Could not rent the car as I did not have physical D/L. I had a digital Diver’s License as provided by the State of Louisiana, It is all that one is required to have as it contains all information, the original photo on the physical DL, and the QR code for scanning as well. Despite having this, along with a passport, and other forms of official ID, I could not rent the car and I could not cancel my reservation to receive a refund. Everyone reaches out when you seek to rent, but no one is readily available if there is an issue.Reviewed 21 May 2025

Kayak allowed me to book the rental car and charged me for the insurance right away yet when I arrived in Newark after paying $220 for an Uber from LaGuardia at three in the morning, I was told “I cannot honor that reservation“ since it wasn’t made 24 hours in advance. I was left with no rental car an expensive Uber ride to where I thought there was a car since my reservation was confirmed and was left with no way to get a car. It seems like this process shouldn’t have allowed that to happen.Reviewed 21 May 2025

My experience with Kayak was terrible. For the second time using Kayak, I was misled when I arrived at the car rental company’s counter. First, the car category in the company’s system was different from what I had purchased and had proof of. On top of that, the insurance wasn’t included. My Kayak reservation receipt didn’t mention anything about insurance. Unacceptable! In the end, I paid more than twice what I had originally agreed to. Truly disappointing!Reviewed 17 May 2025

The damage had previous damage that is documented yet the company is trying to blame me for it. Also it was not made clear that when doing a pre-paid rental throughAffirm that you cant complete the rental because you do not have a physical card and the deposit fee is not included. A previous client had smoked Marijuana in the vehicle and we brought it up to Hertz attendant immediately. He said hel’ll make a note of it. The other note, it would be nice to have an after hours dropp off or some self checkout mechanism.Reviewed 16 May 2025
