room was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The room layouts are well thought-out, including the spacious two-part bathroom. The decor and furnishings are elegant. Everything met and exceeded our expectations.
In a city of great restaurants, we actually had one of our best meals of the trip at Le Beffroi, the steakhouse in the hotel! The rain kept us in that night, but we did not regret it. It was a special occasion meal, and we rate the selections, service, atmosphere, and quality all very high -- in fact, along with being a very good experience, it was a very good value! Room service for breakfast (a time-saver) was also good quality, and surprisingly no more expensive than a comparable breakfast in a restaurant in town.

The kids enjoyed the pull out sofa bed in the separate sitting area (separated by glass doors from the bedroom area) and the jetted tub. The location is very convenient to the Old City and The Citadel. Both areas are just a short 10-15 minute walk. There is also a bus station behind the hotel if you are in need of public transportation.
There was a mini-fridge available for use which was spacious enough to hold the iPads and other gaming devices the kids use. There are plenty of mirrors in the bathroom as well as a magnifying mirror.

Cons: The parking garage has very narrow travel lanes with many tight turns. We had a minivan and ended up scraping into a wall due to the tight turn to enter the garage. The parking spots themselves are also very tight with a minivan. If you have anything larger than a small sedan, you may find the underground parking area a challenge to navigate. The maximum height is just slightly over 6 feet so that could also prove challenging to larger vehicles.
The lighting in the bathroom is a bit dim. We appreciated that there was a safe available in the room but found it's placement high in the closet inconvenient for an average height woman (I had to stand on a chair). I can't imagine how a wheelchair bound person would ever be able to reach that high without assistance.
Our room was on the same level as the pool and had a window facing the walkway. Unfortunately, we needed to keep the curtains closed for privacy as it was a busy area so this made our room dark for most of our stay.

There was no other choice, even for breakfast. The parking was very expensive for what it was: tight spots and very few of them when we arrived on Tuesday afternoon. The staff at the check-in/check-out never smiled. I found that odd.

Cons: We had breakfast at the restaurant and I had the lobster Benedict. The potatoes were stale and my eggs were full of egg shell. I let the waitress know and their solution was to discount 15%. The meal was over $20 and should have been removed.
There was a snow storm the day of checkisses out so I informed the FD that we may need to stay. When I went to check out around 2 pm, flight was departing, she said there would be no additional charge. Then she said because they made a new reservation that they would charge me $50 plus tax.
I think this is ridiculous. The hotel is well located with great views but is not modern or luxury but sterile. The food is over priced for the lack of quality of the food.

Cons: We specifically picked the Hilton for the view of the fireworks and the old city. We paid extra for it and were told when we got there that they had no more rooms left with that view?? Instead we were given probably the worst view in the hotel. The room was on the 4th floor looking over the heated pool.

Cons: We had a very bad experience at the hotel, but will detail what happened in the complaints email I will send separately. One thing that was missing: nowhere could we find any documentation or pamphlets or anyhing, either in the room or at the front desk, of things to do and see in the city. We were given one map, sponsored by a shop in Vieux Quebec. I was there with my husband and two kids, and we did not have any idea what to do and see.

Cons: Parking for a big pickup was difficult. It would be good for the front desk staff to still refer guests to the valet but to know if the guests have a big pickup to direct them to the 2 main places for parking.
We were told down and to the *left* which took us to a very tight underground parkade for $24 for 24 hours; however, there was a nice open parking lot to the *right* which was $16 for 24 hours.

Could use reupholstering, and pool was nice to have but water was a bit cloudy, and walk to dressing room chilly and used as a storage room. It was nice to have on a rainy day, but not super. Pros: Hotel Acadia is well situated near all restaurants and activities in old Quebec City. It is very quaint and reasonably priced. We were able to drive to this hotel and leave our car with the attendant for a small fee. We especially enjoyed the French cuisine in nearby restaurants.

Cons: Room was not in hotel I reserved. Room was noisy, cramped poorly laid out. It was not in the hotel I reserved and paid for and I was told when I checked in to go down the street, up an alley and into another hotel with a shabby, noisy room. After one night I left and hotel refused to refund my prepaid second night.

Cons: A very small room for the money. Our companions were in a room below grade with a window that could not be opened; they felt it was quite stuffy and claustrophobic.

Cons: Breafast arrangments , we were given breafast tokens to use at hotel around corner at sister hotel, service was shocking first day ok second day waited 50 minutes for breafast then left without receiving breafast complained to hotel arcadia lots of sympathy however no consolation prize and no rebate off the bill we ate at our own choice of venue for the rest of stay.
