Cons: This is my first review as I travel often. I work for ABC News and this was a very horrible experience!!! The first issue was the room was not ready at check in. We had to wait 2hrs for the room to be cleaned. The tv didn’t work, and the front desk wanted us to contact the tv company to fix the issue. That was the start of many issues. Second, the elevator did not work and the staff didn’t care. The hotel staff was so rude we requested an early checkout. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone!!! DO NOT STAY at this property. I requested a refund for the second stay they wouldn’t let us speak to a manager. The communication was beyond horrible!! It was so bad we took a loss and had no choice but to check out early. The room was dirty and the sheets had stains all over the bedding. Again, DO NOT STAY at this hotel.

I was afraid to take a shower, because it was ssooo dirty! it is not 30star hotel. I will not even give 1 star to it! The lamp in the toilet was blinking like at the discoteque and the staff did nothing to help us. Staff was not aatentive, not smily, they just didn't care about anything. The door of the toilet didn't close. Wallpapers were 3 cm from the walls. It is a peppergrass for 100 euro per night!!!

Pros: The Negresco is a lovely opulent hotel with fabulous art and sculptures dotted about. We were given a refurbished room with a lovely view of the sea which was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was good although there was a shower in the bath which was quite high and not that easy to get into. The housekeeping staff did a great job as the room was kept spotless with turndown at night. Breakfast was of a very high standard with a lot of choice and we ate outside which was lovely.

Unfortunately the bath tub drain cover was not working so it required a nail file to remove the cover to drain the tub.This was repeated every day of our stay without the staff fixing it! The room was not cleaned on returning in the afternoon and we were told by reception that we had to call for cleaning !The wall tiles had black mould which Is really unacceptable in a hotel of this class.also,our room had chipped paint around doors and peeling wallpaper trim.All in all,This hotel needs revamping.On the plus side, the location is the best in Nice.

Being located across from the Promenade Anglais meant we could literally exit our hotel door and begin our day walking along this magnificent waterfront. Great restaurants and cafes in the area. Cons: The staff were very poor in responding to complaints - no apologies ever.My room smelled of mould ,to discover next day that there was a furnace type room opening into my closet,which did not have a door.On complaining ,I was given an excuse instead of an apology. Also,after staying 3 days,I was stopped by a security doorman on entering the lobby ,to question me if I was staying at the hotel. Very very upsetting and again ,after telling him yes ,no apology. Good staff should know the guests and be carful before causing an embarrassing moment. The service at breakfast was very poor and the buffet layout difficult to manage due to the tightness of the restaurant.

Cons: The lift takes you to your floor and then my room was only accessible by going down 8 steps. With my heavy case this was not easy. The hotel seemed to be split-level on every floor. Rather pointless having a lift and then having to use stairs to access the room.

The staff were all courteous, friendly and went the extra mile to give us the highest possible level of service esp Brice at the concierge who booked our restaurant and tour reservations and he was always pleasant and has a ready warm smile every single time. We felt like we were VIPs. The hotel amenities were superb. Love the bar and the in house restaurant as well. Will definitely go back and stay at this Hyatt the next time I am back in Nice. Highly recommended!

Cons: We experienced the worst hotel experience that my wife and I have ever had - From the 5 hour wait to get to our room (admit arrived on early flight at 10.30 and not given keys until 330 (realise check in was at 3 but surely some priority could have been exercised especially when we explained the suituation but no and I mean none what so ever empathy was shown and we had to even in the end come to reception for the 3rd time as a promised phone call when the room was ready was not even forth coming . The room we booked was a king room and from the moment we checked in at 1030 I knew there was going to be a problem as the receptionist said we only had a room with single beds at first and when I pointed out it was a king she went quiet and said they would work it out - well they did not and have a the room with the explanation that that is what a king bed is !! Please !!

The staff wasn’t attentive enough, room was dark and was not nice for 5 star in Nice , no a little sun go to our room , we did not want to be there . Breakfast wasn’t as a 5star, there wasn’t even gluten free bread on the buffet, we have waited around 15min till I call somebody to serve us a coffee , nobody could even see us seating down to the table , 2 days before we arrive to nice we stayed in Cannes for 2 days in 4stare hotel and was much better with everything, we did even have a coffee machine in our room , breakfast staff very attentive all was much better .

Cons: Had an incident where the staff told us our breakfast came with the room, then they later charged us for breakfast. Staff member said he never told us that, even though he gave us a tour of the breakfast room. We paid, but were surprised that the hotel basically accused of lying. A 4 star hotel at that price has clients like us who can afford breakfast, so it was strange that they made us feel as if we were trying to skip out on our bill. Other than that, we had a nice stay and the staff was very accommodating.

Cons: The hotel was horrible. we ordered 3 rooms that , from them - 2 rooms were absolutely stink. The small was very bad. We even ordered a suite that even the staff said it was smelled from cigarette, they knew about it but the still sold it. When we tried to change the room the said it is not possible, and they will not do anything to call the manager or change us to another hotel. Just after 4 hours of screaming and declaring that we will sleep on the lobby floor after we paid 600$ a night, the let us sleep in a “reserved room”. They said the wouldn’t refund the money. STAY AWAY !! Our vacation was ruined, horrible staff and rooms.

Used Coffee and milk in the room were not replace for the whole stay till we asked in the last day. Only one small welcome water bottle and again not replaced. Room was double room for 2 persons. Breakfast was poor. Egg is cold. No forks, knives or napkins on the table. We have to serve ourselves. Many food stuff finishes and not place till you ask ( cheese, hot milk, fruits, croissant). No ready to eat boiled egg. You have to boil by yourself. It was a help yourself if you can breakfast. An american lady guest helped us where to find the forks and knives and napkins.

Cons: Came here on our honeymoon. The roadworks outside were very loud and honestly made it difficult to really stay in the room or sit on the balcony for long. Staff offered us breakfast in exchange for this (after a fair amount of complaint), which was OK (wouldn't pay full price for it for sure). I know not the fault of the hotel but we wouldn't have stayed here if we'd have known how bad the roadworks are.

Cons: Our “king” bed was two twins pushed together, which I fell in between. Breakfast had a lot of choices, but many were gross. The scrambled eggs had a strange chemical aftertaste that I couldn’t tolerate. The airport shuttle we ordered was late, and when it arrived it wasn’t the right vehicle, which was too small to meet our needs. We had to wait for another shuttle to arrive, and when it finally did, we were told it would cost €20 more than we were quoted. Wow.

The bedroom doors did not lock and it was poorly handled by the management team when we advised them of this and were told, that the rooms should not be locked as it is a fire hazard. The rooms were outdated and were unkept- The bathroom sink fitting had multiple sharp chips and the glasses for the room were also chipped and the door to the room was damaged with a massive dent. Two of the reception staff were very rude and were unhelpful when we raised our concern regarding the room state. The pictures show that the beach looks attached to the hotel, when in fact they are a separate beach club.

Also, disappointingly, although the rooftop terrace and pool are appealing features of the hotel, access to it was denied from 5pm, unless you were a corporate guest, or had hired the area for a special event. Over the years we have used this hotel, priorities seem to have shifted from individual bookings to business/corporate use, which is a pity when we have shown loyalty to the hotel, and recommended it to friends....

Cons: Basically we loved it here but the only thing we didn’t like was that the bar was noisy ( popular ) our G&T was huge and inappropriate, no coasters or serviettes offered

Cons: We pre-booked car parking and had been advised to pull up outside the hotel to unload our bags and collect the parking ticket. However, when we arrived we were hurried away as a seemingly ‘more important’ visitor was being attended to. Upon our return, an apology was not forthcoming and the description of of where to find the pre-booked underground parking was misleading. We ended up parking in another car park and pulling our cases to the hotel. This was a disappointing start but otherwise our overnight stay was very pleasant.

Cons: Breakfast is ridiculously expensive. Shower is over a very deep bath making it very difficult to get in and out of. The decor is tired and in need of a renovation. Staff are not very friendly.

Cons: The room was not in good shape. The ceiling had a cover but revealed the air ducts. The shower glass leaked while I was taking a shower and the water was all over the bathroom floor. The carpet seemed very worn. The light in the wall was barely hanging on the wall. The furniture was very worn also with water marks on the night stand. Overall the facility needed a facelift. I was also disappointed that the lounge area at the beach was closed and I had to lay on the stones. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was for the beach lounge area.

Cons: - Single use plastic cups in the bathroom even though the hotel focuses on sustainability. - First room had damaged windows that could not be fully closed / securely locked. - Loud rooms. Not at all suitable for light sleepers - Lamps, handles etc. were loose - Elevator ridiculously small - Not all of the standard 4 star hotel requirements are fulfilled (no upholstered chair/couch with side table, Hotelbar was only a very small fridge in the lobby, no cosmetic products like nail file and heating facility in the bathroom) - Breakfast in a small room with only a small variety of food and drinks (eggs must be boiled by oneself for example) - Corridors small and dark - Noises in other rooms are clearly noticeable - Chipping colour at many spots inside the room and the corridors - Broken lightbulbs weren’t replaced in the bathroom which made it even darker - On request only one out of two towels could be provided cause of lack of clean towels - One time use place mats at the breakfast room (not sustainable) - Minibar at the rooms = one little fridge on the floor with one free bottle of water All in all we stayed at 3 different rooms because of problems that couldn’t be fixed right away. No matter on what floor we stayed it was loud from the outside.

Cons: I booked a single and had NO idea that meant there was literally only room for a twin bed. It was small enough that it could have been a room on a train or ship. The bathroom was impossible - I literally couldn’t brush my teeth or wash my face over the sink because I couldn’t fit my head in the nook for the impossibly tiny sink, and I’m not a large person. The shower had no rim or door to keep the water in - it was just the same floor as the rest of the bathroom, and it flowed out into the room unless you put the head all the way in the corner against the wall and showered like that. Furthermore, they sprayed an awful perfume in the room and main lobby that gave me a migraine. It’s not super close to the main area - it’s either a 10 minute walk to the tram which then costs a euro fifty or a 25 minute walk to get there. The area the hotel is in isn’t nice - mostly just businesses and a KFC.

There’s parking lot opposite of the hotel for non peak hours (6pm-9am night time) charging 1.6 euros per hour and peak hours (9am-6pm day time) charging 2.9 euros per hour. The hotel has coupons for parking but you still need to pay a good amount.

I don’t understand why they then bothered me to ask one week upfront. - the hotel is located in an area with a limited number of restaurants in the direct vicinity. - I didn’t feel safe when returning to the hotel at night in the area around the hotel

Cons: the doors were EXTREMELY loud even when you tried to close them carefully (which the cleaning staff did not). there were two signs for the door, one saying you wanted room cleaning and one saying you did not. we put the sign saying we did not want room cleaning and the cleaning staff opened our door anyways as we were saying we were in the room. the next night we tried putting no sign and they opened our door 3 separate times (the first at 10am) before calling our room to ask if we wanted room cleaning. the cleaning staff was extremely noisy and woke us up early every morning. the do not want cleaning sign said that if you refuse cleaning the hotel will provide drinks but instead they gave us one granola bar. the elevator also seemed a little rickety and was leery of using it

Also our room was located where the windows opened to a roof with massive ventilation, we had the noise all day. We asked for towels we were given some very disgusting towels which was very embarrassing for a 4 star hotel. I will NOT recommend this place at all.

Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, some completely unhelpful...we requested an ocean view room if possible on booking and received a confirmation that our request had been granted, with no upcharge. Very nice. Upon arrival we found there were no ocean view rooms available. Not a big deal, but Their response was very unprofessional. The room itself lacked outlets, the WiFi didn’t work, there were only 2 towels total, and the view was of the roof., and there were no added amenities like shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast was average (we opted not to pay the fee), but the room it was served in was nice.

Cons: We arrived slightly early c1.30pm and couldn't check in until 3pm. Initially staff weren't that welcoming considering we had just paid over 450 Euros for one night for a family room, albeit probably because we booked two days before arrival. Defintely not a 450 Euro per night hotel! Also found it quite noisey from road noise in the early hours, not helped by all the road works currently being undertaken directly outside the hotel. We arrived down to breakfast at 9.55am and were then told quite abruptly by the waitress that breakfast was closing and that we were too late. Despite this we grabbed a couple of croissants and fruit to take away and were confronted quite rudely by the waitress! She obviously was not experienced or trained to be customer facing and front of house!

It is very well located, 15 minutes walking to the beach and esplanade and 3-4 minutes to the Nice's Central Station. The room and the bathroom are not big but decent. The staff at the reception was very helpfull and nice.

It always turns out that when we arrive at the hotel, we are always welcomed at the reception by the wonderful girl Nabila, thank you very much, a professional in her field. Pros: The two stars hotel, it is actually more than a two stars hotel. It was clean and well priced for its location. Not too much to ask for 2 days stay. It is very well located, 15 minutes walking to the beach and esplanade and 3-4 minutes to the Nice's Central Station. The room and the bathroom are not big but decent. The staff at the reception was very helpfull and nice.
Cons: The view was not great, very close to another building but the windows had shutters so everything was ok. A bit noisy because of its location, but you can't have it all. Another issue because of the location is the parking spots which are missing. It is a challenge (nightmare) to find a free parking spot nearby, but there's one close to the central station where it can be easily and safely parked (it costs around 24euro/24 hours) - however the entrance in the parking requires a lot of attention being very tight. We choose to not have breakfast at the hotel (8 eur/ pers I think) because it had only french sweets for breakfast (croissants, pain au chocolat or jam) and wanted something more diverse.

Pros: This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel, as proximity to the train station is very important to us. It always turns out that when we arrive at the hotel, we are always welcomed at the reception by the wonderful girl Nabila, thank you very much, a professional in her field. I also want to thank the entire hotel team.

Cons: Staff unfriendly, fitness room for the price paid very poor, poor WiFi availability, no toilet paper anymore on the last day (!). Bad smell in the hotel, especially on the top floor. Partly dirty... No hotel parking available, guys at the entrance not much of a help. Extremely crowded place, not what I expect from a hotel in this class. We had many many better stays with a better value for money during our roadtrip. Not really a recommendation.

Cons: The wi-fi did not function on either laptop devices in either of our rooms despite frequent requests to reception to boost the signal. We requested assistance from the IT person. It did not materialise. The bath tub plug did not work so baths in room 954 were impossible. The sink plug in room 950 failed to release water meaning the sink was full of soap scum. The extractor fan in the lavatory in 950 was continuously on and was very noisy.

We called 3 times and they stated the WiFi was being rebooted, however the only reception was in the lobby and it was still was not working well. We had to resign on every time to even attempt to log in, however >90 % of the time it did not work. One of us had work to be done as well and had to leave to find a cafe with WiFi in order to complete the work. Overall, great location, staff friendly, fine rooms. We were woken up one morning by the cleaning staff before 9 am and they opened the door while we were sleeping.

I wasn't told about how to get breakfast so I missed it each morning The carpets and rooms were dirty, the main door to outside was broken and didn't close properly, making ht e room unsecured as all the rooms along the front had the same balcony with just a rope to divide them. I couldn't get access to the one small lift half the time. There was poor parking and unloading

Cons: My daughter's birthday 6th October 2019. We ordered a bottle of House Champagne, a bottle of warmTattinger was finally brought to us. we were charged for the Tattinger instead of the house Champagne which we paid for. We had ordered a taxi for 12.30pm to take us to Eze for lunch. The Taxi arrived at 12.15pm and the driver hovered around us even though our Champagne had only just been served making us uncomfortable. My husband and myself arrived back at the hotel at 10pm and asked for a coffee. The barman told us the bar was closed. No tea or coffee in the room refreshments tray. Plenty of sugar though. My credit card had already been charged when we arrived even though my confirmation confirmed the booking was payment on arrival. Had to got to the bother of having it refunded to pay cash.
