When I booked car I was given a special promotion (nowhere said electric in small print as the rep from Hertz insisted). Car was booked for a long trip, there is no way I could stop often to charge vehicle. Very poor sales tactics from Hertz. Bad!Reviewed 29 Jul 2026

Horrible experience picking up and dropping off. I was over charged and charged for intercity fee when the location I picked up at was closed.Reviewed 24 Jun 2026

When I picked up my rental they told me I'd rented an electric car...nowhere in any selection or rental agreement did it say anything about electric. My destination was in an apartment parking garage and I'd have no access to a charger so I told them electric wouldn't work. They said my only option was to upgrade for an additional $120. They gave me a Jeep Compass that was filthy on the outside. Poor experience all around.Reviewed 1 Mar 2026

Friendly service, vehicle was an excellent ride, and price was great. I rented a 2500 Dodge Ram and spent around $180 in gas full ride from San Antonio,TX to Albuquerque, NM. In my opinion, this was a superb deal on the gas expense. I say this because one way in my old vehicle would cost between $120-$140 one way in our economical car so I would say for sure great deal. I hauled mezquite wood and still only paid so little. I highly recommend it.Reviewed 8 Aug 2025

I selected San Antonio airport for the location, but somehow got switched to a Hertz 15 minutes away from the airport and further away from my Airbnb. I could either pay more than double my booking rate there or take an Uber to the other location. We took an Uber and I had made the mistake of selecting the manager special to save $1 a day, but that would only be an electric car which I know nothing about or where to charge and I didn’t want to deal with that so I ended up paying $15 more a day for a regular basic 4 sedan. I called Hertz to ask if I could drop the car off at the airport instead and it would be $90 extra, so we ubered again to save money. The staff at the location I ended up at were nice but didn’t offer to help with any of the issues that had occurred. The lady at the airport counter was rude and basically laughed at me thinking I could get that low of rates at the airport. I haven’t rented a car in years and have never paid that much or had this issue occur. Idk if this was a booking through a third party issue but in the future I’ll do more research and not just trust what is put in front of me.Reviewed 9 Apr 2025

I did not get my truck. The Kayak website allowed me to book a vehicle that was not available and I didn’t find out until I was at the counter. The attendant let me know that they did not have any trucks or vans anywhere in San Antonio this Weekend. That was extremely stressful and frustrating.Reviewed 17 Jan 2025
