Very good location. Close to the Madison Square Garden
The worst sofa bed I've ever seen. Really not comfortable. Really old. The room was not clean and they did the cleaning only once in 3 nights. Really noisy room. Windows are not noise-cancelling and the hotel is on 7th Avenue. The hotel doesn't want to put the heat at 55 Fahrenheit (12 Celsius). It was really really cold inside the room. The front desk was horrible. We had to wait more than an hour to have a blanket because it was really cold inside the room. The room was also shaking every time the subway goes below the hotel.
Cleanliness of bathroom , noise from the road due to gap around the air conditioning unit, stains on the carpet , decor tired , poor view ,
Not a lot Im afraid.
I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was just ok then, upon my return there were no updates, the rooms aren't really dated but are extremely used and they feel quite grubby! With travelling for work I stayed over a week, while the bed was made up daily there was little cleaning done to spruce-up the room, the room was dusty, needed a good vacuum and the bathroom needed a darn good clean, the smell of urine was poignant when I arrived and this was never changed throughout showing the lack of cleaning of the bathroom and use of any cleaning products. The area is central, as to be expected, but 7th avenue is a pit of dirty streets, lined with rubbish and (no fault of their own) but huge amount of homeless, most of which appear to be sky-high and this felt a little unpredictable as I encountered odd behaviour daily, once even being punched in the back! Not a great area, staying downtown is still accessible to tourist areas but much more pleasant.
The two front ladies, Kay & Lucy, were extremely welcoming and professional. They were friendly and helped me out with all of my questions. They definitely made the stay better knowing that they would be of assistance if I had any issues. They both also had great smiles ;) to continue.. The view from the lounge was amazing and made my first time in the city a great one. Thank you.
I have no complaints!
Nice location !
Room is not modern , heat wasn’t work , breakfast was outside the hotel with vouchers not specified in the details
